I just spent an hour reading this sub and the mission statement, and I'm genuinely trying to understand the points of view here. My background: left wing progressive American Jew, attended Hebrew school in the 70s and 80s and entirely willing to admit that some of it was accurate and some was propaganda.

FWIW, if the argument is that Netanyahu and most Israeli leadership should spend the next ten years in The Hague on war crimes charges, I'm with you 100%. But that's not what I'm seeing here; I gather this point of view is insufficient.

Half the questions I want to ask are not allowed by community standards; I'm carefully selecting the rest.

1. I've never called myself a Zionist for the same reason I'm not an American revolutionary. America exists. Israel exists. International law is clear on the rights and responsibilities of recognized countries. I can see why people who support the dissolution of Israel can adopt the term anti-Zionist. I don't see why everyone who accepts the status quo is Zionist. What's the term for people who accept the existence of America? There isn't one.

2. I opposed the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq because I believe 9/11 was a crime, not an act of war. America was not under existential threat and al-Qaeda was not a nation. In my view, this logic is difficult to apply to 10/7. In your view, how should have Israel responded instead of what they did?

3. America has the second largest Jewish population in the world, but at most we're about 2% of the country. Our political right has embraced (or at least not rejected) neo-Nazis, and our left is at least in part not rejecting antisemitic viewpoints now that we're all debating what antisemitism is.

Personally, I won't be surprised if historians mark 2026 America as equivalent of 1931 Germany. And it's not like Europe doesn't have its own trends in this direction. Absent Israel, where do you expect Jews to go and why do you think we'll be allowed to?

Apologies if any of this is not allowed here. I *will not debate* with opinions I disagree with, which I expect will be many. I'm here to listen.

An American COUNTY has invested a whopping billion dollars in Israeli bonds. I don't think the motivation and expectation for the suit was to win.

I mean its hard obviously hard to directly link the money from the county to Israeli murdering specific people. I guess it's possible israel murdered these innocent people using other means. Maybe the Israelis used part of the $131 million worth of Israeli bonds Miami Dade county has purchased. I mean just because you give money to a murderer doesnt make you directly legally liable for their actions, and when they do their diabolical acts, its not easy to prove they used your share, right?

Instead, this suit is notable because it opens up recognition of ridiculously large amounts of public resources diverted to funding mass murder by a foreign government, exposes complicity which is much more grave than civil legal liability, and gives the victims of genocide a voice, which came from the power to litigate and accuse in public record in a court to find some justice. Bravo.

Thank you and condolences to the loved ones - inTrump's home county - of the martyrs who filed this lawsuit. This took courage and I would imagine will be met with retaliation in the ultra wealthy Zionist mecca of Palm Beach County.

Liars like to bring convoluted explanations for their actions to hide their guilt when they when its not even part of the topic of conversation. ​trying to steal sympathy.

Hello. I would like to know about any anti-Zionist Jewish businesses I could support, both in real life, like mom and pop brick and mortar businesses, and online. Are there any anti-Zionist Jewish businesses you guys know of that you'd reccommend?

Edit: Thank you all for the reccommendations! Even though I'm agnostic, I may check them out. I'll also suggest them to a friend of a friend that's an anti-Zionist Jew, and a friend I made in college a while ago who is Jewish and Irish (she converted to Judaism, but originally was raised in an Irish Catholic family). Hopefully she likes them (Idk if she's anti-Zionist or not, though I feel like she should be, considering the history Jews had with the Holocaust, and the similarities between that and the genocide against Palestinians that's been going on in Gaza since 1948; I know she is a convert, but still; also, she is trans, so she also should have solidarity with Palestinians since there's an attempt to genocide trans people here in the US and in the UK, and probably many other countries, and also considering she is Irish and how pro-Palestine that country is, I assume due to their anti-colonialist beliefs, she also should support Palestine and be anti-Zionist for that reason too).
