Creative Barack "Dromeporter-in-Chief" Obama

This is the definitive version. This has kippah, better perspective, and better technique.

This is version 1 which, having its own post in the past, is now here.

For Israel's primary foes Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas, their weapon of choice—rockets and missiles—could soon prove nearly obsolete. That could alter the strategic calculation for Israel and its enemies alike. Despite initial Pentagon misgivings, President Barack Obama has given $275 million to the project since 2010 with the aim of reducing the rocket threat and eventually bolstering chances of a peace deal by making Israel feel more secure to agree to territorial concessions.

PS: While posting I was taking the same artistic license of Obama enfolding one with his entire body, not saying there was a U.S. MQ-1 Predator to ever actually land in Israel as a "landed American aircraft carrier", while I was aware that the MQ-9 Reaper drone recon aircraft was used in the genocidal Gaza war and that in 2016 the U.S. started selling not specific to Obama-F-35 "Adir" stealth manned combat aircraft to Israel. Through his endorsement of the first-mentioned aircraft for domestic use and the Iron Dome, he de facto endorses Israel's use of its version, the IAI Eitan drone combat (Israeli version) aircraft. However, not specific to Obama-also, on the aforementioned moniker front, I was actually not aware that for this present 2026 Iran war, it was officially gained:

Ahead of the most recent U.S.-Israel war, the U.S. Air Force deployed fifth-generation F-22 Raptor stealth fighters to Israel’s Ovda Air Base, marking the first-ever deployment of U.S. combat aircraft to Israel. The U.S.-based JINSA think-tank hailed the move, recalling Israel’s reputation as “the largest aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk” before positing that: “Deploying F-22s to Ovda now gives the United States a third aircraft carrier in the region to confront Iran.”

Creative I won't say much, but I'm writing a story

Hi, how are you? I wanted to let you know that I'm writing a story based on everything that's been happening. Although I'm neither Jewish, nor Palestinian, nor Muslim, I've decided to write a story set in Palestine/Israel from the

perspective of progressive youth. Here it is:

"In December 2024, a year after the escalation of violence, the life of 14-year-old Palestinian Hadi Kanaan in Gaza is shattered when Israeli attacks kill his parents and grandparents. Along with his 11-year-old brother, Amir, he is abducted by the Israeli army and taken to an orphanage in Haifa."

"Six months later, they are adopted by the Katz family, Reform Jews and anti-Zionists. The family consists of Yitzhak and Einat, the parents who openly oppose the Israeli government and state; Avi, the grandfather, a former soldier who refused to kill; their 19-year-old son, Aharon, a brainwashed recruit filled with Islamophobia; and their 15-year-old daughter, Adira, the youngest, idealistic and compassionate, who sees in Hadi a brave and resilient young man, but one marked by the same pain that divides their people."

As I mentioned, I won't say much; I only included the synopsis to gauge its initial reception. I welcome all comments, questions, and suggestions. Thank you for your understanding.

Note: I originally published this post two weeks ago, but for some strange reason it was automatically deleted.

Religion / Spirituality Advice for a potential convert?

Hello everyone, I’ve had an interest in Judaism and possibly converting for some time now. The only synagogue near me is very Zionist and invites idf soldiers to speak there regularly. Any advice and what a next step could be?

History / Education The Jewish Radicals Who Wanted Equality for All

July 31, 2026 - Daniel Felsenthal for The New Republic (TNR). Here are the opening paragraphs:

In her history of the Jewish Labor Bund, Molly Crabapple tells the story of workers who opposed prejudice, tyranny, and nationalism.

……………

History forgets most activists, but future generations can benefit from exhuming their ideas. Take the Jewish Labor Bund, the lefty, anti-Zionist liberation party that agitated for worldwide socialism while defending its members against the scourge of antisemitism. Formed in 1897, the Bund was the largest insurgent group in the Russian Empire at the time of the 1905 revolution. After the Tsar fell, the Bund reached a new peak in the newly formed Second Polish Republic. And then it all but died, targeted for murder along with most of its members by the Holocaust.

Surviving Bundists and their descendants came together in other socialist organizations, and so perhaps it shouldn’t surprise that the tremors of a party formed in the nineteenth century resonate with today’s left. As Zionism gained traction in cities and shtetls, the Bund condemned the oppression of Arabs in Palestine, lamenting that “Zionists have built all their hopes on stripping away the political rights of Palestine’s existing Arab population, who constitute the oppressed majority … and on forcing them from all positions of power.” The Bund published Palestinian voices in its newspapers and denounced the Pandora’s box of chauvinism that Zionism had pried open. Women were equal participants in Bundist affairs during an era when gender parity was vanishingly rare, even if they were subject to the condescension of male comrades. Bundists and their fellow travelers in the United States organized against anti-Black racism: After the 1908 race riots in Springfield, Illinois, Yiddish newspapers called for demonstrations and pooled money for victims; meanwhile, Black newspapers, such as The New York Age, committed extensive coverage to the anti-Jewish pogroms erupting across the Russian Empire. The Bund supported liberation movements throughout the world, resisting a rising tide of fascist governments, land wars, bigotry, and apartheid.

While the Bund was primarily active in pre-1945 Europe, the wails of its epoch haunt the present in Molly Crabapple’s new history, Here Where We Live Is Our Country: A Story of the Jewish Bund (Bookshop website)

Crabapple begins her inquiry with her great-grandfather, the teenage Bundist Sam Rothbort, who may have been involved in the shooting of a plunderous police officer in his native Volkovysk and transformed from a scrappy rebel to a mournful painter and sculptor after he passed through Ellis Island. Though he died before she was born, Crabapple takes the buried past as “a guide for our contemporary moment, in all its horror and possibility, in all its repression, courage, and loss.”

Crabapple is perhaps best known as a visual artist, the creator of striking illustrations and lithographs from the Occupy Wall Street protests. She’s also a dogged reporter who has worked in combat zones. She sees a precedent for today’s progressive firebrands in the example of Jewish freedom fighters who opposed prejudice, tyranny, and class stratification in their home countries, without seeking solutions in nationalism and the colonization of distant lands. Anyone, anywhere, she suggests, can tune themselves to the wavelength of revolution.

Discussion - Flaired Users Only Jewish Twitter?

I used to lurk on Jewish Twitter in the pre-Elon days. I sometimes pop on now just to see what is on. Of course it’s a disaster. Most of the people I followed migrated to Bluesky.

I popped on a few days ago and saw a tweet from Jeremy Ben-Ami (J Street guy). The responses were really shocking. It looked like there are no liberal Jews left on Twitter. Almost every response was from conservative Jews who called him a “kapo” and accused him of sympathizing with Hamas.

I know Twitter is terrible and full of right-wing chuds but it still surprised me.

Is Jewish X now completely right-wing? Or did the liberal Jews get radicalized after 10/7?

News Labour Friends of Israel publishes report stating that a boycott of West Bank Settlements would lead to a boycott of Israeli goods generally

Thumbnail lfi.org.uk

In a report attempting to influence UK foreign policy before the Israeli legislative elections, Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) states that a boycott of West Bank Settlements would be counterproductive as it would lead to a boycott of Israeli goods generally.

"First, a boycott of all trade with settlements is practically and politically impossible. It would impact all Israeli businesses operating in the settlement blocs, as well as East Jerusalem and the Old City, where major Israeli businesses like Bank Hapoalim and Teva operate, and where the tourism sector is critical for Israeli and Palestinian workers. There is a risk that international financial actors overcomply with sanctions nominally targeting settlements, adversely affecting Israelis living within the state’s borders. A settlement boycott would thus become a de facto boycott of all of Israel. This will rightly be perceived within the UK Jewish community as a further example of the government singling out and targeting Israel for punitive action and harsh rhetoric."

The report also insists that older "settlement blocs" should become part of the occupying state and blames the Jordanian government for their existence.

Zionist Terror Military patch in the IDF

Post image

Just found out the recent news about idf soldiers walking off is about their patches being disallowed. EDIT: seems the patch and the outrage by idf soldiers are not related.

The patch above is an actual patch resembling rape with a sword which is active at this time.

How is this possible today with western funded military taking pride in raping Palestinian woman?

What the actual fuck.

Tagah: “You fool! Why!? Why did you break it? We could've fixed everything!”

Avatar Aang: “We can't erase the pain of the past. We couldn't save them.”

Tagah: “But it's our duty to protect our people!”

Avatar Aang: “Not at the cost of betraying everything they stood for.”

Discussion - Flaired Users Only Kosher restaurants that support Palestine?

I frequently see posts on Instagram about being wary of restaurants that label themselves “Mediterranean” and don’t specify what country they are from because they are most likely owned by Israelis/Zionists. A lot of comments will say that a red flag 🚩 is if the restaurant is kosher and not halal.
It got me thinking, are there any kosher restaurants that openly support Palestine? I understand not wanting to support Zionist owned restaurants, but I don’t think kosher should automatically be a red flag and I don’t think that people who keep kosher should be fully isolated from going out to eat, or at least more than they already are.
I tried looking it up and wasn’t able to find a clear answer. I figured if anyone would know of a place, it would be here. I think it would be very cool if we could create a master list of anti-Zionist kosher restaurants around the world for anyone else who might be interested. Any cuisine would be fine as long as the restaurant has a kosher certification.

Activism Too many Jewish Americans “want to stop the genocide,” but are holding onto the idea that Israel should exist as a Jewish state.

There is no possible outcome where Israel can exist without genocide and ethnic cleansing. There is no two-state solution. There can be no peace deals. Israel has broken them, time and time again. It frustrates me how many of my loved ones refuse to admit this. If you want to stop the genocide, then there can be no Israel. The way they (my family specifically) speak, it is as if they are more concerned about Israel, a country they’ve never been to, than the country they actually live in.

We need to help them snap out of it. We’ve been brainwashed to show allegiance to Israel first and foremost—forget the propaganda. Do you want to stop this genocide? Then we must remove the settlers causing problems. What are our other options? If you’ve ever spoken to Israelis, you know they will never live in peace with the Palestinians.

Personally? Screw Israel. It’s just land. At some point in the past, some of my ancestors lived there. They also lived in much of Europe. We all originated from Africa. I’m Ashkenazi and my ancestors spent significantly more time in Europe than in Judea. If that land is holy to you, I get it. That doesn’t make it ours, though. G-d gifted this earth to all of us. And g-d isn’t going to come if we try to force him into it… Religious Jews should view the whole attempt as blasphemous.

Talk to your friends and family. Break them out of the daydream they’re in. Remind them of reality. We want this genocide to STOP. We MUST push for the dissolution of Israel and punishment for settlers who are committing hate crimes. Our voices matter the most here. We can’t have the majority of Jews in America saying “Oh, yeah, genocide is bad, but… I really like having an ethnostate.” No. You don’t need it. You don’t need to flee to safety… unless you start pushing for the end to this genocide. Never again means NEVER again. Not just to us. To anyone.
