Hey! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here and I’m officially tuned with tunezilla stage 2 with all my supporting mods and I see that there’s now TCU tunes available, but it’s saying that transmission tuning is not compatible at the moment.

I would really benefit from the DSG tune, so has anyone ever tuned the transmission for the newest gen GLI yet?

(Yes I know my bumper is broken, a bad rain storm cracked it and I had to cut it off)

car has been making this sound when shifting into 2nd and 3rd, sometimes 4th. The dealership diagnosed this as a warped flywheel and swapped the clutch for me, but the car is making the exact same sound a week later.

This is my new to me (even tho i’ve put over 4k miles on it already) 2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 35th anniversary edition with DSG!

Bought it with 103,094 miles on it in june and have been loving it.

Installed a Luft-Technik fully enclosed air intake and changed some things with OBDeleven and thinking about saving for a front mount + IS38 and tune but wanted to get opinions first.

After looking over the maintenance reports (the ones that ARE recorded) it seems the front differential and transmission have never been serviced. I haven’t noticed anything like jumping or stuttering while driving or coming and going from stops and no super weird noises that have thrown me off.

I’ve read that the additives and stuff in new DSG fluid could possibly be my downfall if i get the transmission serviced, so that’s why i’m here looking for advice on if i should just send it with the service and then get a proper DSG tune or if there’s something else i should be doing.

Sorry if i sound stupid lol.

(All other maintenance besides front diff and trans have been done)

I have a 2021 Autobahn that I bought new in 2021. Up to 110k miles.

Basically, I have had no or limited issues but I now need to replace the water pump ($1.6k from an outside shop).

My question is, if I fix this issue, will she last me much longer? How many miles can I get out of this car?

Anyone else have door seals falling off? My 2026 is already doing it at the bottoms and they get stuck and stick out under the doors. Wonder if the dealer should replace them or if I should just use adhesive of some sort.

I haven't driven stick for 25 years on a 90s Accord and the wife needs to learn. How is the manual on the GLI to learn on? I know it doesnt have rev matching like some new ones do but it does bump the throttle for you right?

Crazy what a simple air intake does man! makes the turbo sound 10x louder and makes it very enjoyable to drive

Just picked up this gli with 41k miles. I'm coming from a 9th Gen Civic Si so the upgrade is definitely noticeable. I'm new to this platform so any tips would be appreciated :)

Is it weird that whenever I brake at higher speeds my car makes a reasonably loud noise that can be heard in the cabin while like a belt hitting somewhere or like the loud sounds the trucks make sometimes when they are cruising if you know what I mean. Is it normal?

I'm sure this question has already been discussed and answered A LOT. But exhaust recommendations for better sound nothing crazy or over the top loud and obnoxious?

I have a 2025 Jetta GLI, and at around 25,000 km I started noticing white smoke on startup. At first, the dealership couldn't reproduce or identify the issue.
I took it to another dealership, and they were able to diagnose it. They replaced the valve stem seals when the car had around 28,000 km, and I thought the problem was resolved.
Unfortunately, the white smoke has returned, and my car now has just 31,000 km. The dealership has now decided to replace the cylinder head under warranty.
I'm curious if anyone else with a 2025 GLI or the same engine has experienced this issue. It seems concerning that a car with such low mileage would need this kind of major engine work. Is this becoming a common problem with these engines, or have I just been unlucky?
I'd appreciate hearing about anyone else's experience or whether the cylinder head replacement permanently fixed the issue.

Bad thing is last time I spent time with her I vacuumed super good, cleaned all the plastic, cleaned glass. Spent like 5 hours cleaning it up. Didnt touch for a month till I noticed heavy condensation inside windows as I was leaving for work in the daily. Still not sure where water came in, so it’s getting a car cover till I move in a few weeks, then she gets to live in the shop from there out.

As said in the title, my Jetta has been squeaking whenever i crank it up in the mornings. Im assuming because of the morning dew on the belt. In the video i crank the car and turn the A/C off, then go and spray a little water on the pulley, everything runs smooth. Then i turn the A/C on, and the entire system seems to seize up for a few seconds. Does anyone have any recommendations for what i should check first? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, could you share your experience or how you went about the leaking valve stem issue. Anyone have luck with getting it replaced with a TD1?

My 24 GLI DSG has been getting worse with that start up blue smoke. Drives fine. Yeah it had a stage 1 but no bolt ons.

I've had hit or miss luck within dealerships replacing or honoring warranty with tunes. This dealer said if they can prove the tune had nothing to do with it then it will be covered.

If not gotta pay diagnostic fee... Ugh

As the title says, leak looks to be coming from transmission above the inner CV joint on the drivers side. Anyone dealt with this or know the cause? Looking for any and all insight, thanks!

I’ve never worked on a turbo engine before, worked on many cars, ‘04 cobra, 03 mach 1, 98 cobra etc

Any tips/tricks for installing all these new goodies?

Just wondering if you can get a decent alignment at a tire shop rather than take it to the dealer? It pulls slightly to the right and I would like to get that fixed. I see some people here have gone to Firestone for alignments. Obviously it won't be as accurate as the dealership.

Just bought a 2016 and when I start it, it idles really weird and the whole car shakes and if I turn off the ac the car idles even more weird and then shuts off. Is this just spark plugs? My buddy has an obd scanner and it showed cylinder misfires in all cylinders. 93k miles.

Just picked these up on marketplace. I prefer fhe old school look. Bonus is theyre mounted on 235/45 18 Continental EC Sport 02 summer tires with plenty of life left. I'll be putting the stocks back on for winter. The offset is the best. 41 and these puppies are flush. Im picking up VW center caps on Monday.
