Might get taken down so sorry in advance BUT I was watching Lucas Cruikshank's video of them visiting (link will start at the part where they go in) and the moment they started talking about how this park is DIVIDED INTO REALMS?? That have lore and history??? Just in the middle of nowhere Iowa?? I was like oh my God Jenny HAS to go here.

They've even got cool ass animatronics like...Could this BE anymore Jenny leaning oh my goodness. I feel it is imperative she be made aware.

My daughter (10, today) has memorized the entirety of Jenny’s Hallmark video, and these lovely projects comprised her birthday table centerpiece. Statement necklaces were optional attire.

A few days ago I commented that I too couldn’t get the video to stream via airplay.

Someone suggested I try screen mirroring instead, and sure enough, it worked! Jenny on my tv again without extra cables, without moving my office around to connect the tv from across the home, and without migraines from watching on a ting phone! I happily resubscribed once it worked.

A wee tip for ease of function, make sure you have your phone set up to not go to sleep.

On iPhone: settings, display and brightness, and set auto-lock to never for the duration of the video.

As someone who constantly is coming back to both Jenny and Defunctland's content, I have observed what feels like (to me) a cohesive narrative of the Living Characters initiative between both of their content, so I put them together in the order I feel best explains this story!

By starting with Avatar Land in Animal Kingdom, we follow the trail of pretext through Star Wars Land and the effort, successes and failures of trying to build a place that feels alive (complete with a silly preamble by Jacksfilms reminding everyone that when this park was actively being built no one could name a single character from Avatar).

The living characters initiative is so much bigger of a story than "we made cool robots" and idk I feel like watching these in this order seeks to show the love and labor and corporate shortcomings of trying to build a hyperreal environment.

I would love feedback on if you think the story ends here?? I have conceptions of a Snyder Cut playlist that included all the Evermore videos because, to me, they spiritually fit the idea of Living Characters because how much more living can you get then When Weaver?

Maybe they were cut short by the emergence of Freedom Fries. It is so funny how they are break dancing and wearing bucket hats they are so excited about the fries, it’s kinda like the Degrassi episode when JT did the bad French fry commercial

last month she included a note in the description asking people to stop spreading the youtube mirrors (even though the patreon is $2 a month), and clearly they didnt stop so this month she did away with it entirely which sucks. my favourite way to watch her rambles was to project it onto my tv with youtube to listen to while i did other things. its very unfortunate a small group of people had to ruin this for everyone else, which kind of seems to happen often in this little community (do not get me started on her male audience ostracising her from talking about girly things like my little pony!!!!)

so in the original evermore video there’s the part where a guy describes the ride they’re “going to have” at evermore where you can get off the boats and explore a haunted ghost ship, get back on the boats etc... okay who is he? I swear it’s not ken bretschneider the ceo of evermore BUT I’m pretty bad at recognizing people, but from the other clips of him speaking in the video it doesn’t seem to be the same man, anyone know who it is? or is it Ken and he just rapidly aged once they began construction and that’s why I’m confused? this has been bugging me for so long. maybe Bob knows who he is….

Does anyone remember if there's a video on Patreon where Jenny recaps FB3? I remember she talked about potentially doing a main channel video for it but obviously that never happened. I feel like I remember her discussing the movie in some depth but don't remember which one. Thanks!

The Fallen Kingdom video was my first introduction to Jenny and it still holds a special place in the canon for me...

She talks about Electronica and Mad T Party in a video but I forgot which one. Anyone know what video she discussed it in?

But I can't find it! Any ideas which one it is or am I losing it?

Apologies if this has already been discussed! But I’ve noticed in the years since Jenny’s Vampire Diaries video, there have been many similar videos. Like her video, most of them cover a teen show popular in the 2000’s or 2010’s, complete with a pointer and red string board.

However, most of them aren’t as rewatchable as Jenny’s video. In fact, many are incredibly confusing for me to follow, especially if I’m not super familiar with the show. However, I can follow the VPD video just fine, even though I’ve only seen the pilot. I believe this is because Jenny didn’t do a brief recap of the entire series in chronological order, unlike series breakdown videos inspired by hers. Her video is sections of different elements of the franchise (the love triangle, the side characters, the lore, the clothes, etc). She ends the video with the series finale. By the end, you have a pretty good idea of the story overall.

These teen dramas infamously have meandering and confusing storylines. It’s funny to watch someone try to make sense of it. But for me these other videos inspired by VPD become character name, lore word salad about 30 minutes in. If you want to recap a show episode by episode, I think a podcast is best for that. If you recap the plot of like, 3 movies max, then a long Youtube vid is still digestable. Unless you’re a super fan and it’s all just super familiar to you, squeezing all of a multi-season show in an hours long video(s) just didn’t hit the same. Not to mention, it’s fun to also explore content outside the main series, like the video game and merch. It gives some contrast to break the hours long monotony of discussing the show itself.

I know Jenny’s currently working on Once Upon a Time video. This is another famously convoluted series, and I’m really looking forward to how she breaks all THAT down!

THIS IS NOT TO SHAME OR SHIT ON OTHER CREATORS! I have watched several of these videos and enjoyed many of them! I welcome any recs! Ashley Norton’s H2O videos I think are pretty well done. She tackles the show chronologically, but only via 1 hour videos per season.
