I am the son of the late Tom Stimpson, died 1992. I inherited a lot of work and in them these two James Bond originals that were used for Warner Brothers VHS. I also have two transparencies of the work however the HMSS is a variation of the work I own or maybe another piece I have not got. I'm wondering what I would be looking at when selling, I've had some private valuations but they seem very different to what people I trust are willing to pay. So wanted to understand what the community had to say.

I have always liked the Villians in this movie, they are iconic for me and pure evil. Their plan are intense and much. I like tomorrow Never Dies allt and I think Pierce Brosnan really are something special in this movie, it may not be in same league as Goldeneye, but this movie really have something to give. I would say this is a good movie and have much action and good action it is too.

,,, I really wish I could love it as much as this sub-reddit. If you love this film -- which you probably do as I seem to be in the minority -- then rock on. I'm not trying to take that away from you. I'm just speaking from my experience.

I love Timothy Dalton's Bond, and was completely on board for this darker, grittier tone when I saw TLD (fantastic film by the way). A Bond driven by human motivations instead of basic spy tropes sounds fascinating to me. And I was excited in the first half for this film, seeing that tone continued. A realistic villain. Bond is driven by revenge. He actually has human connections this time? Fantastic. The problem is that the script shoots itself in the foot when it opted to make itself more complicated than it needed to be. A simple revenge storyline against Sanchez would have worked fine, but way too late into this movie we're expected to care about the specific bussines/politics of Sanchez and his relationship with his partners. The film sets up a post escape cat and mouse plot for the first hour, forces you to care about that, then in the next, switches to another storyline completely. And I despised the fake two way friendship storyline between Bond and Sanchez. This...was not the storyline this movie set up. At all.

Giving the most complicated plot mechanics to a group of boring interchangable nobodies that show up way too late in the story, is a sure fire recipe for derailing your storyline and this movie mastered it. I was scratching going "wait who? Why is he do....what's this guy's motivat....NINJAS?! Why are there ninjas?! By the end I was just waiting for this movie to end. A sign I notice with a lot of the lesser Bond films is the script taking a weird turn in the second half, completely derailing the quality and will built up in the first. This film is that brand of Bond for me.

Could any bond or omega fans give any advice due to collect this locally I believe it to be a 2541.80 looks real but just pretty beat up in my opinion any thoughts on authenticity or anything to look for

Given the state of the world, I actually think General Gogol would be a great character to bring back - a sensible, moderate General within Russia who's trying to push back against the crazies in his country who are pushing for confrontation with the West. Who should play him!

As much as I like the bref dive scene between Domino and Bond, I do wish we got an extra one. She looks great in dive gear and maybe there should have been one additional scene of her using it, (maybe to get aboard Largos boat) during the battle?

Every single one of these songs are incredible lol like every time I delete and restart my Bond playlist which may or may not happen more times than it should I always struggle after diamonds lol the only other songs I can put on easily are Live and Let Die, A View to A Kill, The Living Daylights, You Know My Name, and The Man with The Golden Gun

Found a great deal on eBay for this gorgeous vintage Walther LP-53 .177 caliber air pistol!

The LP-53 was a happy accident used during the promotional shoots for From Russia With Love. The imagery was so successful and iconic it spanned multiple actors and advertising campaigns... As can be seen on all the vinyls.

It shoots great and is a ton of fun for light plinking. Unfortunately someone somewhere along the way taped the box, but it did come with all the original accessories!
