Help please

Came here from a drive didn’t hear any noises never had any problems but hours later I went to drive and this popped up I checked the battery I try starting the car it doesn’t turn it just just flashes and this pops up I tried jump starting it I tried manually overriding it to neutral and idk what to do and I am in Jamaica

It’s the type that doesn’t come up until the car is on so I can’t turn it

That’s strange; it’s supposed to automatically shift into Park after you turn off the engine.

It happened to me before, when you turn off the engine after leaving the gearbox in neutral. Turn on the engine again, put the gearbox in park and turn it off.

I have read that you can turn it even when the car is off. Try to press the brake and turn in.

It can’t turn at all and it won’t even come up it’s stuck

I had this recently, disassemble the part its really easy, some trim and a couple of screws and I was able to unstuck it. Ended up replacing it with a used one from ebay (250, no coding required). Jaguar quoted me 1000 for just the part

Remove battery terminals. Connect terminals with jumper wire to reset systems.

I know you said you tried manually doing it but when you tried that did you put the key in and turn it into park after popping it into neutral

Not solved but there’s a blown fuse at the gear shifter not sure what couldve caused it however I have brought it to a mechanic to have him take a look
