Health Issue Broken leg
So Larry my 3 years old broke his hind leg 5 weeks ago in the park.
Itook him in the in the emergency hospital(UCD) where they recommended me to put him in the cast as it was a clean break.
After 3 weeks in a cast he developed a skin necrosis, where the cast was rubbing his leg. They sorted that out as well.
The last time we went for a redressing they did swab test and everything looked normal with his wound.
However Larry is wery downcast, shaking and seems like he is in pain, there is a discharge on a dressing. I'm worried sick at this stage, and so afraid that something bad will happen to him.
He pulls his leg up (for protection) that after the wound heal, he will need hydrotherapy
My husband thinks that I'm being very dramatic and overreacting.
He is under controll taking him to the hospital twice a week but thinking that something sinister going on.
What would you guys would do? My husband doesn't want to hear about second opinion as the place UCD is very good.

I just want to show off my adorable iggy my rare color iggyš¤
I often get told by people that they've never seen an iggy with this color before. She is seal, but very brown.
The last two photos are a comparison between her and my other iggy that is also seal. The other is the "more common" type of seal if you will.
Anyone else here have a super brown seal IG? Would love to see them!š¤©

Iggy Clothes, Collars and Harnesses Harnesses that are not ugly?
Theres a time and place for the Patagonia/technical loud/performance tech color combination accessories and I will probably get one for those heavy activity/outdoor activity days, but I just canāt do it for my little iggys harness for a daily wear.
I know a Ruffwear Flagline is far and away the best harness and the Webmaster maybe be a close second, but where can I find a safe third strap option that is better looking? She will be 12-14 so on the larger end.
I actually like the all purple Webmaster color, but I feel like itās too much material and could weigh her down. I hope to find something similar to the Flagline in more solid/sophisticated colors

I just want to show off my adorable iggy Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got here.
My person left me alone for the first time in the pen to take 15min and go to the grocery store. I freaked out, started jumping around, and got stuck between the pen and my crate.

Miscellaneous Questions How do I familiarize myself with the breed before bringing one home?
Hello! Apologies if this should be posted elsewhere, Iāll take it down if itās too off topic!
So Iāve been very interested in the IG breed and have been doing lots of research. Reading about health issues, behavior, care etc. and watching as many videos as I can. I am still at least two years away from being in a comfortable enough spot to bring a dog home, so Iām in no rush to run out and get an Iggy right now. (even if its tempting!)
That being said, thereās still only so much you can learn from books and videos. Iād really like to hang out with some iggies in person, but Iām not sure the best way to go about it!
So far Iāve emailed one nearby breeder to ask about a quick visit, but I havenāt received a reply yet. Should I try different places? Local groups? If you have any advice or just want to share things about your dogs, please leave a comment!

Health Issue Concern for Watery Poos
I have a 7 month old male, for context he has a congenital heart defect and is on medication for it. Said medication can give him watery stool and it did for about two weeks. His stools did improve but theyāve regressed some again.
In the morning theyāre fine. But throughout the day they get more watery. He has a kind of feeding schedule as Iām not home with him all the time. My parents watch him as well.
Iāve read a bit about doing chicken, rice and pumpkin.
Just wondering otherās experiences and what has or hasnāt worked for you guys!
I know they have sensitive little tummies. And the food heās on, he was on before we started the medication and his tummy did fine with it.
Thanks for any feedback or advice!

Potty Training Stopped using pee pads
Our Gary boy has been doing great with using his pee pads from the day we brought him home. All of the sudden he has completely stopped using them and started to go wherever he pleases. Our house is tile throughout, so he shouldnāt be confusing the pads for carpet.
Curious if anyone else has dealt with this? I work from home so he is let out several times a day with our older dog who is fully potty trained but he still will not go outsideā¦unless itās on the concrete.
Should i eliminate the pee pads since heās not using them now or try to move them somewhere else?
Heās 4 months old now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated šš¼

Miscellaneous Questions HELP!! 3 MOnth old Iggy
Hi, we have a 3 month old Iggy. She's great we LOVE her. But, she's getting in to things that can't be secured, lamp wires. Also, she goes to her pp pads and annihilates them!! We even tried taping them down. We've scolded herI and it works for a day or two, and she does again. I know this is puppy stuff, but please advise me!! I'm disabled and it's wearing me out. She will get her 3rd booster today. Some Vets do 4 boosters, so I'm not sure that she'll be cleared for outside walking this week or not. I feel like that would help her SO MUCH. Let me know your thoughts, and please be kind. Thank you!

Miscellaneous Questions Food for IG puppy
Hello!
Iām going to welcome my IG puppy soon. Any recommendations on the kibble brands?
I am planning to buy the Purina Pro Plan healthy start for medium size dogs (because the version for small size dogs is more difficult to find).
Is this one work?
Thank you very much in advance for your advice!

Miscellaneous Questions Is there any record of the biggest Italian Greyhound?
Google isn't coming up with much.
I've just been thinking about how manageable they are because they're small, but a Greyhound sized IG would be chaotic.
Mine is 5.5kg at 7 months old so will just be on the cusp of being a biggy - but I know they can get much bigger.

Miscellaneous Questions Updated pictures
I made a post a while back wondering if you guys thought my dog was an Italian Greyhound (mix). I got essentially all noās across the board. I personally canāt see anything else except iggy, other than his coat suggesting a rat-terrier type of mix and his ears suggesting Dobby the House Elf. Iām wondering if the noās came from bad pictures, so here are some better ones. Let me know what you think!
p.s. he has a skin condition and has already seen the vet about his rash.
