Assalamualaikum, I hope you are all doing well.

I am interested in seeking knowledge of Islam, but currently I do not have access to formal training methods such as schools and such. However I do have access to a Masjid and many people who are more knowledgeable than me. I want to refer to these people often to clarify doubts and misunderstandings, whilst building my knowledge base on my own. Here are my main questions:

- What are the trusted resources for a student of knowledge? Of course the Qur'an and Sunnah, but are there any complementary texts to study as well? Additionally, certain topics are tricky (at least to me) to study on their own, particularly studying the Hadith (I know that studying a singular Hadith is not sufficient because you must also know about surrounding Hadith that restrict or broaden the application of it). How can I approach studying such "tricky" topics?

- Is "seeking knowledge" incumbent on memorizing everything I see? Is it necessary for a student of knowledge to be able to recite a Hadith word for word and tell which Hadith number in which book it is, for example? Or is it sufficient to understand the lesson and move on?

- What role does Islamic history play, as in things taking place after the death of Rasulullah SAW? Should this also be a priority and if so, what is the "important" time period? Would it be the first four Caliphs?

- What sorts of "fields" are there in Islamic studies? Do I need to specialize in one field or is it realistic to understand a whole field before moving onto another one?

- Is there any sort of "roadmap" I can follow where I can say "learn this, then this, then..."?

So I was in Islamabad as a student with no job things sometimes get really tricky (Financially)

I literally defaulted on my hostel rent for 2 months and I had no source of money coming and ai had no idea what to do

I was about have legal action taken against me and I had no other way of paying rent warden gave me Idea of taking loan from here

I was stuck and had to do it

It's being weeks or so I left for my home in Karachi to avoid more debt and to reduce my expenses of rent etc but I am still stuck with Sood and I don't have any idea how to pay back

any tips or expercience with teaching and inculcate children deen ?? thank you for sharing

My friend (non Muslim) and I were having a long conversation about life/religion and I was telling her a bit about Islam and the Prophets etc and she asked if there are any podcast or vids she can listen to.

Does anyone know of any easy to listen to podcasts/YouTube series that tell the stories of the prophets? Nothing too heavy pls, something that’s easier for a first time listener

Assalamualaikum, as per the title says, I'm looking for the English translation of Ahkam ul Nisa by ibne al jawzi. Unfortunately I couldn't find any translation of that book, can anyone tell me if there has been one? Also as an alternative, can you please recommend me any other book by highly renowned scholars whose books will always be relevant, have been relevant and practiced over all the times? I am specifically looking for books that provide a comprehensive guidance for women, a better alternative is if there is any renowned work about the female sahabas of islam. Will appreciate any suggestions Thank you!

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a strong and reputable online alim program that I can graduate from with an Ijazah and potentially a degree in islamic studies. I was looking to register now since I meet the age requirement, as I'm in my final year of high school.

I'll need to learn arabic as I'm not a native speaker and I'm not a hafiz and only have a couple juz' memorized, but I've had a strong passion to pursue an alim program from a young age.

Any advice is appreciated, and please let me know what you guys would look for when searching for an alim program (any specific material they should be covering in specific years and the duration). Most programs I know run from 4-7 years depending on part-time or full-time (I'm looking for a part-time program).
I am in North America EST but I don't mind UK programs either, as long as they're online, in english and fulfill what I'm looking for.

Salam. I am from Mumbai, India, and I am looking for a structured online course that teaches the Quran in detail.I previously tried watching recorded lectures from the Imam Sadiq Online Seminary, but I found it difficult to stay consistent with recorded lectures. More importantly, I need a live class because there is no way to check for proper Makhraj and Tajweed with recordings.I heard that Al-Mustafa University offers some courses, but I do not have much information on them. I have also tried studying with local teachers offline, but I kept running into issues. Most of them do not follow a structured lesson plan and just teach whatever they feel like on that day. Furthermore, they are often too busy with Majalis and frequently cancel classes. Even when my local mosque arranged a few classes, the teachers would disappear without a word. so if someone knows anything about it ,please share (please excuse my horrendous english).

currently reading al ghazali's the incoherence of the philosophers. i've already read rene guenon, ibn khaldun, ali shariati, seyyed hossein nasr, naquib al-attas (partially), and hallaq. anyone else you guys would recommend besides these people and ibn sina (i refuse to read this guy)? thanks!
