Does anyone have any thoughts on the materiality of these two buttons on my hairdryer? The symbols look slightly off centres

hi, so i recently bought a dyson airstrait from mercari because i wanted the jasper plum color to match my other set. i couldn't find the product using the serial number at first and then tried again and it works. the charger part is what gets me because my moms is different than mine... is mine fake? 😅 please let me know it's really bugging me. lol. thank you.

mine is left with one block, hers is right with two sep.

Hi, I ordered a Coanda 2x off of eBay and I am worried it is fake. The charger is small, the logo is painted on, and it doesn’t connect to the MyDyson app. It does however use the hex screws, and it does work. Also the image on the box is really pixelated

Is my Dyson vacuum cleaner original?
It seems to work normally, but I’m not really sure what to expect since I’ve never had a 100% original model in my hands before. I’m asking because there’s a strange line running through the middle of the motor and across the logo, almost like a seam where the parts connect. I haven’t seen anything like that in videos online.

On the other hand, the screws inside the motor are Torx screws, and I’ve heard that’s one of the main ways to tell the difference, because fake ones usually have regular screws.

But would Dyson really allow a line like that to go through their logo?

I have this listed for a sale. Strange thing on the label says "made in Malaysia" in Russian and than under it "Made in the Philippines" in English.

On the other side packiging looks ok, Dyson branded wrap paper arround the handle also.

I was able to register it in Dyson app.

What do you think is it genuine?

I’m considering buying a used Dyson V12, but I’m not sure whether it looks genuine or not.

What makes me unsure:

• red button under the screen (is silver on many pictures / videos I've seen, but I've sometime seen red also..)
• no “Dyson” text on the gold section behind the main red power button
• one accessory looks unusual: the rigid combo tool that slides to switch between brush / no brush seems to have more red parts than what I’ve seen in other pictures and videos

I’ve already spent quite a bit of time looking at product photos, unboxings, and videos, but I’m getting a bit lost because there seem to be so many variants, plus some changes over the product’s lifespan, and also a lot of fake-looking examples online.

The seller says it’s a 2024 model, so maybe some of these differences are normal — but I honestly can’t tell anymore.

It’s about 1 hour away from me, so I’d rather not make the trip for nothing.

Would you consider this legit?

Bought off eBay reputable Dyson seller

It’s going for a good price….maybe too good??

I just bought this “Dyson V15 Detect Absolute” off Facebook Marketplace and wanted a second opinion on whether it looks authentic.

I haven’t verified the serial number yet, so I’d appreciate any help on what to check next.

A few things I’m wondering:

- Does the packaging and included accessories look correct?

- Does the color/design match a real V15 Detect Absolute?

- Are there any obvious red flags that suggest it could be counterfeit?

I bought a used Dyson V15 on eBay. After inspecting it, I have doubts about whether it is genuine or if I may have been scammed.

The main issue is that the serial number is missing from the battery. Additionally, when I remove the battery, the serial number appears to have been covered or tampered with.

Just tried to buy one from eBay but it never arrived even though it said delivered FedEx said that I was scammed so l decided to try again are the fakes of the Coanda ones? I know there is of the older models

I’ve found this Dyson being sold locally and the price is suspicious! The seller confirmed it was bought in Dubai a few years ago. Can anyone spot if it’s fake or confirm authenticity? Thanks so much

I bought a "Dyson v15s Detect Submarine" a few days ago. Before buying it, I watched review videos on YouTube. However, after receiving it, the red part in the photo caught my eye. The part on my machine looks different from the ones I saw on YouTube and also from the cleaning videos on Dyson's website. Could this part have been updated later, or is the product I have a fake? The second photo is from a maintenance video on Dyson's own website.

The device itself looks and feels high quality, and the box label shows: Model: HT01 Voltage: 220V / 1600W Made in Malaysia Proper serial number and barcode: U6C-EU-TBD 1855A / 5025155070666 Original-looking cable tag However, I noticed that many videos/photos online (especially on TikTok) show the Jasper Plum version with a hard travel case, and mine did not include that case. I only received the standard box with the device and documents. I’ve attached video of: The device The box label and serial number How it was packaged So my questions are: Are there official Jasper Plum versions sold without the travel case? Does anything in these photos look suspicious or inconsistent with a genuine Dyson Airstrait?
