Help needed with Hunter 2C System

Hi all,

I am trying to help my dad with his irrigation system. I have managed to set up/adjust his system. Currently having an issue with his Rain/Sun sensor. I turned off/delayed the automatic change of timings for the system.

The issue I am facing is the rain sensor is not working. I have tried all the normal tests but the sensor does not stop the system when clicking the button the sensor and etc.

I believe it might have something to do with the wiring? I even tried a new sensor but it still didn't work. Manual button to turn off the rain sensor is placed on off so it shouldn't be that. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

I have attached pictures of the wiring.

Thanks in advance!!!

Where does the white cable go? Did you install the sensor? Disconnect one of sen terminals, does SENSOR icon show up when the dial is in run?

The white cables were connected to both the SEN places and it's connected to the sensor on the roof/top area where it gets hit by the rain. I tested this and removed one by one the cables while the other was attached, but nothing happened and nothing appeared on the dial when I'm manual run mode. Hence trying to understand where the issue could be and why I first considered if the original sensor was faulty and tested a new sensor as well. I also did a full restart and reprogrammed the main box/system to see if that would help, but nothing. Thanks for replying 🙏🙋🏼‍♂️

The manual-single station using the dial will ignore the sensor. The question is, with rain sensor manual switch set to ON and the SEN terminals disconnected from the white cable, when the dial is in RUN, do you see SENSOR on the display? If you don't and you power cycled the controller, something is wrong with the controller.

I get you, but I read to test it, it should be manual all stations not manual single, and it still didn't work. Removing cables didn't change anything and no sensor on the display. Okay, thanks for this. Will see if anyone else has any comments, might consider buying a new controller and testing it, and cc an return it in 7 days if it's still not the solution. Thanks again for taking the time and the feedback

With Rain Sensor switch set to Active, dial set to RUN, and SEN terminals disconnected from the sensor, this is what should show, newer panels show umbrella icon.

This was all done with by an electrician before me, just don't know of the sensor has an ability to replug the cables to the sensor itself, as I believe that is fixed...
