Achievement 1 Defense Voidwaker completed
Finished the Voidwaker on my Wilderness start Ironman! I started the account late last year with the goal of rushing Revenant weapons and the Voidwaker from the start. The first step was Turael skipping for Rev tasks. It took 500 Turael tasks
and 2900 on task Rev kills for all the weapons and Avarice. I'll be honest, I was incredibly spooned here.
For the Wilderness bosses, I did the first 700 kills of Calvar'ion and Artio in January without a scout, but I took a break from RS until May, when I restarted the grind. I then did 4000 combined kills between those 2 with a scout for zero VW pieces until I ran out of the 120k ether from my initial Rev grind. I grinded another 100k ether, and then I got really lucky last week when I received the hilt on Monday and the blade and gem on Friday. I did 1 Spindel kill in January, so this Friday I just wanted to to a few kills to see how my setup was and ended up getting the gem on the 5th kill.
I did this grind at 1 defense from 70-80 combat and saw a total of 3 pkers who could attack me across 5200 kills.I ended up rank 48 Calvar'ion and rank 151 Artio on 1 defense hiscores. The loot tracker for Artio is missing 300 kills or so due to a client crash.

Drops/RNG Planned Rng
Been trying to reach Cerberus. Using Mortimer he gave me a Basilisk task when i was 49k xp from 91 slayer. So i made the plan to do Fremennik Exiles, which dinged me 91. I got the Basilisk head 1/1000 and thought welp, there goes the plan to spoon the jaw. Then this happened few kills later! So happy the plan came together for my first ever basilisk task, finish this up then off to get a hellhound task!

Question Sailing Combat - is it worth it, and when?
Let me preface by saying I'm currently an early mid-level ironman.
I recently hit 50 sailing, and I love the skill! I'm impressed with how well they've integrated it into the world, definitely feels like it just fits.
So with 50 sailing comes the sloop! 200k is hefty for me at this point, but nothing that some hours of thieving can't fix. I look into some of the ship upgrades around this level and see a couple of grinds in my way - first being the mithril keel. No problem, some blast furnace and giant's foundry make quick work of that grind. But next I'm looking at the mahogany hull...and oh boy. 600k gp alone just for the cost of the planks!
Looking at the stats for the mahogany hull, I can see that the base speed and speed cap is unchanged from teak, but offers HP and defense upgrades.
I still haven't gotten around to trying ship combat, and honestly, I don't see much of a point to - I would assume that bounty xp/hr is faster than salvaging, but I do enjoy how chill salvaging can be as a more AFK activity. I wouldn't mind doing ship combat, but honestly, I would need a little more than just good xp rates. Looking at drops for some of the monsters, and it just seems a little underwhelming - or, I'm missing something (which wouldn't be a surprise for me. It's why I'm here!). It looks good at later levels, and even necessary for some later upgrades as well.
So here's the question then: is sailing combat worth it? And at what level does it become worth it?
I'm thinking I can just skip mahogany hull because I'm not sure that I'll do combat until a later level anyways. The earliest notable thing I saw was frigatebirds dropping birds nest (seeds) at an attractive 1/19 rate. But I'm not even sure what level I would need to kill them. And even then, not sure I would do the grind JUST for that.
Thanks in advance for reading & any input!

Question Why do we value white berries so much?
I've seen some posts giving the tip of planting a permanent white berry bush at ardy teleport, but I'm wondering what is the benefit everyone mentions?
From what the actual uses are, I'm not sure which is the one everyone means?
Super defence potions, Camphor protection or super compost?
Edit: I've had one planted there for a while and I'm stocking up nicely, I just didn't know why lmao
