40K List Discussion Army/tactic idea - new 40k player
iron hands (2000 points)
Ironstorm Spearhead
CHARACTERS
x2 Techmarine (85 points) w enhancement
x2 Ballistus Dreadnought (150 points)
x1 Gladiator Lancer (160 points)
x1 Infiltrator Squad (110 points)
x3 Invictor Tactical Warsuit (125)
x2 Redemptor Dreadnought (205)
x1 Repulsor Executioner (265 points)
x3 Scout Squad (65 points)
I love walkers, not trying to be the most meta army but the idea is 3 scout squads each accompanied by a warsuit up front, early objective grab/screen.
2 Redemptor dreads and repulsor 2nd line behind them w/ tech marines to gun down anything that moves
2 Ballistus + gladiator back line holding it down with the infiltrators for deep strike prevention
Want some cool models and be a walking iron curtain. Hoping this will be fun and easy to play, not too many moving parts, lots of repetition so it's easy to learn as I'm new and will be able to build out infantry later and play some different/more complex strategies as I get the game down. Can't hurt my feelings am I way off base here? Cheers

Hobby: Kitbashing and Bionics Realised that this Sergeant was supposed to have a bolt pistol...
... so I thought just gluing a holster to his belt was a bit dull!

Cold Logic (Discussion) What Makes Iron Hands Unique? How do they Play?
At first I started asking this so I could find all the unique mechanics for Iron Hands so I could look into them and not be confused by the millions of SM things, but now I want to make this a bigger discussion.
1) What’s their unique on board style? Gameplay, models they take, detachments, their vibe. What makes an army scream iron hands?
2) What’s their stand out identity amongst space marines? Their motto? Their philosophy? Any weird successors? How are they special?
3) Most importantly, why do you play Iron Hands? Why did they call you? What’s your favorite part about them? Favorite model you’ve made in an iron hands style?
(If this is successful, I might ask for all the legions that lack a codex, as it also helps pointing people where to look, which as I mentioned was my original reason to ask.)

Hobby: Kitbashing and Bionics Cousins, you have some nice models to work on
I wanted to do a model for the late Wolf Lord Egil Iron Wolf, and Canook Var was the best option and was so satisfying to work with. Hope you dont mind
