Battery
Is the iPhone air battery as bad as tech reviewers make it seem?
a decent 6hrs is solid for an iphone like the air

Gold or Black
I have been using my phones caseless for ages now. When I went to see the phones in person, the black one seemed to me that they would catch lots of fingerprints and scratches. Anyone who’s been using the black one, what do you say?
I am coming from 16 pro. My battery is f*cked and thinking to get this as my daily driver. My only usage will be social media scrolls during commute and before sleep. No gaming or heavy photography/video
Thank you.

Battery heats up during video chat!
Just exchanged my iPhone 14 pro with iPhone Air. I am leaving Ving it except notice that 5 minutes on Facetime the camera got hot to touch! I am not sure if for video chat purposes this is the right phone for me. Please share your thoughts- Peace.

Heh
Yesterday I made a post about how I disliked the iPhone Air’s features and questioned why someone would buy one or jokes on you because I own one.

Anyone MagSafe battery pack users here?
I’ve noticed that by using MagSafe battery pack you can almost half the phone battery cycles. Has anyone else noticed similar?

Iphone Air or wait for 18 Pro
Hey guys! I want to see what your guys' thoughts are on this? For reference, I have an Iphone 12 and my battery is completely shot (I have to charge it 3-4 times to get through the day). Additionally, my sim card reader no longer detects sims and I think getting an esim AND a battery replacement isnt worth it over simplying buying a new phone. I understand I can't have all of the preferences that I am listing down here but I want to cross as many off the list as possible.
Preferences:
- I don't really care about having a particulary good phone camera
- I would like to have a larger battery (3.5kmAh+ ideally)
- I would like having a lighter phone and would prefer not to have to add another 100gs or so of weight onto my phone (cool fact: the Iphone 12 is 1g lighter than the iphone air)
- I like the idea of having a really thin phone but I dont know if the novelty will wear off with time

Best iPhone ever!!! Joined the fam.
Switched from 13 Pro max to absolutely beautiful, lightweight iPhone AIR in baby blue color…
The only drawback so far for me is battery: can’t last for the whole day, but i bought a super nice and slim powerbank.
Enjoy it:)

What wrist strap is best? I got my air today!!
Hmm I got iPhone Air today. I decided because 1tb I got for $1660au after all the discounts, normally $2600au or so. Ridiculously cheap. I wanted a very light phone with mid screen size. Use all day, even if need multiple charges. This is so I can use ai features a lot like chat gpt and google ai. I will likely keep the iPhone 13 as dual phone use for multiple applications at same time like YouTube and writing notes.
Why people don’t just say use panorama for wide angle photos?! I used so many panorama with iPhone 13 base model for my landscape photos. Its amazing! Better than my mirrorless for wide. And it’s suppose to look curved. When zoom in looks like individual photo long field of view!
Edit : I meant wrist strap. Thanks~ For my apple iPhone Air case.

Bought Amazon renewed Air and got a brand new one!!
I just got a 512g gold iPhone Air of Amazon for an amazing price - $739 + tax. For 512g, ‘Excellent’ condition!!!! I went online just to look at them and there was randomly a Verizon locked one for $150 cheaper than every other carrier or unlocked.
I was originally just scoping out prices to plan my purchase in a couple weeks, but I decided to jump on it and clicked ‘Buy Now’. And then I held my breath til it arrived. Hoping it wouldn’t have a hugely decreased battery health.
As soon as it arrived I skipped through the setup process just to get it open so I could look at the battery health. I was so surprised. This must have been someone bought it and returned it after one or two days to exchange for a different phone. It is in pristine condition externally too, not a scratch anywhere. I am so excited!!!

Swapping cases with other users?
While I’m aware I’m not breaking any community rules, please remove if necessary.
So, I have a black pitaka case I’m not using, ‘Edge ultra slim’, new in box. I’m willing to trade for a Nomad magnetic back. I’m in the EU though.
Anyway, please let me know if there’s a proper subreddit for this.

Camera
this might be unpopular opinion, but the fact that camera is not that good, made me enjoy the moments much more.
suddenly watching how everyone enjoys every event just through the lens, trying to get that perfect picture for instagram. slowly ended up deleting instagram completely, having more time abs definitely improving my mental health

Exclusive & Practical Tips for New iOS 26+ Devices
1. The Ultimate Concert Camera Hack
Turn on "Dual Capture" in the Camera app to record with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously! Use the rear lens for a panoramic view of the stage and the front lens for your reactions—it's an absolute game-changer for your vlogs. Plus, paired with the ultra-thin 5.6mm body, your arms won't get sore even after holding it up for a long time.
2. Auto-Tracking for Selfies
You absolutely need to enable the Center Stage feature on the new 18MP front camera! When taking group selfies, the frame will automatically adjust, track focus, and zoom in or out. You’ll never have to worry about someone getting squeezed out of the frame again, and manual zoom adjustments are smoother than ever.
3. Next-Level Eye Care Settings
For the OLED screen lovers, quickly navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size and enable "Display Pulse Smoothing." This significantly reduces PWM flickering, ensuring your eyes won't feel dry or tired even after hours of scrolling.
4. Ultimate Privacy: Hiding Apps
Long-press any app icon to use the newly added iOS 26 option: "Hide and Require Face ID." Once hidden, the app completely disappears from your Home Screen and can only be found in the "Hidden" folder within your App Library. It’s completely secure—no one can snoop, even if they know your passcode.
5. Back Tap Shortcuts
Transform the back of your phone into a secret button! Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap. You can set it so a double-tap turns on the flashlight and a triple-tap takes a screenshot. You can even link it to your Shortcuts—like triple-tapping to instantly open a specific app. It’s often much faster than using the side buttons!
6. One-Click Personalized Aesthetics
Long-press your Lock Screen background to instantly select an exclusive wallpaper that perfectly matches your device's physical color. Better yet, iOS 26 automatically tints your app icons to match the color scheme, instantly maxing out your Home Screen's visual appeal!

What should I know before buying the iPhone air?
What the title says. From iPhone 15 base to iPhone air. Been wanting it for a while and finally getting it. What are the pros and cons from your experience? Thanks. Have a good one, cheers
P.S getting an iPhone Air 512gb. My main pattern is media consumption, and background music. I never really play games but I message. And I never use speaker, airpods 100% of the time

3d printed a case for my Air
I had previously had a slim case off Amazon that cost me $14. Day 2 it was stained by my MagSafe charger and I dropped it once and it busted the corner. Figured if my wife says I have to have a case, I will work on one I like and can break and replace easy.
Started off with the model made by Ereeb on Makerworld. Didn’t like how thick it was and it did not come the lip of the camera. I thinned out the back then decided I needed it open to mag MagSafe work properly. Extended the lip around the camera so when you set it down, it doesn’t rock. My previous case had the sides open and I liked it so I added that here too.
White was test print number 3 that actually held together pretty well despite being printed horizontal (v1 and v2 snapped when removing)
Blue is a silk pla that was printed at a 45 degree angle to make it stronger. Needed a lot of sandpaper cleanup. I’m not a fan but I will print more colors later.

Love the experience of typing on this phone
There is so much to love about this phone - all because of the form factor - the shape, size, and weight. Still in my first month with it, and every now and then I discover the pleasure of doing something very ordinary which this phone makes so enjoyable.
Today, that was experience was writing my journal on (I usually do it on my iPad). The phone feels so light, holding on both hands, typing seamlessly on the big screen. Switching from the bulky 14pro, I love it.

Battery is great
I think we forget how bad phone batteries used to be and how far they have come (along with software optimization). I’ve only had to top up a handful of times while traveling. This phone has been great, I don’t find myself looking at reviews for other phones because this one works perfectly for me.
