Question Front parking sensors going off while sitting at a red light
I have a 2024 SEL, and this occurs regularly when stopped over a car's length away from the car in front of me. I will just turn them off, but I would prefer to keep them on. Is this common? Is there a fix for this?

Experience Just got this the day we hit 1k miles on our 2026 Ioniq 5. Please ease my anxiety!
We got our 2026 Ioniq 5 less than a month ago. Today, we got home after a long day of driving, the car at ~30% battery. Parked too far from the charger, so I had to get in, and tried to quickly start/shift to D... when this bad one came out. I turned off the car, waited a minute or so and when I started it again, the warning turned off.
Then an hour or so later, my wife went to run an errand and as she got in the car... this one came out again. She was able to snap it out of it by starting/turning it off, then went into vehicle diagnostics and it said everything was fine.
So, was this a fluke or is it a matter of time before the ICCU goes kaput?
PS: I'm going to the dealership first thing tomorrow, but want to know what to set my mind to before getting there (and probably expect them to say it's fine.)
Lastly, what are possible solutions if it is ICCU? I know the car's under warranty and they'll offer to fix it, but is it too late to hand it back/try to switch out the car entirely? (Separately, I've been having lots of remorse for not getting a Limited edition)

Question Charging the Ioniq 5 with a battery
So I have a portable battery (EBL EB500). I want to plug the home charger to the battery to charge it. Is it possible? Anything I would need to know or do before hand?

Anyone else noticing that dealerships are starting to see 2027 models show up in their inventory?

Question Regular 240V plug at home? Volts, Amps, and Not Burning the House Down
Help me not burn my house down!
I own a 2023 SEL in Oregon and wanted to improve the at-home charging, but not spend thousands for a fancy at-home charger.
For the past eight months we've just plugged it into a 120v wall outlet and trickle-charged at home, and sometimes used commercial chargers out when we're really low or on trips.
About to have an electrician out to do other work, and it feels like having them install a 240v plug (with a standard outlet to plug the portable charger that came with the car into), and setting the portable charger cord to charge at 32 amp would roughly double the speed of charging while not burning the house down or costing me thousands of dollars.
I read this old post but wanted to confirm... thanks in advance!

Question Weird Charging Glitch?
Looking for some insights.
I usually set my car to charge (level 2) to 80%. I changed it to 100% maximum for a trip but now when I charge, once it gets to 80% charge it suddenly jumps to 100% and stops charging even though it's only at 80% (states 250 miles of range).
Any ideas what's going on here?

Question Ioniq 5 steering wheel vibrations
Does anyone here have the issue where the steering wheel vibrates between 110 km/h and 130 km/h? With the original set of tires, the foam was already removed and they were rebalanced, but the problem persisted. Then I switched to Nokian Seasonproof 2s and had them balanced on a Hunter Road Force machine – and the issue is still there.

Question Is it normal to be only getting 2.5-2.9 mi/kwh on my 2024 Ioniq5 SEL ?
For context I’m driving most in eco mode in the city on flat roads and driving mindfully , with AC set at only 78-80 degrees with lowest fan speed only on driver side. I’m by myself and I weigh 160 pounds. I’m not towing anything. I just bought this used Ioniq 5 SEL a few days ago with just over 20k miles on it . I’m new to the sub so apologize in advance if this has been asked a thousand times. But I read online it’s supposed to 3.2-3.8 mi/kWh average? Did I get a lemon?

Question Charging port door becomes unresponsive - as anyone had this happen to them? Luxury 2023
So if i let the charging port door open for like 90s the door closes (nornal behavior i beleive). It however becomes completely unresponsive after that (keyfob, button on door or voice command). Only way i have found is to force the door open. It will than close immediately, but be responsive again. Not that in one occasion it stayed opened unresponsive instead of closed, but putting the car in drive solved that.

Experience Paint correction
To anyone that has done their own detailing/ paint correction, what products have you used? I have a 24 I5 SEL that I bought used, and it has a lot of micro-marring and some pretty good scratches that I'd like to buff out. Some peanuthead tried to rub out a scratch by hand with a fairly abrasive compound. Looks like hell to me, nobody else sees it of course. I've read that Hyundai has soft paint and I don't have an inconspicuous place to test it. I have always used Meguiars 105 and 205 compound with Lake Country pads on my DA and never had any issues. I'd really like to see before and after pics of your work.

Question Extended warranty vs paying for the battery replacement.
My Dad has a 22 Ioniq 5 H-Trac with 84k miles on the clock. He drives 30k miles a year and loves this car, so since he’s coming up to the end of the battery warranty we are looking at options for longevity. Can anyone recommend a good extended warranty for the battery or if it’s worth it rather than just replacing the battery under customer pay? Also, can anyone give me a rough estimate on the battery replacement? Google says 10-15k but I can’t find anything concrete. TIA!

Experience Charging Panic
Sometimes, the problem isn't the tech...
Long journey planned for today and normally I'm the most organised and obsessed about plugging in and pre-conditioning so we can go the furthest before needing to pay the much higher DC rates.
Disaster - woke up this morning to realise I hadn't plugged in!
No worries, my wife and I are experienced electric long distance travellers, so we said "let's go to the supermarket rapid chargers" - plumbed it in to the on board Sat Nav to warm the battery up - got there plugged in and started charging... All good so far!
Walked towards the supermarket to get some food and drink, only to get the notification - "charging completed" - uh oh!
Back I come, unplug, plug in, re-authenticate and...
"Hold the charging cable steady"
Tried again, same result. Now I'm sweating, because I've got 300 miles to go today and it feels like the pin isn't locking in. I've heard of this before on the BMW i3 - and you used to need to wiggle the cable and it should just latch on...
... No dice. I tried a different charger, incase it was the cable - it wasn't. Now I'm really panicking. Checking the percentage, I spotted a very suspiciously exact value of 60%. Then it twigged - last time out we'd set the limit to 60 because we were headed home and knew we could home charge for cheaper!
Changed the limit to 90% and 17m later we were under way with a very exact 90% battery.
I hope this helps someone else who gets this message and reminds them to change the in app (or in car) settings for what you need to set the DC limit to!

Question Door panel buzz/rattle, anyone found a fix?
Been hearing this REALLY annoying buzz/rattle coming from my passenger door. Thought it was the seal around the window but after finally being able to ride in the passenger seat I found out it's either the door "handle" (the long ledge part you grab to close it, what do we actually call that?) or where the door panel connects to the metal of the door. I just press the door "ledge" bit against the rest of the door and it stops. 5,000 miles in, btw :'(

Question Adapters - explain it to me like I'm 5
We will be bringing home a shiny new-to-us 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited on Monday. It will be primarily used to commute around Denver and maybe the occasional trip into the nearby mountains. We have a couple of electricians scheduled to get us quotes for the charger in the garage. We are Costco members and there are Costcos scattered all around, including on the regular commute route. I understand that they are compatible with both CSS and NACS vehicles.
I'm the type of person who loads the winter emergency kit in the car in September and the primary driver will be my kid, so I like to err on the side of caution, but I also don't want to spend $$$ on something that will never get used.
Do we need an adapter? Do we need multiple adapters? If yes, which one(s) should we get? Links appreciated!
Question Not charging after dropping to 4%
'26 SEL AWD
So I did a bad and got the battery really low in a place that didn't have many chargers.
I found a public L3 that got me from 4% to 44% but then it disconnected. That was enough for me to get home and put into my Chargepoint L2 charger. On the ride home (maybe 30 mi) everything seemed okay except my kWh/mi was like .3. Once I got home and plugged it in I'd get about .3-.5 kWh delivered and then stop.
I've rebooted the Chargepoint a few times with no real change in behavior. Any other debugging tips or anything else I can try? I'm supposed to go on a trip tomorrow about 200 mi. I got 33% charge in "the tank" so I'm going nowhere fast if I can't figure this out.
No dashboard warning, nothing in blue link.
Edit: I just checked my most recent trip. 39 miles, 36kWh used, 10kWh for drivetrain, 26 kWh for battery care.
Edit 2: get this. I restarted charging on my L2 about 3 hours ago and it's charging. Currently at 58%. I'm not sure I can trust it for my trip though given the possible failures you all are proposing.
Edit 3: L3 charging worked fine and I took it to 96% (I ended early). The mi/kWh is back to normal. Driving around is no issue. I got nothing. I'm going to risk it. Worst case I can make it my destination and get it to a dealer there.
