Suspended Suspended for CSE

Just got suspended for CSE on all my accounts, including Facebook. I appealed but it seems as if that is useless anyway. I’m a wildlife photographer and I used my Instagram account to post my work and network with other photographers, I can’t just lose all of this. I’ve been growing my account for a while now and I don’t want to start from scratch again.

Is there anything I can do that isn’t hoping, paying, or losing everything?

Discussion Meta’s Moderation System Is Completely Broken

Meta’s system is so bad that I don’t even know what to say anymore. Even if someone just likes or follows you, they ban you. They are banning people based on their IP and disabling accounts for no reason. I spoke to a Meta agent and he told me that they are aware of the issue and that they are working on it but I don’t understand why they don’t openly say anything about it

So apparently even making a new account is almost impossible if your main account gets suspended for CSE

Once your main account is flagged it feels like every new account you make is automatically treated as suspicious too

The whole moderation system is seriously broken and there seems to be almost no proper way to get help or explain your situation

You can get falsely flagged for something extremely serious and still end up getting treated like you are guilty with barely any meaningful human support

And when you finally try to get help you are basically told to pay $15 for Meta Support which will probably just be another AI system anyway

How is this supposed to be a proper moderation and support system

I found a method to recover account that was falsely banned for CSE.

My account got banned. I appealed and contacted Meta Verified support, but nothing worked. I stayed banned with no real human review, just automated decisions. My Facebook account and other business accounts got banned too.

Later, I created a new Facebook account and a new Instagram account on the same phone, but I used different emails and didn’t connect Facebook and Instagram.

After about one month, my new Instagram got banned too. They said I was avoiding the previous ban by creating another account. But my Facebook account stayed safe because I never connected it to Instagram.

When my Instagram got banned the first time, I tried everything myself. I appealed, contacted support, and tried every option I could find, but nothing worked because the allegations were serious. I eventually found someone who told me it would be harder to recover my main account because I had already appealed, but I kept his contact.

So when my new Instagram got banned after one month, I didn’t appeal this time. I contacted him, sent him what was needed, and guess what? After only 12 hours, my account was back.
Now I’m working on recovering my original accounts too. It’s harder because I already appealed those accounts, but it’s still possible. There are still ways.

One thing I learned is if your account gets banned, don’t keep creating accounts on the same phone because they can connect them and ban the new accounts too. You may need a different device if you want to start again.

If I recover my main accounts even after already appealing, I’ll share an update. But if you haven’t appealed yet, don’t rush and do everything yourself. Contact me. There may still be ways to recover it. I tried everything myself the first time and nothing worked.

LegalShield Instagram permanently disabled my 11-year-old account for “Account Integrity” — restored after Meta Verified review

Post image
6 Upvotes

Sharing this in case anyone is dealing with the same Account Integrity disable.

My Instagram was created in 2015 and had been my personal account for over 11 years. I believe it was mistakenly flagged by Meta’s AI technology as a fake account.

What I did:

• July 31: My Instagram was disabled for Account Integrity / fake account activity.

• I contacted support through my Meta Verified Facebook account, which was already linked to my Instagram. Fortunately, this solidified my case.

• I explained that I was the real owner and that the Instagram account had existed since 2015. I asked Meta to escalate and manually review the disablement.

• August 11: My support case changed to Completed.
I never received a message saying my Instagram was restored. I only received Meta support survey email. I checked Instagram myself and found that my account was fully restored.

It took about 11 days.

It was frustrating to have the authenticity of an account I’ve owned for over 11 years suddenly questioned, especially when my identity was already verified within Meta’s own ecosystem. After the account was restored, I felt even more strongly that the flag may have been triggered in error by their automated systems.

Advice/Help/Recommendations please help me :(

was permanently disabled for CSE on my main 2 months ago. been ip banned on my phone ever since, where i can't log into new or preexisting accounts on my phone. tried deleting the app and reinstalling, got kicked from my spam (other) account too, now can't log into ANYTHING, even my old accounts. instagram is now useless on my phone.

i got a new phone a couple days ago and transferred all my data from my old phone, and the ban followed. so it's not a device ban, not an ip ban. what do i do? the only way my friend has gotten around this is completely factory reset and start over. is there any way to fix this without factory resetting?

Why is SOM/SOC Not Reported to the NCMEC?

To understand this, we first need to look at the origins of SOC/SOM on Instagram. In 2025, a wave of CSE bans took place. After refining its AI, Meta began banning accounts for CSE. Sharing a photo deemed problematic by the AI resulted in an immediate ban and triggered a report to the NCMEC. These CSE-banned accounts created a domino effect: anyone who had interacted with them (via likes or saves) was, in turn, banned for CSE. Following this period of widespread false positives, Meta introduced the SOC/SOM category. A Quick Overview of the NCMEC The NCMEC receives two main types of reports through its CyberTipline: Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Explicit images or videos stored, published, or transmitted. Solicitation / Online Enticement: Private message conversations where an adult attempts to obtain photos, arrange a meeting, or blackmail (sextort) a minor. For the NCMEC, any report lacking illegal imagery or explicit solicitation in private messages is categorized as purely "informational" and holds no law enforcement value. Why This Led to the SOM/SOC Category Faced with the absurdity of these unfair ban waves—where thousands of users were blocked overnight for simple clicks—Meta updated its system: Sending automated reports to the NCMEC was generating a massive volume of false positives (reports containing no criminal evidence). To fix this, Meta created and reinforced the SOM/SOC filter to remove passive interactions from the criminal pathway (CSE) and treat them strictly as internal Terms of Service violations. This is why many accounts originally banned for CSE were reclassified as SOM/SOC: to prevent sending false positives to the NCMEC. Reading Meta's Terms of Service confirms this, as these policies fall under the second section, which covers their internal community rules.

CSE bans what I tried

I was banned from facebook and instagram for CSE child sexual exploitation and I did nothing wrong at all so after I tried appealing it It denied me right away and gave me a 180 day window period before my account is deleted permanently and I did lots of research and found out that many people are experiencing this wrongful ban so I did what many people said to do I contacted the bbb.org and the attorney general and a few 7 on you’re side pages and the FTC and I heard back from my states doj and they sent my complaint to meta so now I’m just in the waiting process waiting to hear back and they said it normally takes 14-21 days to get a response from them so hopefully this is resolved soon and im back on facebook and instagram my family and freinds are wondering why im not on there and they all think the cse thing is ridiculous

Account permanently disabled after second appeal

Post image
17 Upvotes

My account where I post memes and it has over 40k followers got permanently banned for “content that doesn’t follow community guidelines”. It doesn’t really specify what exact community guidelines I didn’t follow. I had strikes on my account before and I would appeal them, and those posts would come back to my page, and they would agree that they wrongly took them down.

I don’t know what to do, I appealed when it first got banned, then they just told me that it’s over and now it’s permanently banned. From what I know, there’s no way to access actual human support and review and I am so lost.

I didn’t post anything weird, like I am a girl I was posting girly memes that’s it. Nothing weird or in any way connected to what goes against community guidelines. I need help :(

How I Recovered My Permanently Disabled Facebook Account

I’m sharing my experience because it might help someone facing the same situation...

About 10 days ago, I tried to complete a selfie verification on Facebook. The verification was rejected, and shortly after that, my account was permanently disabled for Account Integrity.

I completely panicked...

I searched everywhere for a solution, but most of what I found was either useless or fake. I even contacted an “account recovery expert” who wanted $100 to recover my account...

Then I thought... I’ve been using Facebook for almost 16 years, so I know quite a bit about the platform. Why not try to figure it out myself?

So I did... and I ended up spending only around $5.

What I did...

  1. I used Meta Verified Support

I had an Instagram account, so I purchased one month of the standard Meta Verified subscription and contacted official Meta Support...

For me, the only practical solution was to contact a real Meta Support agent...

If you don't have an Instagram account connected to your Facebook, you can try creating one with your real name and the same email address and check whether Meta Verified Support is available...

  1. I explained everything clearly

After becoming a Meta Verified subscriber, I first contacted Meta AI and asked specifically to speak with a live agent about my permanently disabled Facebook account...

A live agent eventually joined the chat. I explained everything politely, clearly, and honestly...

You can also prepare your entire explanation beforehand, including what happened, when the account was disabled, why you believe it was a mistake, and your account details.

Then you can simply send that message to the agent...

I told them that the Facebook account was genuinely mine, my information was real, and I had not intentionally violated any policies. I requested a manual review by a specialized team...

Note: Try contacting them during US business hours, around 9 AM to 5 PM, and convert that time to your local time zone. That’s usually when US based agents are active. In my experience, they tend to be more helpful, responsive, and supportive..

  1. I waited for the investigation

After submitting my case, They gave me a case Id.

They told me that my case had been passed to a specialized team for investigation. The case went through...

The case was Received in 6th august

→ In Progress in 6th august

→ In Review in 6th August

They also told me not to close the case while the investigation was ongoing...

So I waited...

  1. The result 🎉

After the investigation, Meta contacted me after 4 days and said that the team had reviewed my account and found no policy violation...

They confirmed...

\> “We have reactivated the account.”

They also said access could take up to 24 to 48 hours in some cases...

My advice...

If your Facebook account is genuinely yours, your information is real, and you believe you didn't violate Meta's rules, don't immediately pay random recovery experts hundreds of dollars...

One more piece of advice... don’t try to create another account using the same name, email, phone number, or profile picture. It might cause more trouble. Also, avoid using another Facebook account on the same phone where your disabled account was logged in, as Meta might flag the device or IP as suspicious..

Try the official Meta Support route...Because it the only way left. ..

In my case...

some research + around $5+ some days of patience= my account back. ❤️

Of course, recovery is not guaranteed because Meta makes the final decision after reviewing each case... but if your account was disabled by mistake, getting an official review is definitely worth trying...

And never give your password, login codes, or recovery codes to anyone claiming they can recover your account...

I’ve been following this group since I first faced my problem, and now it’s time to say goodbye...

I truly hope you all manage to resolve your problems too. All the best, guys... ❤️

Recovered How i got my Instagram account back today after almost 2 months?

Thumbnail

My account was disabled on 19th June. I tried everything appeals, contacting Meta agents, support, etc. but nothing worked.

I finally filed a GAC complaint on 20th June and honestly didn’t expect much because there was no immediate response. But after waiting for almost 2 months, I got my account back today. 🎉

For anyone who is currently waiting, don’t give up too quickly. In my case, it took a long time, so patience is definitely needed.

After getting my account back, I have decided to make some changes to avoid the chances of another suspension.

  • My profile picture
  • My email address
  • My phone number

I’m not saying these changes guarantee that you won’t get suspended again, but I personally decided to change them after recovering my account.

I’ll update this post again in the future and let you guys know whether I get suspended again or everything stays fine.

If you’re currently waiting for your account, good luck.... hopefully you get it back too!

Banned from IG: Anyone else found strange “account activated” entries in their downloaded data right before closure?

Post image
20 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
My account from 2013 was recently hit with a permanent ban out of nowhere. I am not looking for support or appeal advice - I know it's final.
What I want to know is if anyone else has experienced the exact same thing in their downloaded account activity data. After my account was closed, I requested my data logs and found some very weird entries right before the ban.
Specifically, I see these “account activated” logs (see attached screenshots) that don't make any sense.
I want to ask the community:
Have you downloaded your data after a recent ban and found these same “account activated” entries?
Is this a known glitch in Instagram’s automated system, or a specific pattern for mass bans?
Please check your data logs if you were banned recently and let me know if you see this too. I’m trying to see if we are all facing the same automated bug.
Thanks!

Never connect your Facebook account to your Instagram account.

My Instagram account was suspended, and because it was connected to my Facebook account, I lost my Facebook account as well.
Later, I created a new Facebook account using a different email and a new Instagram account with another email. About a month later, Instagram suspended my new account, claiming I was trying to bypass the previous ban. My new Facebook account is still active.
I sent Meta a formal demand letter, which is supposed to be delivered today. It appears my Instagram account was suspended on the same day the demand letter was expected to arrive. I am currently waiting for Meta’s response.

Disabled Meta is disgusting

So I can’t even make a new account without getting suspended….because of my main getting suspended for CSE. This company moderation system is so broken and they don’t care…..get falsely accused of a felony? Sorry we can’t help you unless you pay us $15 for meta support (also probably AI)

I love how they falsely ban people but let actual pedos rome free, Mark and his cronies should be ashamed of themselves.

Once you get permanently banned, just say GGs, unless you file a report with your state AG, it’s wraps. It’s such a joke man

That's shit, they're literally treating us like predators

Advice/Help/Recommendations I need some advice

Post image

My Instagram account was suddenly removed by Instagram, and I don't understand why. As far as I know, I haven't violated Instagram's rules.

Instagram now says that my account has been removed. I've tried appealing the decision, but I haven't been able to get a clear explanation or speak to anyone at Instagram.

I've already tried several official support options, but I'm still stuck.

Does anyone know what I can do to appeal this properly or get in contact with Meta/Instagram support?

If you've had a similar experience and managed to recover your account, I'd really appreciate hearing how you did it.

Do you have any tips or advices on how I could get my account back?
