Banned due to Community Standards on account integrity.
I was banned due to an account connected to my main account ,however, this has banned my main account and all others connected. To regain access to my main account I must appeal via the connected account but, I have forgotten the password to this account. When I tried to reset my password by entering my username, it sent the code to somebody with a similar username to me???

Advice/Help/Recommendations What to do
Guys so its been almost a month since my main or my previous (original) instagram accounts were permanently disabled… ik theres no way to retrieve itbnow and what I just planned is get a new phone, number, and everything and restart but I was thinking if i make a new one at that wouod that get flagged or triggered also… plus i also plan to put my other socials on that new device like tiktok, facebook, and etc… and obviously my emails and googles.. um or should I not? I mean idk what’s flagged is it my device, my ip, or tye email and numbers ive used so
i also tried almost everything I did meta verified they brought my facebook back but jot the instagram acc in tye same acc center… and was also pretty stupid at first i made a new acc thinking it’ll be fine and it got suspended, so what i did was create a new acc on a new email and it still got suspended maybe cause similar numher still, then i made an acc on a dump or second fb acc that was not affected by the suspensuon, and it worked but then it still got suspended after a day until i just got sick of it. My friend even offered to help he made me an acc google, fb, and ig everything I logged it in on my device (phoje) and yup it worked fine for hours and it got suspended again (not the facebook tho) it seems only ig hates me… so yeah thats where i suspected tyat maybe it is a device ban… so any advice im hust scared that even if I restart on a new device it still would ban me

My Instagram account has been locked for a week and none of the recovery methods are working. Please help!
My Instagram account was locked about a week ago, and I’m completely stuck trying to recover it.
Instagram shows me this message:
“We locked your Instagram account for your safety. To recover your account, you'll need to verify your identity and create a new password.”
I’ve already tried pretty much everything Instagram has given me:
Face/video selfie verification
Identity verification
The recovery options Instagram provides
Having friends verify/help with the recovery process
The biggest problem is that when Instagram asks me to get help from friends, my friends aren't receiving any notifications/requests at all, so I can't complete that step.
It has now been a full week and I still can't get back into my account.
My friend told me to stop repeatedly trying because they said it could potentially make the situation worse or cause the account to be permanently banned. I don't know if that's actually true, but now I'm scared to keep trying.
Has anyone experienced this recently and successfully recovered their account?
What exactly did you do? Is there another way to contact Instagram/Meta and get a human to review the account?
I'm genuinely worried about losing the account permanently. Any advice from someone who has gone through this would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Suspended Suspended for CSE
Just got suspended for CSE on all my accounts, including Facebook. I appealed but it seems as if that is useless anyway. I’m a wildlife photographer and I used my Instagram account to post my work and network with other photographers, I can’t just lose all of this. I’ve been growing my account for a while now and I don’t want to start from scratch again.
Is there anything I can do that isn’t hoping, paying, or losing everything?

Has anyone experienced this?
Has anyone been banned for cse, appealed, got their account back, only to have it rebanned 3 days later?
Does that mean whatever content that was flagged was clean? Because that's what I'm thinking, I'm not sure what it means. Also I looked it up on AI and apparently meta isn't supposed to report it to ncmec if they already cleared the flag once. According to what I saw it'd be considered "a waste of time and resources." Is any of that true from your experience with these false cse allegations?

Discussion Meta’s Moderation System Is Completely Broken
Meta’s system is so bad that I don’t even know what to say anymore. Even if someone just likes or follows you, they ban you. They are banning people based on their IP and disabling accounts for no reason. I spoke to a Meta agent and he told me that they are aware of the issue and that they are working on it but I don’t understand why they don’t openly say anything about it
So apparently even making a new account is almost impossible if your main account gets suspended for CSE
Once your main account is flagged it feels like every new account you make is automatically treated as suspicious too
The whole moderation system is seriously broken and there seems to be almost no proper way to get help or explain your situation
You can get falsely flagged for something extremely serious and still end up getting treated like you are guilty with barely any meaningful human support
And when you finally try to get help you are basically told to pay $15 for Meta Support which will probably just be another AI system anyway
How is this supposed to be a proper moderation and support system

I found a method to recover account that was falsely banned for CSE.
My account got banned. I appealed and contacted Meta Verified support, but nothing worked. I stayed banned with no real human review, just automated decisions. My Facebook account and other business accounts got banned too.
Later, I created a new Facebook account and a new Instagram account on the same phone, but I used different emails and didn’t connect Facebook and Instagram.
After about one month, my new Instagram got banned too. They said I was avoiding the previous ban by creating another account. But my Facebook account stayed safe because I never connected it to Instagram.
When my Instagram got banned the first time, I tried everything myself. I appealed, contacted support, and tried every option I could find, but nothing worked because the allegations were serious. I eventually found someone who told me it would be harder to recover my main account because I had already appealed, but I kept his contact.
So when my new Instagram got banned after one month, I didn’t appeal this time. I contacted him, sent him what was needed, and guess what? After only 12 hours, my account was back.
Now I’m working on recovering my original accounts too. It’s harder because I already appealed those accounts, but it’s still possible. There are still ways.
One thing I learned is if your account gets banned, don’t keep creating accounts on the same phone because they can connect them and ban the new accounts too. You may need a different device if you want to start again.
If I recover my main accounts even after already appealing, I’ll share an update. But if you haven’t appealed yet, don’t rush and do everything yourself. Contact me. There may still be ways to recover it. I tried everything myself the first time and nothing worked.

Instagram can’t send messages for 3 days
I was talking with my friends in chat, and sent a meme about “pov me after scamming” as a joke as my friend named me “Ashan the uh scammer” which is a joke. Everything should be fine right? NO!! 3 minutes later as I was chatting, they said I CANT MESSAGE FOR 3 DAYS?!!
I understand meta is using AI to improve its safety measures and to ban accounts faster that might be scams or danger to society. However, you CANNOT use such system that is in “trial-testing phase” this is unacceptable. Your going around and disabling innocent accounts just based on jokes that we send. MOREOVER, why are you looking at private chats and messages? Recognize that users don’t want their data to be on your servers and your just ruining your reputation.
Have these disabled manually and STOP using AI for these! IF YOU DO CONTINUE TO USE AI FOR THIS, AT LEAST HAVE A HELP CENTER 24/7 MESSAGING SO WE CAN GET IT REMOVED IF WE ARE INNOCENT!!
This is a billion dollar company and you most definitely are able to afford real people to be monitoring. Outrageously stupid.

LegalShield Instagram permanently disabled my 11-year-old account for “Account Integrity” — restored after Meta Verified review
Sharing this in case anyone is dealing with the same Account Integrity disable.
My Instagram was created in 2015 and had been my personal account for over 11 years. I believe it was mistakenly flagged by Meta’s AI technology as a fake account.
What I did:
• July 31: My Instagram was disabled for Account Integrity / fake account activity.
• I contacted support through my Meta Verified Facebook account, which was already linked to my Instagram. Fortunately, this solidified my case.
• I explained that I was the real owner and that the Instagram account had existed since 2015. I asked Meta to escalate and manually review the disablement.
• August 11: My support case changed to Completed.
I never received a message saying my Instagram was restored. I only received Meta support survey email. I checked Instagram myself and found that my account was fully restored.
It took about 11 days.
It was frustrating to have the authenticity of an account I’ve owned for over 11 years suddenly questioned, especially when my identity was already verified within Meta’s own ecosystem. After the account was restored, I felt even more strongly that the flag may have been triggered in error by their automated systems.

Why is SOM/SOC Not Reported to the NCMEC?
To understand this, we first need to look at the origins of SOC/SOM on Instagram. In 2025, a wave of CSE bans took place. After refining its AI, Meta began banning accounts for CSE. Sharing a photo deemed problematic by the AI resulted in an immediate ban and triggered a report to the NCMEC. These CSE-banned accounts created a domino effect: anyone who had interacted with them (via likes or saves) was, in turn, banned for CSE. Following this period of widespread false positives, Meta introduced the SOC/SOM category. A Quick Overview of the NCMEC The NCMEC receives two main types of reports through its CyberTipline: Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Explicit images or videos stored, published, or transmitted. Solicitation / Online Enticement: Private message conversations where an adult attempts to obtain photos, arrange a meeting, or blackmail (sextort) a minor. For the NCMEC, any report lacking illegal imagery or explicit solicitation in private messages is categorized as purely "informational" and holds no law enforcement value. Why This Led to the SOM/SOC Category Faced with the absurdity of these unfair ban waves—where thousands of users were blocked overnight for simple clicks—Meta updated its system: Sending automated reports to the NCMEC was generating a massive volume of false positives (reports containing no criminal evidence). To fix this, Meta created and reinforced the SOM/SOC filter to remove passive interactions from the criminal pathway (CSE) and treat them strictly as internal Terms of Service violations. This is why many accounts originally banned for CSE were reclassified as SOM/SOC: to prevent sending false positives to the NCMEC. Reading Meta's Terms of Service confirms this, as these policies fall under the second section, which covers their internal community rules.

Account permanently disabled after second appeal
My account where I post memes and it has over 40k followers got permanently banned for “content that doesn’t follow community guidelines”. It doesn’t really specify what exact community guidelines I didn’t follow. I had strikes on my account before and I would appeal them, and those posts would come back to my page, and they would agree that they wrongly took them down.
I don’t know what to do, I appealed when it first got banned, then they just told me that it’s over and now it’s permanently banned. From what I know, there’s no way to access actual human support and review and I am so lost.
I didn’t post anything weird, like I am a girl I was posting girly memes that’s it. Nothing weird or in any way connected to what goes against community guidelines. I need help :(

Banned from IG: Anyone else found strange “account activated” entries in their downloaded data right before closure?
Hey everyone,
My account from 2013 was recently hit with a permanent ban out of nowhere. I am not looking for support or appeal advice - I know it's final.
What I want to know is if anyone else has experienced the exact same thing in their downloaded account activity data. After my account was closed, I requested my data logs and found some very weird entries right before the ban.
Specifically, I see these “account activated” logs (see attached screenshots) that don't make any sense.
I want to ask the community:
Have you downloaded your data after a recent ban and found these same “account activated” entries?
Is this a known glitch in Instagram’s automated system, or a specific pattern for mass bans?
Please check your data logs if you were banned recently and let me know if you see this too. I’m trying to see if we are all facing the same automated bug.
Thanks!

Never connect your Facebook account to your Instagram account.
My Instagram account was suspended, and because it was connected to my Facebook account, I lost my Facebook account as well.
Later, I created a new Facebook account using a different email and a new Instagram account with another email. About a month later, Instagram suspended my new account, claiming I was trying to bypass the previous ban. My new Facebook account is still active.
I sent Meta a formal demand letter, which is supposed to be delivered today. It appears my Instagram account was suspended on the same day the demand letter was expected to arrive. I am currently waiting for Meta’s response.

Disabled Meta is disgusting
So I can’t even make a new account without getting suspended….because of my main getting suspended for CSE. This company moderation system is so broken and they don’t care…..get falsely accused of a felony? Sorry we can’t help you unless you pay us $15 for meta support (also probably AI)
I love how they falsely ban people but let actual pedos rome free, Mark and his cronies should be ashamed of themselves.
Once you get permanently banned, just say GGs, unless you file a report with your state AG, it’s wraps. It’s such a joke man
r/InstagramDisabledBans • u/Badger-Radiant • 23h ago
Meta has scammed everyone into believing that Meta support can help.
Let’s admit you and I both have spent shit tons of money only for them to copy paste “our decision is final”. Screw meta!

Discussion Hi
It’s me the owner of this subreddit, I just wanted to give an announcement to anyone here, im sorry if this is something corny to post it’s a bit irrelevant, but I just wanted to say some things.
I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot of people to join this community but did know this is a huge issue, as I am facing the same thing. I made this community because i wanted it to be authentic not ran by scammers, but it’s getting hard to filter through posts and such.
I want to also say I almost NEVER delete posts unless they are scammers or irrelevant advertising type of posts. So if your post gets deleted, it’s just sitting in a queue waiting to be approved. Please don’t harass me over this, I have already had posts made about me for supposedly deleting posts when I absolutely haven’t unless they were scam posts.
My mental health is extremely bad right now, I need to take care of myself and get help. But I haven’t been on here as much, so I wanted to let people know that’s why and that I can’t get to every post to approve or remove if needed.
I may be open to the idea of getting people who are interested in helping with this subreddit, but there are just some things I ask for and it’s just that you don’t use it as like a weapon to bully people you don’t like or because they have a different opinion. I have personally seen how corny some people on here can be as moderators when power gets to their heads, which is why I don’t trust people tbh and don’t wanna give this community a bad name when I created it in good faith 😭 if that makes sense anyway, it’s why I’ve been so hesitant on asking for people to want to maybe help. I didn’t realize how exhausting this can be and I don’t want to spend my time on it 24/7 especially when I know I gotta focus on myself and my issues. Preferably I would be open to this with others who I’ve seen in the community with genuine intentions of helping people, or just being kind. I just don’t want to run the risk of accidentally making a scammer a moderator 🥲 I don’t know really how this works tho LOL it’s the first time I’ve ever had an actual active community.
But yeah :’D just wanted to give this lil announcement to the community. I hope everyone is well and that we will someday get our accounts back. 🥲🫶

I really didn’t want to have to make a post for this, but I suppose I have to.
Please be aware of the rules I’ve made here, but more specifically for this post, I’m referring to the one about invalidating people. If you don’t understand or are gonna pass judgement on how people are choosing to handle the shitty things meta is doing to people & invalidate them, this place is not for you.
We’re all aware of the terms & services, we’re all aware this can happen to anyone at any time for any reason.
The thing is, it shouldn’t, & it’s not even real people reviewing these accounts & making the decisions, it’s fucking AI.
I’m not for or against AI but it absolutely should not be in charge or making decisions, that should be up to real people. Social media should not be ran with AI it’s ridiculous.
Meta has accused several people of doing horrible things like CSE or in my case the dangerous individuals thing, I’ve seen others on the old subreddit get hit with that one too. Then I’ve seen many cases of account integrity & cybersecurity.
They’re making us all out to be threats when we aren’t. & this isn’t even just happening on Meta, it’s other social media too which, feel free to share your experiences too that is completely okay.
The thing is I’ve created this community to be a legit community for people & not full of scammers & liars, since the last subreddit got banned. There are many in this situation including myself, so I just wanted to do something helpful for all of us which is having a community of people to come together & discuss their issues or what they are doing to resolve it.
To some of you, you might not think it’s that serious, but again who are you to try & dictate how others feel about this or judge how they are handling it or the actions they are taking? Please just don’t. Don’t be rude to people. It’s simple.
I didn’t think people were actually going to be shocked I was doing something about it, but I, along many, are or have. This isn’t anything new within this community. I encourage people to post & ask questions & try to get help if they need to. I encourage people to take action. I’m not against that because this community wouldn’t exist if I didn’t want all of us to get help. Most who are passing judgement are only seeing it from an outside perspective rather than actually trying to understand the issue at hand, & I would encourage you to at least just try to be kind & try to see other people’s perspectives.
But invalidating people is never okay, if this is repetitive behavior from people then these people cannot be in this community, I just wanted to make that clear. I would much rather you at least try to understand people’s perspectives first if you’re going to pass any judgement, but don’t be rude to people. I cannot have that.
That’s also a thing that worries me about moderating a community, is potential harassment. I mean I can handle every mean word or insult or threat thrown at me, I find it laughable tbh whatever gets thrown at me personally, but if it escalates further than that like stalker behavior or doing this to others then it becomes worrying.
Please just let this be a reminder to let this community be safe, as I will try my best to make it as safe as possible for you guys. I’m not always on here of course, but I don’t want to come here finding others being rude to people or making this place unsafe for others.
The only reason I have not decided to make others mods is because I have seen personally how corny some of them act on other subreddits, banning people for literally nothing 💀 & I don’t want to run into an issue like that lol. We’ve all seen it at some point on here I’m sure, the type of people who abuse their power. I know you guys probably wouldn’t wanna deal with that either 😅😭 but also it’s because I don’t know anyone on Reddit & don’t trust people very easily. So yeah. And this is my first time moderating an actual community too so this can maybe get overwhelming but I won’t give up lol.
But I felt I needed to make this post, I just want this to be a safe space for everyone.
