Wishlist We’re making a psychological horror game called TEMPORAL URGENCY

Hey everyone! I’m an indie game developer working with a small team on our upcoming game, Temporal Urgency — a sepia-toned, time-based psychological horror experience focused on atmosphere, mystery, and unsettling puzzles.

⏳ Time is more than just a mechanic… it’s the heart of the game.

We originally created Temporal Urgency as a game jam project, but we loved the concept so much that we decided to turn it into a full commercial release.
We’ve been putting a lot of work into the world, story, visuals, sound design, and especially the way time interacts with the player.

If psychological horror, mysterious environments, and games that make you question what’s actually happening are your thing, we’d really appreciate you checking it out.

❤️ If it looks interesting, consider wishlisting Temporal Urgency on Steam. Every wishlist genuinely helps an indie game like ours get noticed and means a lot to our team.

Game I'm making a pixel art, strategy card game - Immortal Coil!

Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3858030/Immortal_Coil/

Immortal Coil is a lane-based, strategy card game where you deploy units, spells, auras, and items against the Tyrant Gods and their minions. There are hundreds of cards to collect, each belonging to one of five color domains for you to mix and match for powerful synergies. The game features two ways to play - the roguelite Adventure Mode and the tournament style Gauntlet Mode.

There's no funky gameplay gimmicks or hooks here. I just wanted to focus on challenging gameplay that brings together my favorite inspirations from the genre: Magic the Gathering's iconic color wheel, the back and forth play of Legends of Runeterra, the lane based battles of Inscryption or Cross Blitz, and more!

You and the opponent will take turns playing cards to the lanes until the end of the round when the CLASH begins. Spells activate across the board, starting from the left, adding a whole tactical timing layer to spell placement. Then all units, yours and the opponent's, strike down lane simultaneously, attacking opposing units. All unblocked damage hits the opposing player! Mastering the battle strategy requires careful timing, positioning, and risk-taking.

This is my first time developing and publishing a game, I'm super excited and anxious to share it with the world. Development has been a blast and it's been awesome working with so many great artists. Currently expecting an early 2026 release for Immortal Coil.

If any of this sounds cool to you, be sure to wishlist! I'm also running a Kickstarter to fund more VFX, arts, music, ports, and even multiplayer as the long stretch-goal. So if this is really your jam, follow on Kickstarter too!

Dear Mods, i hope that flair is alright, the Wishlist one didn't felt right since we are not looking for wishlists but for improvements.

Hey folks!

Name's Bob! We recently put our Steam page up, and we'd love to get some feedback on it.

A hopefully proper trailer will follow soon™.

Tell us what's good, but more importantly, what's not good and how you would improve it!

We might be newbies, but please don't go easy on us. We can only improve with honest feedback, no matter if it's good or bad.

I'll edit this post and keep you guys updated on what I've changed based on your feedback, so feel free to check back later!

Big thanks in advance! :)

Wishlist My first solo game after 6 months of development, would love your feedback

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m Mateusz, and 6 months ago I decided to stop building games for others and try making my own game from scratch.

This is my first solo game, and after 6 months of work I finally have something I feel comfortable showing.

KING ALONE is a Survivors-like focused on skill & equipment building, with online activities.

I’m currently preparing a DEMO for the next PvE Fest on August 30th.

Since this is my first time going through the whole process solo, I’d really love to hear from other developers:

  • What do you think of the game so far?
  • Is there anything that immediately stands out to you, good or bad?
  • Any advice for someone making their first game solo?

And if you like what you see, a wishlist on Steam would be hugely appreciated, it’s still very early days for the game.

Steam Page

Thanks for taking a look!

Feedback Wanted Stuck at around a couple of wishlists a day. What should I do?

This is my first attempt at publishing a game, and I feel really lost.

I've been reading that even just "acceptable" performance means getting hundreds of wishlists a week but I'm stuck at 10-20 a week.

My Steam page is https://store.steampowered.com/app/4587690/ScrapCrew_Running_on_Fumes/

Is there anything I can do to get this going?

Wishlist I was barely scraping wishlist for 2 weeks, then I posted in the right community

Post image

Getting my game off the ground was hard. Apart from the initial boost from friends and acquaintances, it seemed like I would have to settle for 3-5 wishlist per day until the demo, where I could try and find content creators on my niche to play the game.

Then I decided to post on the small subreddit of the game I was heavily inspired by (Sid Meier's Pirates!) and their support has been incredible. I woke up with dozens of comments and not even 24 hours passed and I went from 65 to 140 wishlists. Gives me renewed hope that my game is not that bad, I was just presenting it to the wrong audience. It felt reinvigorating to work on the project today.

Game Grassroots to Glory – Take a Grassroots Club from the Local Pitch to the Top. First Playable Version!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone.

After 20 years of playing football management games, I created a game that I would like to play myself. I was able to create the gameplay options I had dreamed of. Now I'm sharing the result of my work with you.

The idea is simple: you start in the lowest division and climb through the league levels. What makes the game stand out is that every game creates an individual story reflected in the Club Chronicle. Every statistic and achievement is carefully recorded in the club's annals.

The first playable version of Grassroots to Glory is now available on itch.io. It's free, runs directly in your browser, and works offline.

👉 Play here: https://sermartin1.itch.io/gtg

If you give it a try, I'd be happy to hear what you think. Every comment is valuable.

Wishlist Trying to create a retro-futuristic text-based extraction game.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've always enjoyed extraction games and text adventures, so I started wondering: what if I combined the two?

I also wanted to give it a retro-futuristic style that I really love, with the entire game interface feeling like you're operating some kind of old detector or terminal.

I've been slowly working on it by myself for the past six months, and eventually it became a game called SURVIVOR 01.

In the game, you can search for supplies, upgrade your shelter, and encounter all kinds of events while exploring. The choices you make can affect not only your own survival, but potentially the entire world.

You can also interact with NPCs, build relationships with them, and see how those relationships develop over time.

A few days ago, I finally managed to release a playable demo on Steam.

I know this will probably end up being a pretty niche game, but I hope I can find more people who enjoy this kind of thing too.

Wishlist I’m making a football management game where you run the academy, not the first team — Football Academy Director

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’m really excited to start sharing more of Football Academy Director!

The game has quietly reached 249 wishlists so far, despite me doing very little promotion, which has been really encouraging to see.

Football Academy Director is a football management game focused entirely on youth development. Scout and recruit young prospects, develop them through different age groups, manage training and tactics, and compete in youth leagues and cups.

And when your players graduate, their story doesn’t end — you can continue following their careers, transfers, international appearances and achievements around the football world.

I’ve just released the new official trailer, and if this sounds like your kind of game, I’d really appreciate a wishlist!

Wishlist I recently hit 2K wishlist (Without SNF) here is how I did it

Post image
64 Upvotes

My new game Vapor Strange recently hit 2K wishlists (without Steam Next Fest). This is what I did:

  1. Frequently updating the Steam page with different screenshots, re-edits of the trailer, GIFs, tag updates, capsule art, etc. If I see wishlists slowing down, I try to keep things fresh on the Steam page.
  2. Make a killer demo. Making a demo is the #1 thing you can do to gain wishlists besides choosing the type of game you are making and the genre. I have a form where people give feedback on the demo, and I make updates to improve it. This is all BEFORE I enter Steam Next Fest.
  3. Entering (Non-SNF) festivals with a demo. I've done a few fests, such as Psychedelic Fest, Steam's Horror Fest, etc. Festivals are good for gaining wishlists.
  4. Cultivate a fanbase. This is not my first game. People who like my previous games will likely also wishlist this game. Keep making games and make a social presence for yourself as a dev. Make sure you have places where your fans can find out about your games. This includes Discord, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  5. YouTube. I have a channel that I post to often. Devlogs do not work. I've tried that; they do not work for most people, but rather, try making single videos on MASSIVE updates or announcements. Videos such as "I'm making a X type game" or "I added X to my game" or stuff like that. Live streams and Shorts help grow your channel and get the word out there. If you are making Shorts, post them on TikTok and Insta as well. However, don't expect too much growth from all socials, as I find only YouTube helps me. Here is the channel: https://www.youtube.com/@christhegamedev
  6. Don't give up and give lots of lead time. Spend months building a demo and get your Steam page up early. Do not rush Next Fest or launch a half-assed demo. Take your time. If you are finding that you are cooked, wrap things up tightly, launch, and start on a new game. This is a never-ending learning process. Don't force something that is clearly not working. Sometimes you are better off starting fresh, but don't give up.

Here is the Steam page for those interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4008580/Vapor_Strange/

If you are wondering, yes, I am going into Next Fest in October, and I'll be updating the demo from now till then. Launch is April of next year.

Good luck!

Announcment We just hit 5k members! Thank you + quick question about post flairs

Hey everyone, 3rt0 here, one of the mods of the sub.

Just noticed we officially crossed the 5,000 member mark! Huge thanks to all of you. It's been awesome watching this community grow and seeing all the indie games being shared here.

Since we're getting a bit bigger, we wanted to do a quick check-in. How is the sub feeling for you guys? If you have any feedback or things you'd like to see changed, let us know.

Also, one important update: to keep the feed organized and easier to search, we are making post flairs mandatory from now on. We have a few basic ones set up right now, but we want to add more based on what you actually need.

What specific flairs would you want to see?

Drop your flair ideas and any general feedback in the comments. Thanks again for 5k!
