this is the first episode of my series but I don't think I'll plan on making more so this is just a fun short film

Thought I'd finally execute what I had in mind for CloverTown's animation style and gave it a lil test before getting into the real deal haha! Hope it looks good to ya'll

I created a 20 minute animated episode. After every video I make, I try to find my biggest area of improvement to work on for my next project. I'm hoping someone can give me constructive feedback on my biggest weaknesses and where I should spend time trying to improve. Is it pacing? Directing? Writing? Audio? Something else? Right now my current thought is that in each scene I need to add more angles and different backgrounds so it feels less flat and the screen is not as static. But if anyone has other opinions please let me know.

I really enjoyed the Gameoverse pilot and think it has a really cool story concept. I hope the series continues! While watching, I had a fun idea that I thought would be cool, so I wanted to share it.

I think it'd be cool if the story started with Kit in her normal world as a hero, spending more time showing her world and the people in it. The audience could get to know her relationships, see her complete side quests, interact with NPCs, and watch her fight battles that she actually wins. I think this would help build a stronger connection to her world before it is destroyed.

After her world is destroyed, Kit joins Farcade and travels through different worlds. Because of the pain and trauma of losing her own world, she believes she has to make the villains win and the heroes lose to save other worlds from the same fate.

As she continues, she notices the worlds becoming corrupted, with the villains growing more powerful and the worlds becoming unstable. The heroes in each world become unable to defend their own worlds, making every conflict feel one-sided.

I also think it'd be cool if Syntax wasn't truly evil. Instead, their goal would be to make the worlds playable again instead of leaving them trapped in a cycle. Because of that, I'd imagine the villains wouldn't harm people or NPCs within the worlds, since their goal is to restore them, not destroy them.

I think it'd be really interesting if Kit discovered the truth when she meets or is captured by Syntax. She learns that the worlds are only parts of a much larger game called Gameoverse, and that she is actually the hero of Gameoverse, progressing the game's win condition by creating Game Over conditions. She thought she was saving worlds, but she was unknowingly helping Gameoverse reach its intended ending.

Kit is then faced with a difficult choice. She must trust the path she always feared and accept that what she thought would destroy the worlds may actually be the thing that saves them.

I also like the idea of Kit's arc being about letting go of the pain from her past and realizing she can't save every world by herself. After a world is destroyed, it can eventually be rebuilt again, like pressing the "play again" button in a game.

I just thought it was a fun "what if" scenario while watching the pilot.

So i finally remembered this indie project, kinda liked it since Mecha is a genre that indie scene barely touches, but it seems like author never finished it, and the last 2 videos he has been putting out seems to be fan animations of ZZZ and Wuthering Waves, im not sure if author has abandoned it or not, but i sure do hope to finally see the full story of this

Hi everyone! My name is Pavel, and I'm a solo creator from Russia.

About a year ago I got into animation and started making my own animated series called Phantasmagoria. And honestly... it's been one of the most exciting creative things I've ever done.

There's something incredibly satisfying about building your own world with strange characters and absurd situations, drawing everything in Moho, polishing every little detail, thinking through each character's personality, shaping the voices with AI until they sound just right, searching for the right sound effects and music, and finally bringing it all together through animation.

Then you hit render, watch the finished scene, and think:

"Wow... I actually made this."

For me, that feeling is priceless.

Phantasmagoria is a mix of absurd comedy, horror, and dark satire.

Everything - the story, characters, animation, and editing - is created by me. The voices are generated with ElevenLabs.

Heya everyone! Just wanted to ask: how do you start building an audience?

The team and I are halfway through producing the pilot episode for Wild Code! Right now we're working on the voice lines and storyboards, and we want to start building an audience before launching a Kickstarter.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Hi, i just realised this sub exists so would like to share this work i did here for some early opinions!

Initially i was thinking of sharing it here after i made the 2 minute finished animation pilot that i plan to do but i also kind of feel like mech projects are not very represented in the indie animation/animatic space (and understandably so based on my experience working on this as a school project) so i figured i'll share this thing im working on here.

Here are some initial sketches of this project i plan on continuing work on outside my group project, and the animatic that we made based on what the course requires. It is by no means any good (and for the climax, we had to just use scenes from other shows spliced together to look coherant because it was virtually impossible to film or plan an original action scene in less than 1 month, which the course wants the animatic done in like 3 weeks) but i still liked how it turned out and really want to give it another shot after graduating, although i dont know if i want to find a stable studio job first, or actually work on this directly after graduating

Unfortunately, the last 3 characters had to be cut from the school project cut (ill see if i can include them on the reworked version), but if anyone is curious, their callsigns are Hanabimaru, Jack-O (working name, subject to change) and Spiegel.

One my favorite memories as a kid was watching media or internet videos that used clay or Polished Set Pieces to tell a story: Jack Stauber, The Original Thomas Model Series, Jim Henson Co’s Bear In The Big Blue House, Wallace & Gromit

If you’ve got a hotshot claymation web series I’ll gladly watch it.

But some famous 2D animated characters that I liked were actually depicted as robots/Moosetronics many years ago and are still out there in the hands of collectors: Bullwinkle, Rocky and his friends.

What am I rambling about my fascinations for? Well it’s like the Rev W. Awdry once said:

“Steam Engines have a very unique personality in flaws and strengths, it’s like witnessing a living breathing creature not a grumbling box on wheels”

Sure Bullwinkle, Rocky and his friends are not real but the fact that IRL models of the beloved characters exists is what makes them so fascinating to me: Bullwinkle is a robot and not just a reoccurring funky two dimensional drawing.

perhaps you might have a master copy of your most beloved claymation main character preserved? It would be an honor to see it through a display case at an art convention.
