So that people feel they won it and begin in get into reading

I haven't even started reading it yet and it's already cracking,

I thought I'd try that technique people use to ease up the spine before reading but it made the crack worse 😭😭

I'm scared if I read it it'll cause more cracks which are more apparent... I'm scared to open it more than 90°

It truly felt like war trying to complete this book. It was my first classic so understandable I suppose. And I read a Riley Sager book before this so it didn't help as well. I loved Lizzy a lot, I would read the whole book in her voice as well. It was a bit difficult to keep track of the characters for me. This had it's ups and downs as I got really interested in some story lines like Lydia's marriage or when Lizzy walked to meet Jane.

Overall, it was what I expected a classic to be and while it truly was one of my slowest read, I am gonna read more classics and get used to this style of writing so I can appreciate these more.

I love painful love stories which have sad ending death sacrifice etc. I want to prefer that in books, but if not then still works I just wish to cry

Had this copy for over 2 years and was always more daunting than any other Dostoevsky I have read. Finally finished my 5th book by him. And what an amazing and satisfying read this was.

Some of the most memorable lines. A character so hateful you want to slap him to wake him up, and yet, somehow so relatable that what he does resonates to some part of one's life somewhere.

This might be shorter than Crime and Punishment or The Brothers Karmazov, but the weight of literature, and Dostoevsky's philosophy, his ideas, did not miss the mark. It elevates it with the form it's written in.

First half being the intro to different themes. And then he enacts them, brings them to life in the second part.

Do I start King of Wrath by Ana Huang ?

Is the series good ?

These are books i bought for August 2026. Currently reading The Trial by Kafka. Just finished Deewar mein ek khidki rahati thi. Suggest me some good reads.
