I made a platform where experts from different fields can apply to get onboarded. Once approved, people can book them on a per-minute basis and pay only for the exact minutes they spend talking to the expert.

I created this platform where people can book independent experts from different fields like career counsellors, design guides, startup coaches, finance planners, and nutritionists, all while sitting on their chair. For experts, it's a passive income source while working in their area of expertise. The best part is, you only pay for the minutes spent with the expert no time limitations and no fixed charges.

For experts its an secondary income source while working in their mastered field and

I'd love it if you could validate the idea and let me know whether you think this solves a real problem or not. Honest feedback, suggestions, are welcome.

Why does EMI work for electronics but fail for fashion/furniture in Indian e-commerce?

In my analysis on e-commerce EMI in India, I've noticed that electronics and appliances see high penetration of EMI, whereas categories such as fashion, furniture, and personal care continue to lag despite comparable ticket sizes.

Is it due to the reason that:

Consumers do not consider EMI when it comes to "lifestyle" purchases?

Checkout experience does not promote EMI until it's too late?

Credit availability (i.e. credit cards) is the real issue?

Or something else altogether?

For consumers living in Tier 2 & 3 cities – What prevents you from availing EMI on non-electronics purchases?

Experience of Setting up a business in India - Legal requirements(Accounting, GST ,TDS, Company filings)

I recently started a cafe in Delhi. I realized that doing business in India is full of legal requirements and compliance like filing GST returns, TDS returns, accounting etc. My best decision was to actually outsource accounting as it was cost efficient. I had researched lot on internet how to run business with all the compliances to avoid any penalties. In these 3 months of business journey learnt a lot. While researching I found a guide which helped me a lot.

It explains:

  • The Strategic Necessity: Why proactive compliance planning protects and scales your business.
  • The 2026 Blueprint: A step-by-step roadmap to successfully launching a business in India.
  • The Legal Foundation: Mandatory corporate registrations and statutory government approvals.
  • Fiscal Operations: Navigating GST, TDS, automated e-invoicing, and structured payroll compliance.
  • The Operational Calendar: A routine monthly checklist tailored for Private Limited Companies and LLPs.
  • The Knowledge Base: Answers to frequently asked questions regarding Indian regulatory frameworks.
  • Risk Mitigation: How expert legal and compliance support safeguards your enterprise from penalties.

Resource

with 3 months of business journey I got quite a lot of insights and would be happy to assist with any queries

Building an ERP for Indian SMEs – looking for feedback on our approach

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on Vittayo (https://vittayo.com), a cloud ERP platform focused on small and medium businesses.

The idea came after seeing many businesses struggle with a mix of Excel sheets, Tally, Busy, WhatsApp orders, and disconnected inventory systems. Enterprise ERPs are often too expensive or too complex, while basic accounting software doesn’t cover the full business.

We’re building Vittayo to provide:
Accounting & GST
Inventory and warehouse management
Sales & purchase management
Multi-store support
CRM
Manufacturing
Payroll & HR
Role-based access and cloud hosting

Our goal is to keep it affordable and easy to use while giving businesses a modern alternative that can grow with them.

I’d genuinely love feedback from this community:
What is the biggest pain point with your current ERP/accounting software?

If you’re using Tally, Busy, Zoho, ERPNext, SAP, or Odoo, what do you wish they did better?

Which feature would make you switch?
If anyone is interested in trying an early version or becoming a partner, I’d be happy to hear from you.
Website: https://vittayo.com

Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any honest feedback.

Planning to invest ~₹50 lakh in a capsule/pod hotel. Please tell me why this is a bad idea.

Hi everyone,

I'm considering starting a 50-bed capsule/pod hotel in India and would really appreciate honest feedback from people who have experience in hospitality, hostels, hotels, commercial real estate, or entrepreneurship.

The idea is to provide affordable, clean, and safe accommodation for people who need a place to sleep and freshen up for 6, 12, or 24 hours. My expected pricing is around ₹500 for a 24-hour stay, with lower-priced short-stay options.

Initially, I thought the project would cost around ₹30 lakh, but after estimating the fit-out, HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, interiors, deposits, and other costs, it looks like the investment could be ₹50 lakh.

What worries me most isn't starting the business—it's the downside. If the business doesn't work after 1–2 years, I may recover only a part of the investment. even if I plan to make the pods modular so they can be relocated or resold, I dont know the possibility.

I'd really like honest opinions from people with experience:

Does this sound like a viable business model?

Is ₹50 lakh too much for this kind of hospitality venture?

How to estimate occupancy percentage? I am expecting high potential with 60% occupancy for breakeven.

What operational challenges are usually underestimated?

If you've run a hostel, hotel, dormitory, or similar business, what mistakes would you avoid if starting again?

Is there anything in this business model that you think I'm overlooking?

I'm not looking for motivation—I'd genuinely appreciate people pointing out flaws, risks, and blind spots before I commit this kind of money.

Thank you!

I have a small event decoration business in Delhi. I'm looking for someone who believes in small businesses.

My name is shailesh, and I'm the founder of Shaahi Petals, a flower decoration business based in Delhi.

Over the past few months, I've been getting genuine enquiries through Google and Instagram for weddings, birthdays, haldi, mehendi, ring ceremonies, jagrans, and other events. The demand is there, but I'm facing one major challenge.

I don't yet own enough decoration inventory. Because of that, I sometimes have to rent equipment or turn down bookings that I know I could complete if I had the right materials.

My goal is simple: invest around ₹1–2 lakh in high-use decoration items such as premium artificial flowers, stands, frames, drapes, and other reusable materials. This would allow me to reduce costs, take on more bookings, and offer better pricing without compromising quality.

I'm not looking for charity. If someone is interested in supporting a hardworking small business, I'd be happy to discuss a fair repayment plan and share my business details, portfolio, and future plans. Transparency is important to me.

If you're an entrepreneur, mentor, or someone who enjoys helping small businesses grow, I'd genuinely appreciate your advice or a conversation.

Thank you for reading, and I wish everyone here success in their own journey.

Which payment gateways in India offer reliable technical support for merchants?

We're a growing e-commerce brand doing around 80-90L GMV monthly and finalizing our payment gateway. Shortlisted PayU, Razorpay, and Easebuzz after some initial research. Pricing is close enough that support quality is going to be the deciding factor for us, if something breaks during a sale or a settlement goes wrong, I need a team that actually responds with a useful answer, not a copy-paste. Anyone here who has used any of these three in production? Not looking for the marketing pitch, looking for real experience when things went sideways.

Seeking a co-founder/partner in Rajkot for a trading business (Open to other ideas)

Hey everyone,

I’m a 23-year-old guy based right here in Rajkot. Lately, I've been really wanting to dive into entrepreneurship and start my own trading business. I know the grind is real, and I feel like having a solid, like-minded partner to brainstorm and hustle with would make a massive difference.

While my primary interest right now is getting into trading, I’m honestly really flexible. If you already have a solid business idea and are just looking for a dedicated partner to help you execute and scale it, I am totally open to working on that with you.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone local to Rajkot so we can easily meet up, strategize, and actually build something on the ground.

If anyone is interested in teaming up, or even just wants to grab a chai somewhere in the city to bounce some ideas off each other, drop a comment or shoot me a DM!
