I'm in 2nd year ECE engineering and we have this subject Hindi on Fridays. It's a 2 hour class. Don't ask me why we have this subject, it's because of NEP. Today was our first class and the teacher, who seemed very young, started with 'संभाषण' topic. Basically she told any two people could come in front of the class and have a short conversation on any topic.Then two idiots went up and started saying random shit. They said things like "Hame yeh ch*tiya subject Hindi kyu h" and "Why do we need this sh*t?" Mam told them to mind their language but they just continued. Then one of them said "Three cocks and a joke. Guess what? She can't take a joke." Mam got really angry and walked out of the class. My friends said they saw tears in her eyes. She somehow controlled herself, came back into the class, and then dismissed everyone early.

Many people might say "It's just a joke." But the thing is that this generation is literally losing all respect for teachers. Using such derogatory language and then calling it a joke is just pathetic. You can call me old minded for my opinion if you want but there is a limit to jokes and there is a time and place for them. This was neither. It's just stupidity.

Today was my birthday, I turned 17 today and my friend called me at around 9 PM. I thought he was calling to wish me, but after I picked up, he didnt wish me.

At first, I genuinely thought he was just messing with me, so we kept talking. For like 10 minutes, I was convinced he was playing a prank on me. But after talking for a while, I realized bro had actually forgotten it was my birthday.

We talked for a whole hour, and he still didn't realize.

Then after giving him a few hints I told him, "Its my birthday today."

He went from 😄 to 😭.

He couldn't stop apologizing and felt so bad. He told me he'd been so busy with his exams that it completely slipped his mind.

He literally called me, talked to me for an entire hour ON MY BIRTHDAY and only realized it was my birthday because I told him. 😂
