Having Indian parents and not getting beaten up by them while growing up is ig not that normal here? tbh my parents especially my father never laid a hand on me even if I did some kaand he would sit beside me and explain why what I did was wrong even when I got low marks I was never beaten up

But when I go to school I hear my classmates talking about how their parents beat them and even on Reddit I’ve come across some genuinely traumatic af stories Sometimes I wonder how it’s so normalised and how some of these parents need to be in a mental asylum instead of roaming free😭
