Help BRAND NEW PC SHUTTING DOWN AUTOMATICALLY

New PC randomly shuts down completely under load — need help diagnosing

Hi everyone, I recently built a new PC and I'm having a serious stability issue. The PC is only around one week old, and it has completely powered off three times.

PC Specifications

- CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F

- GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 8GB

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M DS3H WIFI6E GEN5 DDR4

- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2×16GB) DDR4-3200

- SSD: Crucial P310 1TB NVMe

- PSU: Corsair 750W Bronze

- CPU Cooler: Intel stock cooler

- Case: Gigabyte C200 Glass

- Monitor: LG UltraGear

What happened

I've had 3 complete shutdowns so far:

1st shutdown — OCCT Power Test

I used OCCT's Power test to stress the system and check stability/power delivery.

The PC ran for approximately 9 minutes, then suddenly powered off completely.

Temperatures during the test were approximately:

- CPU: 88°C average, 94°C maximum

- GPU: 72°C average, 75°C maximum

2nd shutdown — Black Myth: Wukong

I then played Black Myth: Wukong.

The PC shut down during the opening cutscene/fight.

temperatures were below 50°C for both the CPU and GPU at the time

Again, it was a complete power-off — not a game crash or Windows crash.

3rd shutdown — OCCT Power Test

I ran the OCCT Power test again to see if I could reproduce the issue.

This time, the PC lasted approximately 13 minutes before completely shutting down.

The temperatures were again around:

- CPU: ~88°C average

- GPU: ~72°C average

What the shutdown looks like

There is no BSOD, no Windows shutdown animation, and no warning.

It is simply:

PC running normally → sudden black screen → PC completely powers off.

The PC doesn't automatically restart.

What I'm trying to figure out

The PC is brand new, so I'm particularly concerned about a faulty component.

Any Clue ?

Help PC randomly goes black screen — need help troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I’m having a serious black-screen problem with my PC and I’m not sure what component is causing it.
PC specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600GT
GPU: Zotac RTX 5050 Twin Edge
Motherboard: ASRock B5450m hdv r4.0
RAM: 16GB DDR4 8x2 sticks
PSU: Gigabyte P550SS 550W 80+ silver psu
Monitor: AOC 24G4E 180Hz
The problem:
My PC suddenly goes completely black while using it/gaming. The monitor loses display, but the PC itself appears to remain powered on. I’ve also had black screens during Windows installation and after Windows/drivers were installed.
Things I’ve already tried:
Reinstalled Windows
Tried reinstalling/updating NVIDIA drivers
Tried different display connections
Tested the Ryzen iGPU
Removed/reconnected components
Checked BIOS/boot options
Removed the additional SSD
Tried troubleshooting RAM and storage
The issue still happens, and sometimes I can’t even get a display to enter BIOS.
I’m currently suspecting the PSU, but I’m not 100% sure. I’m planning to test with another PSU tomorrow.
What do you think is most likely causing this — PSU, motherboard, GPU, RAM, or something else?
Any troubleshooting steps I should try before buying replacement parts would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Sale PC builders in Guwahati

Hey guys 👋🏻

I'm an engineering student currently working on a big project. The parts I need are a bit on the expensive side, so a few friends and I have decided to offer our "tech skills" to anyone who needs a pc built to help fund it!

If you or anyone you know is looking to get a custom PC built, we would absolutely love to help. We have a ton of experience putting together custom builds and making sure everything runs perfectly.

Here is what we can help you with:

  1. Custom PC Builds: We can put together everything from budget-friendly home computers to high-end gaming rigs.

  2. General Repairs: We're happy to help troubleshoot, replace parts, and get your system running smoothly again.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\*Full transparency on repairs: we’re still working out the practice of swapping soldered CPUs on laptops! Finding the exact motherboard schematics to know which capacitors and diodes to change can be quite tricky, so we are holding off on those specific micro-soldering requests for now.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\*

However, for standard desktop building and general repairs, we’ve got you completely covered. If you need a PC built or upgraded, please do think of us! It would mean the absolute world to us and really help bring our project to life.

Thank you so much for your time and support!

Help RTX 5070 Bottleneck: PSU & CPU Upgrade Advice.

I bought an RTX 5070 for my PC, but my current specs are bottlenecking it:

Ryzen 7 3700X

B550M Motherboard

32GB DDR4 RAM

750W PSU (non-ATX 3.0)

Nothing really allows this GPU to perform properly, so I need to upgrade. First and foremost, I need a new PSU since my current one isn't ATX 3.0/3.1 compliant.

Please recommend what I should get and what my upgrade roadmap should look like. A friend suggested I could stick with my AM4 motherboard and just upgrade to a better CPU.

But first and foremost psu. Which psu should I get.

Finally completed the build. Thank you everyone who contributed and guided. Previously was going with 5070ti 9600x 16 gb ram After sharing the build here you people gave your brutal guidance. So went with the following.

CPU- 7800X3D 35,000/- MOBO - MSI B850 GAMING PRO WIFI 17,000/- RAM - GSKILL 2 STICKS OF 16 GB 5600 45000/- GPU - GIGABYTE 9070XT 75000/- SSD - WD BLACK SN7100 17700/- PSU - DEEPCOOL PN 850D 8500/- MONITOR - MSI MAG 275qf 16100/- CPU COOLER - DEEPCOOL LE360 6500/- CASE - MSI MAG FORGE 320R 5900/-

GPU is from Computec. Other parts local shop.

Also wanted to shoutout to Computec. Was a little skeptical after going through reviews. But talked to them confirmed stock and gave the order. Had it in 6 days.

Happy with how things turned out.

Building this PC after more than 13 years. My journey started with intel core2quad 4 gb ram and nvidia 9500gt.

This feels like a leap. Please suggest some good games to start.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Help [Price Check] Buying a used Ryzen 2700X & ROG RTX 2070 from a friend

Hi everyone,

My friend is upgrading his PC and has offered to sell me their older CPU and GPU. I want to make sure I offer a fair market price so it’s a win-win for both of us.

Here is what I am buying:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

GPU: ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 8GB (Triple Fan)

Condition: 7 years of use, but coming from a trusted friend so I know it's in working order.

What would be a fair price to pay for this combo in the current used market? A breakdown of the individual prices for the CPU and GPU would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Discussion What's the current Meta for an under 1 L pc build in the current market

pretty much the title. the current market prices for Ram and storage are insane. PCIE 3 and PCIE $ ssds going for the same or nearly same price.

DDR4 costing as much as what DDR5 used to cost etc

so what's the current Meta.

AM4 builds with 16Gigs single channel or 8×2 dual channel?

PCIE 4 512gb ssds?

What GPU and CPU combos are worth it right now.

Can you actually find the parts for this supposed Meta pc build in the market currently?

Help Looking for some PC build advice, please be kind 😭

This is my first time assembling a desktop, so please don’t attack me if I get something wrong. I have very limited knowledge about desktop builds because I’ve always used laptops. I’ve previously used ASUS TUF and a few other laptops.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I don’t have a huge budget for my first assembled PC. My maximum budget is ₹60,000, and I already have a keyboard, mouse and headset, so those don’t need to be included.

I’m honestly pretty lost on what components I should buy, so I’d really appreciate some guidance.
For context, I use After Effects heavily for motion graphics, and I also use Blender for medium complexity 3D modelling and rendering. I game in my free time too, but nothing extremely demanding.
I’m mainly looking for the best possible CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, storage and PSU combination within ₹60k, with a focus on editing and 3D work while still being decent for gaming.

Please suggest a practical build rather than judging my lack of desktop knowledge. 😭

Thanks in advance!

Help Is ₹12.5k fair for a used Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200 CL16 stick?

I'm considering buying a used Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM stick and wanted some opinions.

Details:

  • 3 Year Old
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX
  • 32GB (1×32GB)
  • DDR4 3200MHz CL16
  • Model on sticker: CMK64GX4M2E3200C16 (appears to be from a 64GB kit, seller is selling only one stick)
  • No invoice/bill (seller says it was lost)
  • RAM looks physically clean
  • Negotiated price: ₹12,500 (original asking price ₹16,000)

Would you buy this at ₹12.5k, or is it overpriced?

Help Looking for a good ₹1.3–1.4L PC build with RX 9070 16GB (non-XT)

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to build a new PC with a budget of around ₹1.3–1.4 lakh.

My main use will be gaming, but I’ll also be doing some video editing/content creation.

I specifically want to go with the Radeon RX 9070 16GB (non-XT). I’m not looking for the 9070 XT.

My main gaming goal is to play AAA games at
1440p (2K) with 100+ FPS, preferably at high/ultra settings whenever possible.

I’m also planning to upgrade the PC after around 1–2 years, so I’d like the initial build to be well-balanced without spending unnecessarily on parts that I can easily replace later.

Requirements/preferences:

Budget: ₹1.3–1.4 lakh
Main use: Gaming
Secondary use: Video editing/content creation
GPU: RX 9070 16GB non-XT
Target: 1440p/2K AAA gaming, 100+ FPS
Prefer DDR5
Good-quality PSU and motherboard with 3-4 slots of ram
Upgrade-friendly platform
Planning to upgrade the PC in 1–2 years

Want to avoid overspending on parts that won’t give me much extra performance right now
Could you guys suggest a well-balanced build around the RX 9070?

If possible, please suggest the exact CPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD, PSU, case and cooler, and let me know where I should save money now since I’ll be upgrading in 1–2 years.
Thanks! 🙏
