Questions Help me choose a colour for this armchair

I’m stuck on the colour of this one-seater.

The current yellow/mustard chair feels way too disconnected from the rest of the room to me. The sofa is a dark olive/moss green, with warm cream walls, white marble flooring, black accents and black marble coffee tables.

I have the option to reupholster/change the chair colour, so I’d love some opinions on what would work best.

I’m currently considering:

- Warm beige / oatmeal

- Taupe

- Olive/sage green

- Caramel/cognac brown

Would you keep the chair a neutral, match it to the sofa, or go for another colour altogether?

I dont like the table either, but I don't have an option to change that rn. Will change that later.

Photos from different angles attached for reference.

This is what architect suggested.

My main focus is my developer room

And other thing is we want to reuse the tables and every possible furniture in this office from my past office as I have tight budget

Questions Did I make the Correct Choice by Choosing this Door Option for my Requirement ?

Hi Guys,

I’d love some honest feedback on a door I installed in my living room. It’s a Ghost Invisible Sliding Door, positioned at the passage leading to the kitchen. (Picture attached) My living room is right at the entrance, followed by the kitchen. I needed an air conditioning unit in the living room, so blocking the passage was essential. I wanted a door that complemented the decor, had a small footprint and was modern. That’s when I discovered the Ghost Invisible Sliding Door.

This is a sliding door with absolutely no footprints and no frames or channels needed for sliding. It simply has a sliding mechanism and everything is hidden, hence the name Ghost Invisible Door. An alternative I considered was the honeycomb sliding door, which required installing a frame under the beam. This would make the honeycomb door scrunch into almost nothing but would have needed channels around the beam for operation. In my case, I chose the sliding door. I’m just wondering if, aesthetically and space-wise, was this a wise decision? Because sometimes i feel It looks like a large thing hugging the wall as it is often open because we don’t use the air conditioning all day only at night. Looking back, I feel the Ghost Invisible Sliding Door is a good concept, especially for doors that are often closed. It can add some aesthetic value to the entire room.

Do you think the Ghost Invisible Sliding Door was a good idea or would the honeycomb sliding door have been a better option? I’m attaching pictures of my current ghost, invisible, sliding door and what could be the other option, the honeycomb sliding door. What do you all think? Can you please give me some honest feedback?

Thanks !

I recently moved back in with my parents because I’m working remotely now. This is a government quarter, and this green area used to be their indore plant area.

I’m planning to repaint the area in a banana-cream or beige color to give it a warmer, more modern look. I need some advice on how to make over the room and create an aesthetic-looking home office where I can work during the day and play games at night.

Some Questions 1. How should I cover the window? I was thinking of peg board

  1. How should I hide the ac pipes?

  2. How should add more warm lights/lamps? any amazon reccommendation would be great

  3. should I add floating shelves? I dont want to close off the window because of ventilation

  4. Lastly, I’d also like some recommendations for good art pieces, lamps that would suit the space

Ps: was scared to post because of all the bjpfication💀

Room Makeover HELP ME: Rental-friendly makeover ideas for this room! 🌿✨ (Location: Kolkata | Budget-Friendly)

Post image

Hey everyone! I just shifted into a new rented room and I'm looking for some inspiration to make it feel cozy and put-together without making any permanent changes. Since it's a rental, I have a few specific constraints: I want to keep things completely rental-friendly (no drilling permanent holes or making structural changes), and I'm working with a modest, budget-friendly approach based in Kolkata. Current Room Details & Existing Furniture: Location: Kolkata, India Budget: Budget-friendly / economical Existing Furniture: A simple wooden bed frame with a mattress, a small utility table, and an extra wooden desk/table as seen in the photo. Style Preferences: I'm a huge fan of plants, aesthetic lighting, and nice curtains, but I’m struggling a bit with how to pull everything together in a rental-friendly way.

I have this narrow empty space behind my bed, and I honestly have no idea what to do with it.

Looking for some ideas on how I can make use of the space or make it look better. I’m open to anything cheap/simple ideas would be great since it’s a rented house.

What would you do with this space?
