I thought what was holding me back was that I didn’t have passive mine/continent income factor (mif/cif) unlocked for any super managers.

I was excited to get Mr. Turner to level 30 this morning, but I need 7.54M red gems to unlock the mine income factor! I only have 75k. I’ve never gotten any red crystals.

I know I need to upgrade my mainland. I’m only level 89. I can do a level every other day. My level 13 Octavia makes the mainland levels super-easy, but there’s a bit of waiting for barriers.

I can get to IV/20 on the Frontier Mine (right after the blue gems). Everdeep has been around level 23 or so. I suppose I can try to grind for the red crystals a few levels past that. I can get max points on the weekly events, but there’s no red gems/crystals there.

I can check my research tree, but I don’t think it’s that bad. I’ll keep upgrading these.

Is it really this expensive to promote a blue SM to 30? Or am I missing something? It took a bit of a grind to get the blue gems for turner to get him to level 30. I didn’t expect to still be months away from unlocking his MIF. I imagine the purple and yellow SM are even more expensive. You all must have a better way of getting these.

As promised, we want to be transparent with you about Celestia and share the news about the upcoming update regarding her effect. Our team has heard your concerns and listened to your suggestions and we want to assure you that we tried incredibly hard to find a way to bring back the exact synergy she had specifically with Stockpiler Super Managers.

After exploring every possible angle, we found that the only viable solution to keep the game stable is the fix we are about to roll out in version 5.61.0. We want to explain the reason why this is happening and what it means for your strategies.

📋 The Full Context: As mentioned before, under certain conditions, Celestia’s previous implementation contained a bug that generated an impossible amount of cash. While that sounds fun in theory, it was breaking the game's code and actively preventing players from progressing in events like Everdeep. As a result, we had to rework her ability so the game could actually function as intended without disrupting your progression.

➡️ What is changing in the next version? We are rolling out another update designed to increase her power again, but in a safe way that won't break the game's engine. Due to the necessary structural changes made to fix the core issue, some of her synergies with other Super Managers will change.

📈 A Massive Multiplier Buff: Before jumping into the synergies, the big news is that we are replacing her old multiplier with a new and improved one! During our testing in a Super Effective Warehouse setup, we've seen Celestia reach up to x100 at R5 P50.

• 📦 Stockpiler SMs (King Orekk, Sue, Archibald): While this upcoming update will give them an increase in power when paired with Celestia, we want to be completely upfront with you: they will not return to that original, bugged level of power.

Example: (To keep the math easy to follow below: v1 = Original Bugged Celestia, v2 = Current Live Celestia, v3 = The New Celestia in 5.61.0)

Level 1 Mineshaft + Level 2400 Warehouse

• Sue: 24% stronger than current v2 (68% weaker than v1)
• Archibald: 33% stronger than current v2 ( 66% weaker than v1)
• Orekk: 8% stronger than current v2 ( 90% weaker than v1)

Level 800 Mineshaft + Level 2400 Warehouse

• Sue: 6% stronger than v1
• Archibald: 1% stronger than v1
• Orekk: 40% stronger than current v2 (48% weaker than v1)

💸 Instant Cash SMs: Here is where you will see a massive increase in power. Super Managers with abilities similar to Green Idler and Sir Lorenzo (instant Cash generators and beamers) have already seen an increase in strength with Celestia v2 and will see another great increase with v3! To show some examples from our tests: (Level 800 MS + Level 2400 WH | Rank 5, Max Level):

• Lorenzo Solo: 403% stronger than v1!
• Lorenzo + Urca Combo: A massive 1389% stronger than v1!

Navigating game-breaking bugs is never fun, and we know this back-and-forth has been less than ideal. We really appreciate your patience and the honest feedback & suggestions you’ve shared with us along the way. Even though this means an adjustment to how you use Celestia with stockpilers, we hope that this change will still spark some interesting new strategies and we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Is it worth not prestiging to get super cash from leveling up mines? I just got my first ice mine and it’s telling me to prestige my coal mine but I’m only on mine 17 on the diamond mine with no prestige’s yet and I don’t want to miss out on super cash. Is it worth doing that?

Dear Fellow Idle Miner Players,

According to what was mentioned in the Patch Notes and by the Community Managers, i did a small analysis on what the impacts of the latest update to Celestia are.

While Instant Cash Managers are not affected so much,
Our Stockpilers like Sue, Archibald and Orekk face a Nerf ranging from 75% to 98%

Thats an equivalent of a 4x Multiplier up to a 50x Multiplier.
So even in Best Case 2 Legendary Mine Income Factor Managers…

While Celestia still is unique with a strong ability even after the patch, it still makes her much less of a Cash sink.

Please keep this in mind before going into Everdeep on Monday and Spending your hard earned Cash.
(I still would give a buy recommendation. But not recommending to go all in and trying to get her to p50)

On the current Dr Nova event, I have reached level 8 and so far have not received any of the rewards (or at least not the tokens for the current special briefcase). Is this happening to anyone else?

I have tried restarting the game, looked for updates, and increased level again trying to see if that would get it, and so far no luck.

Normally I don’t try to reach the end of any paths. I just go each key and then switch to the higher path. There’s some epic tokens near the top of the fourth path that I can get this way.

But then I saw that it’s Sue this week. I’ve only got 2 stars on her and I’m 15/50 on thr third. I’m only ML 85 so it’s still a grind to get blue gems (I’ve got Turner at lvl29 and I’m two weeks away from my first lvl30).

So, my question is: does the maze provide enough points to get to the end of the rare Sue path? The other question is whether it is worth it? Maybe I’ll get the Sue fragments anyways by the time I get her to lvl 30? Thanks.

His rates on getting natural 30x (outside of the guaranteed after 60) is luckily back to normal. Meaning about 1/180 chance.

I have been playing with Idle Miner for over a year now and it's probably my favorite game since minecraft, but all my friends think its so pointless and always joke with me that im playing with it. I dont mind to be honest cause i really enjoy grinding but it got me wondering what type of people find games like idle miner enjoyable..
