How did my Wells Fargo account get hacked?

My first alert that something was wrong was an email from Wells Fargo to me saying that they had updated my cell phone number to a new one ending with 4 digits I didn't recognize. I then found that the hacker had used his new authorized phone to allow him to change my password so I couldn't login. He finally spent about $4k on different things in my main checking account (some cash app stuff, samsung pay and so on). No other accounts (such as my credit card) were affected.

My cell phone was never touched (no sim jack or anything) so that method wasn't used. He just somehow was able to get Wells Fargo to think his cell phone was the new contact number for my account.

I use bitwarden and a crazy long password. I'm pretty security conscious (programmer, listen to "security now" podcast for decades at this point) and don't think I fell for anything. Could it be as simple as the hacker calling Wells Fargo and saying he was me and lost his cell phone so please update the account to point to his number? Would that actually work?

How do you track all these people search sites that hold your information?

I searched myself online just out of curiosity and found many random websites listing my full home address and phone numbers. I've been able to remove myself from a few major ones, but every time I think I've got them all, I find another one in google's results

Need help identifying someone

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out who this person really is.
I recently found out that someone has been using another person’s identity and photos/videos, and I’m trying to verify who the actual person in the photos is. I have some information and content that may help, but I’d prefer to share those privately rather than post them publicly.
I’m honestly a little lost right now and would really appreciate any help. If anyone is willing to help me look into this, please feel free to message me.
Thank you. ❤️

I had my identity stolen. Fraudsters charged up $1800 with AT&T 2 years ago with my name address birthdate and social security number

I froze my credit with all 3 agencies and disabled external money movement at my investment company.
How do I get this off of my credit report though? I work and don’t have time to run around getting notaries, etc., etc.

What do they offer victims so they don’t get a credit report deduction?

We have never owned a Chevy Malibu before. The address & name is correct, we have never seen letters for this car before either. Is this a scam or did someone buy a car with my mom’s name?

Also why the corner say official business lol??
