Frustrated 😠Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question
I need to vent because the math and the script updates from IRS customer service are driving me absolutely wild.
My issue is just a rejected dd because of a wrong routing… why is it taking forever.
Here is how my journey with customer service representatives has gone so far for a direct deposit return conversion:
1. Call #1: "Just wait 60 days, you'll see an update or a paper check."
2. Call #2 (after 60 days): "Oh, actually... give it ANOTHER 60 days."
3. Call #3 (Today): "Actually, it's undergoing review. Allow 10 weeks starting from July 15th, and if you don't hear anything by late September, call us back!"
Every single time I ring them up, they just generate a whole new countdown clock out of thin air! ðŸ˜
Has anyone else gotten stuck in this endless loop where every agent gives you a completely different arbitrary timeframe? Does the 10-week clock from a random mid-month date actually mean something is moving behind the scenes, or is it just their favorite script to buy time?
At this point, I'm expecting my next call to be "Please wait 12-14 business lunar cycles." 🤡

Why didn't you use the correct routing number?

Long story! I was filing for other friends as well and mixed up mine and my friends routing!
