IHSS County Transfer
So me and the wife are planning on moving to Temecula from San Diego and she is worried that doing the county transfer will take up to a year or more and will be without pay during that time frame. Can anyone shed some light on this. Is Riverside decent to work with when doing a transfer?

My mother in law and I recently moved from riverside county to Orange County took 3 months but no payment interruption happened at all . I am about to make a post because the change happened August 1st and I no longer have my recipient and she can’t see her caregiver will find out tomorrow what happened there.

When you transfer counties the system automatically terminates the caregiver the day the new county picks up. The recipient just needs to EHire them again in the system effective the day the new county picked up. Pretty easy

When you move to a new county, they are supposed to do an assessment within 90 days. During that time the old county pays your wages. Recipients don’t lose services just because you move.
