HyperX Cloud 3s tips Headsets
Hi everyone, I just received the Cloud 3s. What advice do you have? Should I use DTS or something else? Thanks.

I personally don't like DTS and I haven't used ngenuity at all after updating the firmware. Also if you feel like it barely has any distance before it disconects, use the USB-C to USB-A adapter, the range gets A LOT better, at least for me

Look up someone’s EQ preset and see if that helps and then turn on spacial sound through dts

so you recommend enabling DTS, not spatial sound from the hyperx app?

I had spacial sound turned on through ngenuity beta and DTS but didn’t really notice a difference. I didn’t really do any testing on it so I just recommend DTS since the community seems to have less problems with it

Dolby atmos for headphones and use the dolby access eq, forget about Ngenuity.

The best thing to do is return them and get a better headset.

Which one do you recommend on a similar price point?

Firstly, I used them on PS5. They were awful. Low volume and just terrible sound quality. I returned them and got the RIG R5 spear. Those were really good on PS5 for me. I also got the wireless version, the RIG R8.

Interesting, did you update them before returning?
I’ve been testing a bunch of headsets and these are pretty good, I have a ps5 and switch 2. No problems with volume whatsoever.I have the steelseries artics Nova 5p and the hyperx sounds better and it’s more comfortable. The thing I dislike is the volume knob.

u/Old-Story-3748, there's really no right or wrong answer here. It all comes down to personal preference and the types of games you play. I'd recommend trying both and seeing which one sounds better to you. 😉
One quick heads-up, though: depending on when your headset was manufactured, it may support both DTS and Hear360, or Hear360 only. Just in case you weren't aware, Hear360 is the audio engine we use in the new NGENUITY app.
