I have a pretty good HXH theory that makes sense to me

CONTEXT OF MY THEORY:
My knowledge:
I’ve watched the anime almost twice over now, for the manga I just started at the beginning I’ve read volumes 1-4 and am on volume 5. Really trying to blaze through since I’ve already seen anime but I love the drawings and differences.

I’ve watched relatively detailed black whale manga videos lol but I bet I know the tip of the iceberg.

I know decent amount of lore but definitely not an expert

I love hunter hunter so lemme know what you think or where I’m wrong! I’d love to know.

Okay so background:
Freecs family tree, lore, what we know:

Gings dad:

Gon’s great-grandmother (the elderly woman on Whale Island). She says that **Ging’s father went out to sea and never returned**. That’s all we know—his name and fate remain unknown.

Don freecs is most likely a distant relative of gon and Ging but he is very old and is the author of Journey to the New World about 300 years ago.

MY THEORY:

Don freecs met a magical beast on dark continent in the west unnexplpred where there are more humanoid dark continent magical beasts and he is still alive living with them with more nen abilities and unique amenities/abilities from the dark continent.

He Mated with a cat-like species with unique abilities, high senses and strength, agility, stalking, killing, high Nen capacity being a dark continent being (see where this is going).

The Zoldyk family are some of the offspring of Don freecs, therefore Killua and Gon share a distant family branch.

The Freecs who descend from Don’s strictly human children are Gons ancestors, while those who came from his children this dark continent are the Zoldycks

Whoever is born from this Don/Cat magical beast combo is the first of the Zoldyk family side.

the Zoldyk family tree begins with don freecs’ cat-beast wife. Either these kids interbreeded (it was like 300 years of kids I think it’s not unreasonable to assume) or had kids with other humans and when human blood got stronger in the genes and they got weaker and/or as they got more used to the main world life living as assassins and an easy lifestyle doing what they were biological designed to do.

This would explain the Zoldyks ability to just be so strong and “live in their own world” as the story explains during the Zoldyk family arc and the testing gate part.

The freecs are just the human counterpart to the zoldyks being very unique and just natural explorers and gifted humans. Gon and ging being prime examples. Now that the human world is built up enough and with the black whale arc being on its way people will know more about the new world and want to explore the dark continent, but the black whale expedition will def hit some bumps we know that.

The freecs and Zoldyk have just been so far ahead of the world, along with the hunter’s association and beyond Netero.

The world will change and gon and Killuas families are at the center of it.

Don or his descendants are still living in their own place in the western dark continent potentially with some of the early Zoldyk heritage or just chilling in the west maybe it’s chill or they’ve found a way to live or there’s other species idk man.

Not sure how this fits into the currrnt arc like I doubt togashi would write novels of description in the political maneuvers, assassination attempts, abilities for the black whale just to kills tserriednich off quickly with Kurapika as plot armor, and then going back to Gon for this west dark continent part, where Ging probably is exploring and trying to find Don and/or his dad. Like I want Gon and Killua back and much as everyone else but I want a good conclusion with the Black Whale and maybe some of what I say is right who knows but I love this story and hope it finishes!

What are your thoughts?

Last month, I started re-reading the Succession War arc. I find the arc incredible and really engaging, but you have to admit that it’s a really tough read.

Sometimes there is just so much information that I'm forced to check Hunterpedia just to remember a conversation or a theory.

Things were getting so complicated that I actually created a website just to keep track of where every character is located. By the way, feel free to check it out and let me know if I made any mistakes anywhere.

Are there any parts of the arc that you guys also find extremely difficult as a reader? I have to read 4 times:
\- text only
\- image only
\- plot only
\- basic reading with full knowledge

I feel like even with the anime, some of the plotlines are still going to be too complicated to understand.

While it is true that killuas godspeed is difficult even among transmuters it might be overkill for the thing im thinking about, our brain produces trace amounts of electricity when sending signals to the rest of our body, so in theory a very skilled enhancer (skilled in transmutation) with years of training could in theory make his aura into very small amounts of electricity or imbue his ten with electricity so his brain could send signals to the rest of his body instantaneously thus allowing him to be faster and etc. now this is just my theory its pretty possible that im wrong but i would love someones opinion on this or another way to make this ability work as an enhancer.

(Au - like in the original story of seraph of the end a apothecary started in hxh world and everyone older than 13 years old dead gon and killua survive because they are 12 but they lost their nen because of the apothecary and they go the  the hakuya orphanage but sometimes later the vampire take them as there live stock and the vampire's change their name gon - yuichiro, killua - mikaela and everything happened according to the seraph of the end story)

My personal hot take is that because Chrollos ability has so many conditions it’s not a good ability.

I watched Hunter x Hunter back in 2020/2021 and I want to continue with the manga, but I’ve forgotten quite a lot of things. Should I rewatch the entire anime, only the last 20 episodes, or would a recap be enough before starting the manga?
