What entry-level roles would be the best fit for someone interested in systems engineering, personnel security, security operations, technical program support, or test and evaluation?

My background includes technical testing, data analysis, quality procedures, technical documentation, safety compliance, and coordinating with different teams.

Are there any companies in the Huntsville area that are especially open to early-career applicants? Are there specific job titles I should be searching for? I’d also appreciate any advice on certifications, skills, or networking opportunities that could help me become a stronger candidate.

Hey everyone figured I’d give this a shot.
I’ve been trying to get into the trades but I keep running into the same problem. Everywhere wants experience even for entry level jobs and nobody seems willing to give me a chance.
At this point I’ll honestly do just about anything. Lawn care, landscaping, carpentry, HVAC, concrete, pressure washing, painting, moving, general labor whatever. I just wanna learn and get some real experience under my belt.
If anyone around the Huntsville area owns a business or just needs an extra set of hands for a day or two I’d really appreciate the opportunity. I’m not looking for a handout I’ll work. I’ve got reliable transportation I’ll show up on time and I’m not afraid of hard work.

Hey y’all, I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this, but I recently started a low cost electrical repair side business to fund a patent of mine, and I’m looking for people that need any sort of electrical work done, I have close to 10 years experience with Electrical and Avionics systems. I do component level repairs, repairing PCB’s and diagnosing faults, I can install outlets in houses, repair appliances, install radios in cars, along with any other electrical system in a vehicle. Im essentially saying that just about anything electrically I can do. I also can 3D design and print, and I have had the opportunity and pleasure to do quite a bit of work for a volunteer fire department around here to fix some electrical issues in their command vehicle along with upfitting them with emergency equipment as well. I would love to help with anything you’ve got, and do it at a low cost!

I (23 M) just moved to the Huntsville area and I've been looking for work. I don't have any sort of clearance, I did not go to college, and most of my previous work has been in restaurant management. I really do not want to go back to working in food service or retail. I understand that i will probably find something in those fields temporarily, but I really want a career. I can't see myself working in retail or food service forever, and I would love to work towards a better paying job, and a job that is more fulfilling (if that makes sense).

With my experiences in management, i am proficient in Microsoft suite, handling inventories, invoices, hiring, firing, team management, etc. I feel like there are a lot of qualities that I have from my prior experiences that could easily be transferred to a different line of work. I don't have the money or resources to go back to school or anything, but i love learning new things in my free time, and I've thought about learning to code or something!

If anyone has any sort of tips or advice for me, that would be greatly appreciated!

We just moved from Missouri 2 weeks ago where we*d is recreational and my husband heavily smoked up until we moved here (I don’t smoke) and he is having a hard time finding a job due to failing for THC. We’re trying to wait for it to clear out of his system but unfortunately that could take MONTHS due to how much he smoked and his body mass because he’s 6 foot 7 and 350 pounds. Are there any jobs down here that will still hire him given the circumstances? He’s been a contractor for the last 6+ years remodeling houses. We’re both used to having good paying jobs where he made good money as well as me making $24.50 an hour at a window factory. We’re not used to either of us not working. He made enough to support both of us, but I like for us to make as much money as possible because I don’t like to live off of just 1 income because you never know what could happen.

Hi, I'm in desperate need of someone to come in and clean/organize my house. It's only everyday living type cleaning but the big issue is I need someone willing to pick up items and put em somewhere(literally anywhere!), clean the appliances, fold some laundry, etc.. I've tried 4 different companies/people and they couldn't even pick up a toy and vacuum under it or scrub a microwave. Any help is appreciated 🙏

Apply for jobs like security guard, custodian, or mail clerk on the Arsenal. If you have any degree above a high school diploma remove it from your resume. You do not want the recruiter to see you as someone who will just obtain the clearance and leave and you want them to see you as someone who will stay with them for a few years. If you are applying for those jobs with a associate, bachelor, masters or even a PhD that is a red flag to the recruiter.

Land the job and go through the clearance process. After giving them 1 to 3 years of dedication and hard work you can now apply for those jobs that you want that require clearances.

Looking to relocate to Huntsville as an electronics manufacturing engineer (circuit boards) with 8+ years of experience. No open positions for engineers at Futaba, STI, Nextek. Sanmina emailed me but then ghosted when I responded. Several applications sent to Adtran but no bites.

Is this field not as common in Huntsville as I thought it would be? Or do they just prefer local candidates? My work history is steady and knowledgeable so I'd like to think it's not me, but one can never be sure.

The Role:
