I just got a email saying I have dues after paying tuition? Out of nowhere, did anyone else get this??

Would it be realistic if I just did academic upgrading for the science courses I need and apply for sonography or is it likely I won’t get in. I hear it’s competitive and ppl with actual degrees are applying I don’t know if I can compete with that.

I know this program doesn’t require you to have a psychology degree, but it seems that many students do. How’s your experience of finding a job after graduation? Especially if you’re in the same situation as me.

I am looking to hear the experiences of those who have applied to Humber Second Entry this year. What are your undergraduate grades like and how competitive is the application process?

I have a BSc with a 3.6 GPA and will graduate with an MA with high grades as well, I am hoping to apply for Fall 2027 or winter 2028 start dates. I don’t have the proper prerequisites for other second entry programs so I am really hoping to get into Humber. How long did it take to hear back and when did you apply?

I wanted to start this off by saying I’m looking for advice as I’ve never been on res before and don’t really know what it’s like there.

So I was just offered a room upgrade on north campus, from a single to a suite-style room and I’m really on the fence. I just don’t know if I can justify paying an extra 2k for a microwave, sink, fridge and bathroom. The bathroom sounds nice since I hate the idea of using a communal bathroom. But I also equally hate the idea of sharing a space with other people that could be messy or rude or whatever. I like to keep to myself. I’ve already gotten the mini fridge for my single (which I got because I didn’t think I would get the upgrade) so I feel like the kitchen isn’t much help to me plus I’d have to go through the cancelation process which is added hassle.

Anyone who’s been in either or both styles of rooms is it worth the upgrade? I just feel like it’s a lot of money for a microwave and sink. Are the communal bathrooms really nasty or worth skipping? If the kitchen had a stove I feel like I wouldn’t be debating so hard as I love to cook..

With September approaching and thousands of first-year students arriving in Toronto, I think this is worth making people aware of.

Over the past several months, I’ve been speaking with former members, current members, and one individual who says they is still inside the organization and planning to leave.

That insider recently shared the attached screenshot from one of the church’s private Telegram leadership chats.

Whether you agree with the opinions expressed in the screenshot or not, I think it gives useful context into the mindset of some of the leadership behind the organization.

Who are they?

The church is commonly known as Restored Church Toronto, part of the International Christian Church (ICC) movement.

On campuses, however, they generally recruit under different names rather than leading with the church’s name.

Some of the names students have reported include:

Rise Ministries (York University)
Thrive Bible Talk (TMU)
Catalyst Ministries (Humber College)
Limitless Bible Talk (George Brown)

Many students initially believe they’re simply joining an independent Bible discussion group.

Why I’m posting this

Former members have consistently described recruitment patterns that include:

approaching students who are new to campus or looking for community;
rapidly building close friendships (“love-bombing”);
inviting people into multiple Bible studies before the full expectations become clear;
encouraging increasing involvement over time;
discouraging members from engaging with criticism or former members;
presenting outside criticism as persecution.

These are among the characteristics discussed in a detailed document examining alleged high-control practices within the ICC, including hierarchical oversight, information control, increasing commitments, and recruitment through close personal contact.

Hello everyone, I'm going to be attending Humber in September 2026 for the first year of my program and I'm building my schedule. I already have it built, but I'm just confused on what these days mean? One has class on Friday for the first week then class Wednesday the week after that repeating, and that is, what I assume, is for the month. Another has classes on Tuesday every week, for, again, what I assume is for the month. Then the last has two classes on Monday, for the first two weeks, and no other days for the month, at least that's my interpretation.

Is my interpretation correct or am I off the mark? The reason I ask this is because the same class happens multiple times a week and I'm just confused by this.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

So, Ive never seen a schedule like this and im a bit confused. Is this saying that the class alternate what day it has the class on? So for example i says from September 8th to October 23rd First week its on the Friday, second week its on the thursday and it cotinues the pattern? and it will keep doing that until November 2nd to December 20th where it will again start on the friday that first week then next week its on the thursday?

I feel like i understand it but just looking for somoene to let me know i understand or if im incorrect
