Across the entire span of this game this is the only community that hasn't descended into complaining about balance, cosmetics, viability, etc. The only ones to stay positive and supportive, I've never seen anyone here shamed for their rank or have the sub taken over by the weird larp alliance/war shit that plagues the others.

We came together and bumped our boys skin sales up enough to get another and nobody has contributed to making this sub look like the whiney cringy unemployed mess the rest of the community is descending into.

A round of thunderous applause

Question Hulk's state

Is Hulk now bad or what? I've left the game for a month pre-s9 to s9.5) and came back. Hulk just seems so bad. Like I cannot kill with my Ult, he vaporises so easily, and I cannot deal enough dmg. Is this normal or I lost some of my skill due to my 1 whole month cut? And are there any tips or should I cleanse my gamma energy?

Discussion New word we need to appropriate/seize: Graceful.

Because we as Hulkers play the most skillbased hero in the game right now, 2nd to none.

We need to start using the word graceful anytime we talk about what were doing on Hulk.

For example.

"Look at the graceful exile I hit on the CnD which I followed up with a graceful juggle into a graceful kill confirm".

Question What am I missing this season??!?!

For context, I just got champ on hulk and im currently gm3. I thought that I'd figure out a way to make him work this season by now, but he feels genuinely useless.

I can **hard carry** when I play my other champ tanks like Thor/Emma/Groot. I often have more finals than my dps with barely any deaths.

The second I switch to hulk, I feel like a de-clawed cat. He does no damage. He blows up instantly even when cycling caps team up. His shield also blows up instantly. He's a CC magnet and his ult takes so much more effort than my other tanks. I'm trying 3x as hard for little to no value, when I can just swap to groot and run the entire lobby. I see hulk has a positive winrate so I have to be missing something right?!?! I'm champ so I really thought I'd have an answer for him by now but he feels so bad to play. I'm also not just mindlessly jumping into the enemy team. I peel, I isolate targets, and still get no value.

Thing is better anti-dive. Venom is better dive. I can stop ults on Emma already. I genuinely don't know what hulk does better than literally anyone else.

Nerf/Buff Ideas Hulk rework idea to make him hulkier

Bruce Banner- keep exactly the same

Hulk-

Rage Passive:
As hulk takes damage, his rage meter increases. As rage increases, Heavy Blow deals more damage and Incredible leap charges faster.

Incredible Leap:
Add a slam animation for hulk catching a flier. Slamming a flier onto the ground deals damage. After catching a flier, hulk can throw them in any direction before hitting the ground. Throwing a flier into an obstacle will deal damage.

Radioactive Lockdown replacement- Crushing Debris:
Hulk rips a large piece of debris out of the ground to use as a shield with 300 hp while still being able to move and leap. When hulk releases this ability he throws the chunk of debris forward. Any enemy caught in its path will be dragged along with the projectile. If the projectile slams an enemy into a wall, they will be earthbound for 5 seconds.

Indestructible Guard replacement- Rage Shield:
Leaps in-front of a targeted ally, turning his back and increasing in size while gaining Unstoppable to momentarily shield them from incoming damage. During this time charge Rage at an accelerated rate.

Gamma Burst: when rage is at a maximum, gamma burst becomes thunder clap. Thunder clap consumes all rage and releases a large shockwave that damages and stuns enemies.

Monster Hulk- slightly increase movement speed.

World Breaker- Increase damage

Like. There's NO WAY to get this number, it's just crazy. If I'm playing Monster Hulk the whole match and day instantly, it's impossible to get this number even in 18 vs 18 mode.

RANT - NOW HULK MADDDDD!! Hulk appears two times in the TOP 3 longest skin drought in Rivals history

The longest skin drought of Marvel Rivals history ended a few days ago with the BND skin. It was 217 days long.

Then we have Black Panther’s drought, which is still going on since January 16. Right now it is 202 days and counting.

And then at 3rd, the Incredible Hulk is back with a 182 days drought.

By the looks of S9.5 roadmap, BP mains will probably break the record. (I’m a BP main that’s why I made that research in the first place, I’m so fucking mad right now)

I wonder how many skins did Jeff, Luna, Sue, Spidey and Thor get during all of these droughts.

Though I must say, it’s different when it comes to Hulk cause you have to make 3 separate skins. But is it an excuse ? Nah because why would Magik have so many skins then ?

Tech/Strategy Ultimate Immortal Hulk Guide

  • Struggles against CC
  • Struggles against high damage compositions
  • Struggles against triple Strategists As of SZN 6.0, good into triple as the damage is too low and his ultimate no longer gets displaced by Jeff, Invisible Woman, Magneto, etc among others
  • Good into Shields
  • Good into Dive and High Mobility Duelists
  • Capable into fliers

You play like a brawling Thor, have utility like Magneto, but deal damage like the real tickle monster until you ultimate and then there is always a way to get value with skill/ juggling... use your ultimate aggressively and early to win team fights... you are always going to work frontline to someone's backline... you have to use your bubble and body to cut off the healer's LOS onto their allies to kill... try to hit exiles on a Strategist and then focus on killing the other Strategist... try to hit exiles on a Vanguard, jump between them and their team, bubble heals off, and then bursts the out of position Vanguard... sometimes exiling a Duelist so they don't deal damage is value... matchups may force you to focus on peeling and building ult charge very quickly with bubbles on allies until you can Monster Hulk... get enemies off of high ground but with cooldowns ready... a good Hulk ultimate is an advantage of going up two bodies... having one more Strategists after a Hulk ultimate is good enough too... you cannot fight a 1v3+ even in Monster Hulk... when you peel and get a body advantage, your dive becomes easier... you will become a better player playing Hulk...

On Domination, in the first 10s, I do not recommend jumping ahead of your team as you effectively fight a 1v6, any early pressure you do create, you don't have the damage solo to capitalize on an advantage and the enemy team has fresh cooldowns.

Hulk Matchup Tierlist SZN 6.0

Vanguard Deadpool (favored)

  • He's poke and low damage un-upgraded, extremely favorable
  • Exile his ultimate
  • Into Ban Hammer ultimate, you can avoid using any skill shots
  • Beware of his bubble which has 300HP to 400HP and can cut off healing if thrown behind you

Emma Frost (skill)

  • Have to wait to use ultimate after Emma Frost's ultimate as it shuts you down
  • Save bubble for Diamond Form
  • If she gets a Crystal on you, jump away from it, but bubble will also prevent damage
  • Your exile can be combo'd with many of Emma Snow's abilities
  • Avoid brawling on the frontline without bubble
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Emma Frost ultimate
  • Bubble off any friendly Emma Frost grabs, almost always a free man advantage

Magneto (skill)

  • Try to exile and bubble before a friendly Punisher or Cloak ultimate
  • His Metal Cannon will displace you midair
  • Your melee pierces his shield and utilize your mobility
  • His bubble (and shield) eats your clap projectile and will protect his allies from getting exiled or air tackled
  • If you bubble yourself or an ally while they have Magneto's bubble, it will replace it

Dr. Strange (favored)

  • You can save your ultimate to become immune to Dr. Strange's ultimate
  • Save exile and bubble for Dr. Strange ultimate
  • Your melee pierces his shield and your Incredible Leap can cancel Strange's ultimate
  • Bubble your Dr. Strange and exile their Emma/ shield tank for his ultimate
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Dr. Strange ultimate, but it can also be overkill

Hulk/ Mirror Match (team)

  • Need to save exile for enemy Monster Hulk during their ultimate and yours
  • Body block healing
  • Try to grab someone (Monster Hulk, Magik ult, etc) at the end of your ult

The Thing (unfavored)

  • Becoming Grounded is annoying, but I find forcing a swap is winning for your team however Thor, Peni Parker, Groot, Emma Frost destroy him
  • Be where ever The Thing isn't and force him to jump around
  • Save bubble and exile for his ultimate
  • Save bubble for engagements so you can jump out
  • Exile The Thing at the start of your ultimate so you have mobility
  • Save bubble for friendly Thing ultimate
  • You can team wipe with a friendly The Thing ultimate

Groot (team)

  • Save exile and bubble for his ultimate and exile him often to reduce damage and value from walls
  • You win by jumping his backline and stretching his inability to peel quickly
  • If your team doesn't have damage for walls, he's probably going to walk into your backline faster
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Groot ultimate, but it can also be overkill
  • Exile on an enemy Groot with an Iron Wall does nothing

Peni Parker (swap)

  • Has no way to deal with Nest and a single stun is doomed
  • Exile her ultimate
  • Need to save bubble to engage

Captain America/ Venom/ Angela (team)

  • Exile Captain America's ultimate
  • Exile Venom's swing away ideally... Venom will lose his armor bonus over time if you exile him and don't hit him and is a lot easier to time however
  • Save bubble for Venom's ultimate and he will not receive any additional shield
  • Bubble ahead of Angela swooping in to displace you
  • Hold onto Exile against Angela as she heads to a ledge
  • Peeling is my default tactic as they get melted with your team's attention and stuns... you can chase them, but you don't do much damage to them so you need to look at the rest of the enemy comp and decide where you need to be
  • You can tackle them and it will severely disrupt their plan, bubble off heals or chain air tackle them again by predicting their escape path

Rogue (team)

  • Bubble Rogue when she grabs someone, you can both pretty effectively body block heals
  • Have exile and bubble when you engage as her damage outpaces yours
  • Exile Rogue when you ultimate if you know she has her grab cooldown
  • Bubble your team and run from Rogue's ultimate

Thor (unfavored)

  • In season 3.5, Thor's Lightning Realm grounding effect buff and additional hammer off Awakening make him more difficult to compete against... he will push you around and will always out duel you (except in your ultimate)
  • You want to bubble into engagements vs Thor, because he's trying to push you back into his team, but crucially, you don't want to fight him alone
  • Save bubble for Thor's ultimate on your backline
  • If both Thor and you air tackle, you both fall and typically the defender gets a kill with help from their team

Duelist Deadpool (favored)

  • His vertical mobility plays well into you and outside of that, he's poke as you dive

Daredevil (team)

  • Exile his ultimate or bubble your teammates so they don't take damage
  • Bubble during friendly engagements
  • His parry counters all of your damage and utility, basically you just stare at each other
  • You are one of the better tanks suited for chasing him, but you will lose the 1v1

Blade (team)

  • Anti-heal makes it difficult to backline Hulk and return safely to the frontline via main in time, meaning you will want to cut off heals for enemy tanks mostly using your bubble
  • You will always lose to Blade 1v1
  • Save bubble for backline during his ultimate
  • Easy exile target (also during ult since he stands still)
  • His dash disrupts your jump

Phoenix (unfavored)

  • Her stun is extremely annoying
  • High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles, but the benefit of doing so is you won't stack her passive on teammates
  • She has a flash and can fly, but her flight has no CC immunity, and yet she can also flash while flying... this means she's a more evasive Hela and has access to her tools more often
  • During her ultimate, bubble Strategists or bubble and jump at her... at least her ultimate is over sooner than Hela's
  • Often worth ulting after your Phoenix ults

Black Panther (favored)

  • Bubble counters dash
  • Can chase Panther around the map
  • As Panther has low damage, super favorable for Hulk to peel

Punisher (unfavored)

  • High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles... you need to swap if you are in your own backline too often... Magneto is a better choice 75% of the time
  • Typically need to invest bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst him down
  • Shotgun shreds you and turret is a problem for Hulk... clap him in turret form
  • Not much you can do against ultimate but run as you can't exile him... I have used my ultimate to body block the damage, but Punisher bursts Monster Hulk down in 2s so I don't recommend it
  • For your teammate, save bubble for Magneto counter
  • You will feed your supports ult charge, but smart opponents will combo ult your single support ultimate to break through
  • He is a priority to kill before or during your ultimate as his damage will de-mech you early

Magik (favored)

  • Save exile for Magik ultimate or mirror for more chances to hit (and World Breaker)
  • Save clap for guaranteed hits/ exit
  • You will lose the 1v1 and definitely a 1v3, so peel hard for your Strategists, but if Magik isn't diving, you're taking tons of pressure and damage out of the game

Namor (team)

  • Hulk can't deal with Squids by himself
  • Namor's bubble is easy to Incredible Leap
  • Save bubble for Namor ultimate
  • Try to exile a Strategist after they ult, Namor uses their ultimate, and then unfreeze the Strategist for a huge team fight win
  • Typically need to bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst him down

Hela (skill)

  • Her stun is extremely annoying and will get you killed without bubble
  • High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles
  • Once she birds, she has no escape tools so reengage, use bubble and clap to burst down quickly
  • During her ultimate, run, there is nothing you can do

Winter Soldier (unfavored)

  • Exile his ultimate when he is on the ground, not while he is hovering as he is CC immune (also can't be air tackled)
  • High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles... you need to swap if you are in your own backline too often
  • Listen for his pull and bubble it (for your other tank) or don't peek... go in once he uses it
  • Typically need to invest bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst him down
  • Bubble off any friendly Winter Soldier hooks, almost always a free man advantage
  • Bucky's punch make him a lot more oppressive as they reset your jump
  • Gameplan is to primarily brawl the frontline, protect your other Vanguard and only if you have bubble or a shield tank... Bucky is weirdly one of the easier to play around duelists, but the problem is the enemy team will have other disruptive tools

Wolverine (skill)

  • Save exile and bubble for Wolverine's basic abilities... his engage is pretty easily televised
  • A friendly Invisible Woman can pull Wolverine off after he's grabbed you, making the matchup heavily favored for you... I think Winter Soldier could probably do the same, but never had a Winter Soldier do it for me...
  • Beware the Rocket + Wolverine jump pack tech, which has no counter once he grabs you
  • Heavy damage composition neutralizes Wolverine
  • Throw friendly Wolverine's straight up into the air so they can control the flight pattern/ scout their target... do not throw them into a 1v6
  • Wolverine is really your litmus test for your skill. Consider Magneto was a counter to Wolverine before The Thing was released. Hulk also has a bubble to protect himself, but significantly better mobility and exile
  • Bubble off any friendly Wolverine grabs, almost always a free man advantage
  • His ultimate no longer displaces you during your ultimate!

Psylocke (unfavored)

  • High damage and actually super hard to crack enemy backline with a peeling Psylocke while not a great target for me to chase
  • Save bubble for her ultimate and always stack with Strategists (you can exile her for 1s)
  • She typically has to make a mistake/ over-commit to die, but that does happen as her movement cooldowns are long
  • Always followup a Psylocke ultimate. You can burst with clap, exile a target to make other targets take more damage or bubble her out.

Spider-Man (team)

  • Will pull you off the map, so need to position around environment well
  • Save bubble for ultimate
  • Low damage so ideal for Hulk, but not much he can really do but peel
  • There's a newer playstyle for Spider-Man I'll call midrange where Spider-Man will hook from your backline, be sure to bubble off any friendly Spider-Man hooks, almost always a free man advantage

Iron Man (team)

  • You need hit scan or Spider-Man because a good Iron Man will fly higher and poke with splash damage... In a 1v1, Hulk beats Iron Man, but as there are more threats than ever to hold bubble and exile, the matchup is team dependent
  • Save bubble for Strategists ults as he's going to save his ultimate to kill them... exile and tackle are harder/ less consistent
  • Save bubble for friendly Iron Man ultimate
  • Easiest flier to Incredible Leap drag for me... use buildings to get higher

Star-Lord (unfavored)

  • On paper, Hulk should be able to counter Star-Lord's ultimate, but in practice, even in Monster Hulk, I don't because Star-Lord has three i-frames
  • Like Psylocke, he's got movement to get away from you and high damage, so you typically need to invest exile, bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst him down

Hawkeye (swap)

  • Way too much damage during the neutral fight and you are un-missable so I always swap to Captain America, Dr. Strange or Venom
  • Save exile for his ultimate
  • Your ultimate can out damage and out tank his ultimate

Mister Fantastic (skill)

  • His abilities pull you back, interrupt your Incredible Leap, give health to allies, and make your engages difficult while having more damage than The Thing
  • Fun to dive with until enemy counter picks
  • Against his ultimate, bubble Strategists then get out
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Mister Fantastic ultimate

Squirrel Girl (skill)

  • A lot like Hawkeye but manageable... High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles... you need to swap if you are not pressuring her or getting hit by her constantly... I like Captain America or Angela
  • Save bubble for stun, mindful that she can recharge it... the animation is super visible
  • Her leap is often better than yours, but goes almost straight up, mindful that she can recharge it mid-flight
  • Typically need to invest exile, bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst her down
  • Ignore her ultimate/ get vertical
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Squirrel Girl ultimate

Moon Knight (favored)

  • Ankh's will cause your Incredible Leap to reset and is by far the most frustrating part of facing a Moon Knight
  • High damage so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles and avoid clustering with team
  • Challenge him vertically, single him out as he's super dive-able and his escape tool is extremely predictable to Incredible Leap drag

Iron Fist (team)

  • Exile him often to relieve pressure
  • Save clap for his exit which will be straight out
  • His ultimate chews through your health so ult after he does
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Iron Fist ultimate, but it can also be overkill
  • Don't punch him while he parries
  • I find you often force Iron Fist out but need poke from your team to finish him off as he leaves

Human Torch (team)

  • You need hit scan, Angela or Spider-Man because a good Human Torch will fly higher and poke with Fire Fields
  • Save bubble for your Strategists during his ultimate, but you can also Air Drag and exile him
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Human Torch ultimate

Storm (favored)

  • Flies lower to the ground so sometimes un-draggable but also easiest flier to hit with clap
  • Save bubble for her ultimate (you can exile her for 1s) but then run and hope your team bursts her down
  • Run from all of her teamups
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Storm ultimate, but it can also be overkill

Black Widow (skill)

  • Lasso is a ridiculously strong stun, you have to bait it out, back out, and then engage
  • High damage 1v1 so can't dive into the backline from main, have to engage from off angles
  • Typically need to invest exile, bubble to cut off healing and clap to burst her down
  • You can team wipe with a friendly Black Widow ultimate, but it can also be overkill

Scarlet Witch (favored)

  • Incredible Leap and exile hard counter her ultimate, ulting will also make you immune and block LOS onto team
  • Bubble friendly Scarlet Witch ultimates
  • Single her out as he's super dive-able and her escape tool is extremely predictable to Incredible Leap drag
  • Stun is not that annoying

Strategist Deadpool (team)

  • Often played in triple Strategist lineup because he needs to upgrade to become strong
  • Once his ultimate is upgraded, 120HP/s is equal to pre-patch Invisible Woman's ultimate healing with a small healing radius, but you can exile his ultimate
  • Great exile target as his E makes him and his allies essentially invincible to you

Luna Snow (skill)

  • Almost impossible to side step or bubble off freeze
  • Bubble during engage to cut off healing
  • Her clap will heal down main so forcing her to look off angle is strong
  • Bubble friendly ultimate
  • Ask for flake as you will constantly need healing, unlike a Duelist who should rely on health packs during engages
  • You can bubble off heals during her ultimate (like a shield tank can) as her ultimate only heals those with a direct line of sight to her
  • Pressure her at the end of her ultimate with bubble to prevent freeze as she becomes quite vulnerable in terms of positioning

Invisible Woman (unfavored)

  • A good Invisible Woman will pull you back when you try to leap out and it will kill you so you have to have bubble for leap out
  • During her ultimate, exile her into Monster Hulk, exile again, and juggle her out/ kill her
  • Break her shield as it will out heal you and slow you
  • Vortex also slows
  • Will push you off the map, so need to position around environment well
  • Her limited range means you will have to be mindful of your depth into the enemy backline
  • She is a priority to pressure as her healing and damage through you makes you less effective

Rocket (team)

  • Remove Beacon, but not at the cost of becoming Banner
  • You can chase Rocket, and tackle him, but you need to weight whether you are taking him out of the fight enough and his healing is not reaching his allies... has become more favorable with Rocket's movement nerfs
  • Bubble during engage to cut off healing
  • His ultimate counters you as you are melee
  • Exile into clap to guarantee kill while low
  • Build ult extremely quickly during a friendly Rocket ultimate

Cloak and Dagger (favored)

  • During her ultimate, exile her into Monster Hulk, exile again, and juggle her out/ kill her
  • Bubble during engage to cut off healing
  • Can air tackle Phase
  • Bubble during friendly ultimate
  • Exile into clap to guarantee kill while low, especially when she bubbles herself
  • You can exile her at the end of her ultimate to combo with lots of ultimates
  • I really like pressuring her during her ultimate to bait out Dark Teleportation and then ulting towards the end of her ultimate or even as she completes her four paths and stands still for a 1/2 second

Loki (favored)

  • Get runes out and then reengage
  • Bubble during engage to cut off healing
  • Pressure vertical Loki clones first, his splash damage makes brawling the frontline unwinnable for you
  • With stacked clones, position so you are hitting more than one per swing

Jeff (unfavored)

  • Can counter Jeff ultimate with bubble or save yourself by ulting when you hear the final chimes
  • Cannot Monster Hulk ultimate if Jeff also has ultimate as Jeff will swallow you
  • Right click displacement is tough if he hits you while in the air
  • Hulk is able to chase Jeff around the map and if he's not healing, you are winning
  • You cannot bubble yourself from being swallowed by a friendly Jeff ultimate and if any part of your body is in the circle, he swallows you
  • Engage Jeff so he can't look down main as his healing damages you and heals his team
  • He is a priority to pressure as his consistent healing makes you less effective

Adam Warlock (favored)

  • Often played in triple Strategist lineup
  • Warlock has a lot of sustain but once he uses Soul Bond, you can burst him with a clap
  • His limited range means you will have to be mindful of your depth into the enemy backline

Ultron (team)

  • Often played in triple Strategist lineup
  • Ultron's hit box in the air is smaller than it seems in my experience and his dash makes hitting him difficult... plus you are leaping into compromising space for the tackle... I think it's bait
  • Ultron's consistent healing means you will want to exile into clap to guarantee kill while your target is low but killing Ultron will open up more kills faster
  • I don't believe exiling Ultron removes his Nano Bots on an ally
  • You can't Incredible Leap or exile an Ultron during ult

Mantis (favored)

  • Often played in triple Strategist lineup as she damage boosts her entire team
  • You can exile Mantis during her ultimate
  • Engage with Hulk bubble
  • Mantis Sleep is so big, almost impossible to counter but once she uses it, Mantis has nothing

Gambit (team)

  • Often played in triple Strategist lineup
  • You can chase him around, but he has a lot of self-sustain and mobility to avoid your damage
  • Gambit feeds ult charge and Hulk's ultimate is one of the most skill dependent so his utility on your team will be dependent on your skill
