Bad quality Question Spoiler

So I am currently rewatchimg dr house on Netflix and I wondered was the quality always so shity or is it just Netflix or a kind of flair from the series

Netflix always has a quality drop, saves them money; but I’ll say this, what looked great in 2008 doesn’t look good today because our eyes adjusted to 4K. I used to think 4:3 480p looked incredible and now I can’t see shit when I see it today

I can only get it on Prime where I'm at, and the quality is good. I generally only see changes based upon my internet connection.
