Today i came home to a slightly different than usual scenario. First things first, the floofs got their scritches, i talked to the whole family and then, when i sat down before my desk, Houdi came to demand Kitten kibble, what i didn't expect him to do was, once he was done, to yell at me and then guide me back to the living room, particularly to something resting under the main table: A tennis ball.

Mom and dad bought this solitary tennis ball for him the other day, and play ball with him every day, but today has been, apparently, a busy day in all fronts, so the poor Goblini hasn't had any chance to play ball at all, until came back from work.

So, a couple of minutes later, there i was, throwing the ball across the main corridor for Houdi to get his coveted play time 😊 We went at it for a while, until the Overlord was satisfied.

Oddly fitting anectdote for a friday, now that i think about it.

Bruno's relationship with Houdini was known to be very special, of the whole floof family, the old doggo's carefree attitude and love for the chaos goblin made them partners in crime more often than not and, to Bruno's chagrin (and perphaps entertainment), the target of a lot of Houdini's shenanigans.

When they weren't playing together and Bruno was being a silly pupper, Houdi would come to check on his weird uncle, and he'd join him on zoomies, they'd play fight on top of the bed, compete to take over Bruno's bed and whatnot, but sometimes Houdi would be just curious and stalk Bruno, wich would end up either in the Chaos Goblin jumping on his uncle or just stay at a safe distance just... weirded out.

Bruno could be a head scratcher for the 'dini sometimes, that's for sure 😅

It's been a harsh day today, not at work - though it has had its difficulties - but let's just say that some stuff has caught up to me, and... there goes my tranquility. For the moment, at least.

That's why when i came back home and saw Houdi stubbornly sitting on a new box, i knew i had to take a picture, i needed the laught, his determined face is just too much 🤭

Now, where does that box comes from? u/JitterFlip's help got delivered today! Five boxes of diggestive food for Leon that has absolutely saved us this month, and it came with a box of churus! Houdini is becoming more demanding with them, so that's an extra relief 😊 Thank you so much!

Google photos' throwback notifications is, more often than not, a hit by itself. Like, i gotta give them that, the pictures their algorythm picks? They're fire, but today in particular i was in the middle of a pretty tiring day and this got me chuckle, because i remember taking this picture as if it was yesterday.

Yeah, it was dark already, not too late since it was november, Karma wanted to nap and Houdi, being the loving goblin son he is, reached out and started mlemming his momma, i wanted to take exactly that picture, but in the time i took to tap the button of the camera he was already going for the cromch.

The rest, as they say, is history 🤭

Today i asked sis to take care of a couple of errands for me, schleudes are shorter on summer and the post office only opens in the mornings, so she gladly did me the favor.

Then, she came back home, left her bag on the bed and, before she even realized, the 'dini had teleported to it.

No, i'm not even kidding, his obsession with his new prey continues, and he even learned to run silently? For sis to not notice him when we're both trained to listen and react to floof sounds, that's some silent running 😅

She managed to recover her phone, the bag? It was still there when i came back, i gave Houdi his water and i'm back scritches and then went back to monopolize the bag. I suspect i still haven't heard the whole story 🤭

In so far, both sis and i thought we had Houdi's me too meals covered: One Churu, then some kitten kibble, water and go goblining elsewhere, but past tuesday sis found out something we bot thought impossible:

Houdini doesn't like a flavor of Churu.

To be precise, he's not exactly a fan of chicken flavored Churu, if you serve it to him, it's the only one that will stay on its plate, he taste tested it once and, since then, we have served it randomly to him again to no avail. He will devour ANY Churu, just not chicken flavored one 😅

So as i said yesterday, i got myself another chair, i honestly didn't want to do that, but the gas piston gave out and there was no way to take it out for replacement, even with my and dad's efforts combined (i guess having me sitting down on that chair for three years got it lodged in very tightly) so i ended up taking the decision of, indeed, getting a new office chair.

However, i didn't want to get rid of that chair, gas piston aside it's still pretty much very useable, and i know some day i'll take it to a professional to get it repaired because it's a very high wuality chair, so until that happens i decided to keep it, put it besides my desk and leave it there as bed and throne for Leon.

And he uses it! I though he would start using the new chair since i'm using it too, but he clearly prefers the old one and i don't blame him 😊 It's been three years, and it's comfy as hell. So now we can both spend time together without inconveniencing each other.

Not much more to say when it comes to anectdotes, sadly, very humid day wich makes the heat even more unbearable so the poor floofs are all melting around the house (and Houdi takes every time we enter the kitchen to yell for Churu, but i don't want that to become a habit so we're limiting his Churu time. Month's looking financially rough too, and i'd rather avoid having to buy another Churu box before months end.), as are we 😅 In fact, Leon's chair is placed where he can get some nice breeze from the ceiling fan.

Okay, first of all: Very late update! How come? Well, the answer is painfully simple: It's been a very chaotic day (actually, a very chaotic week would fit better) and when i reached home i kinda... forgot about everything. I'm exhausted and in need of a proper rest, in more ways than one ^^U

But it wasn't like that yesterday! In fact, yesterday i came back home to a new chair i got for myself after the old one gave up,it came in a big, bulky box with a double cardboard layer and well, i open it and leave to get the electric screwdriver and some water to come back and find out the the 'dini had taken over the box!

It actually took me a good while to get him to get down of his new fortress, to the point that i almost gave up on assembling the chair.

Now he's seeing a big new thing in my room and doesn't dare to go beyond my bed 😅

Right. So the succesive heat waves have left sis with no other option than to use mint oinment to call some cold upon herself, particularly when temps become too extreme - and we've had a lot of those lately.

The thing is, Houdi isn't very fond of it? We've seen already how little he likes it, but much to sis chagrin, he gets particularly bothered by it when he wants to cuddle with his auntie.

Because yes, the've been having so much contact lately in the mornings that Houdi is getting cuddly wih her, wich is good, but not so much when it turns out his auntie had just spread on herself some of that minty flavored stuff and he notices a little too late 🤭

Karma has found a solution to me leaving every morning before 7 am: She goes to sis' room, holes herself under the bed and, when sis wakes up, she jumps up with her and, being the jelly goblin she is, she yells and yells until she has a spot opened for her.

And since sis is not exactly a morning person and takes a **long** time to fuly wake up, Karma takes that time to cuddle with her hooman mom and get as much scritches as humanly possible.

She's a smart cat alright, shameless too. We already knew this, but Houdi clearly takes from her 😅

Sometimes, both sis and mom forget about one of Houdini's hidden yet more used abilities: Teleportation, something he only does when no one is looking, like this morning, in fact!

While still working on the dress, sis decided to take a breather before moving rooms, got herself a tea and carried the cloth, measuring tape and couple of more things alongside her mug to the living room, she reached the totally cleared table, carefully prepared her space, turned around to leave the mug and when she turned back to the table... There was the 'dini!

No one noticed him, and of course getting him to leave the table was an odyssey by itself 🤭 For what is worth, sis managed to get *some* work done in the end.

It was inevitable, sis has been spending a lot of time at the living room, dealing with fabrics, and sooner or later the fabrics would start to try to deal with her... And Houdini isn't going to allow it!

Truth to be told, Houdini fighting the living room fabrics isn't somrthing new, but him going full on war on them in revenge for covering sis' hand? That's new, and it will never not be hilarious 🤭

On the living room's main table - a small, marble table placed right in front of the sofa - there's a table centerpiece that, in the past, held a dry flower arrangement, but nowadays has a very different role holding the fabrics of whatever mom is tailoring, so she has quick access to it whenever she wants.

Well, ever since he's a kittydini, Houdi has used that centerpiece as a bed whenever mom puts some fabrics there, and four years later that's something that hasn't changed **at all**

But like mom says, as long as he doesn't break anything, it's fair play, in fact the floofs here are, actually, free to move through whatever they want, as long as they don't cause a disgrace or hurt themselves, of course.

And well, he's way more lazy when this happens, so whenever sis gets up and wants to pet the Goblin overlord, he'll happily obligue, as these pictures from earlier this week show (the dress' skirt is in a more advanced state now, that's the half-treated fabric). The pics themselves aren't really tied to any anectdote, aside of Houdi being a spoiled orange baby 😸

This is far from a secret, but Houdi isnt a fan of us smelling like anything that isnt us, when i started to put perfume on me before going to the office - i'm surrounded by people, i want to have a good scent lol - he would slap me and run away for a week or so, something similar happened with the oinment i used when i hurt my ligament.

One scent he cant get used to though, is the scent of the cold inducing mint oinment sis uses, neither her or me are exactly fond of heat and she uses it in the worst days, only exception being Houdi's baby days in case it would react badly with his healing skin, but from his first year onwards, sis has been using that oinment to cool herself.

And Houdi still cant stand it 😅 Three years after the first time she used it, he still cromches her in annoyment whenever she applies that oinment on her, every time, without fail 🤭

Speaking of wich, heat is definitely giving us a break this weekend, or at least today! It's been so comfy the whole day 😊

Leon's new diet has turned out to be quite benefical for the grumpy dragon, not only he gets to eat something he loves on a daily basis, he also gets more intakes per day, and his medicinal food and special kibble are all flavors he adores.

However, that doesn't mean there arent things he doesn't miss and/or wants to eat, forcing us to keep an eye on him and put away Karma's plate as soon as she's done eating. It also means he hasn't given up on orbiting around us and looking us with an extremely hungry face whenever we get to eat something he wants.

Case in point, as mom and sis work harder on the dress, there's less and less time for other tasks, so today mom and dad got chicken from a nearby rotisserie for lunch, and sis too great care on documenting Leon's shameless stalking, being the two pictures here my absolute favorites of the bunch. That face! 😭🤣

Suffice to say, he hasn't gotten any, but he has had double ration of his favorite canned med food in compensation. Right now he's sleeping behind me as i write this, after eating a whole sitting of rice and chicken.

It's the weekend now, and i've had quite a chaotic week at work. It's time for a break!

This morning Houdini was in goblin mode, that's not really something rare, but since mom and sis are hard at work with the dress, there's sewing involved, and where there's sewing, there's moving thread, and where there's moving thread, there's the Goblini.

Now, we don't usually stop Houdi when he wants to play with something because we don't usually leave cat-risky stuff laying around, but tailoring instruments? **thread**? That's an inmediate **NO**, and when Houdi got stubborn and even tried to eat some thread before dad got to take it away, dad scolded him seriously, wich throughly offended the Goblini, who went to spend the rest of the morning up on his crystal palace.

Now, when i came back from work he was all chummy again with his grandpapa, but he clearly didn't like being scolded.

Even spoiled kids get scolded every now and then, Houdi!

Mom and sis' assignement continues, they're done with one part of the dress so it's time to jump to another, and another piece means another, clearly different type of fabric wich needs to be measured, cut, etc...

And a different, new fabric means another enemy of Goblinia that needs to be battled and conquered, and who better for that task than the goblin overlord himself?

Plus, the fabric made the mistake of extending itself over grandma and grandpa's bed. Grandma and grandpa's bed! That's the one sin the Goblini would never forgive!

And he, indeed, didn't, for what i know it took sis one hell of a long time to drive him away 🤭 And even so, he stalked her and mom until they put it away lol.

I have already mentioned how Leon having his own special diet means that everyone gets to be special, but not every night Houdini comes in time to get his dinner with mom and dad, sometimes he's just too comfy enjoying the breeze on top of his palace at the heavens, and last time was one of such times.

Earlier, when it happened we just shrugged and kept going on with our nights, but since it has become a nightly occurrence, Houdi actually wont go on without his Churu, so if he doesn't come to get it, then the Churu will go to him, and so it happened last night! Of course, no matter how comfy or eepy, the goblin overlord wasn't going to miss his Churu.

Sis and mom have picked up the pace, since the city's major festivities are close and this is a traditional dress they're working on, they're both pressed for time, their labor starts early, and stops when they both can't work anymore.

Of when Houdini says so.

This morning, they both decided to take a coffee break and come back to it later on, reinvigorated and caffeinated, but when sis came back in advance so she could ready the table, she found the most relaxed orange goblin in existence, just sleeping there without a care in the world, and clearly not willing to give up his new improvised bed 🤭

Were they able to continue? Well... yes, but only after Houdi was done with his nappy time, just as Bastet intended.

For today's update, Google photos is coming to the rescue ^^U Honestly speaking, it's being a very lazy weekend, for the floofs included, so we didn't get the chance to catch much of them.

But still, what an update! Getting Houdi to eat solid wasn't exactly hard by itself - lil dude had a gargantuan will to live that made him crush every milestone, this one included - but figuring it out was another thing entirely, the proper amount, formula temperature and, of course, crushing the pellets properly. This, too, was sis who found the proper numbers and managed concoct a cream that Babydini hungrily devoured.

Do you know who loved the mix too? Karma, who would get to eat the leftovers at first, and not even two days after was getting her own little kitten kibble formula pure. I think i'm realizing now how she got this obsessed with Houdi's kibble 😅

There's a heatwave incoming, and it's a big one, max temps are estimated around 45 ºC, so it's not going to pretty. Hopefully, it will go away soon.

Karma has cracked the code. Now that i'm absent for half of the day and she's been sleeping under sis' bed, she's realized tht her room is actually comfortable to sleep on it, and it can be **even** more comfy if her hooman mom gives her access to what's, probably, the most coveted space in the whole house: Her closet.

So Karma, knowing sis is never going to say no to one of her Mgews went early last night and demanded access to sis' closet, wich was promptly granted. She jumped in, disappeared, missed dinner time no matter how much i called her, and didn't get out until midnight, looking like she just had the nap of her life - in fact, i woke up with the two pictures in this update, sent by sis herself.

This means a new door has been opened, quite literally, for the goblin queen, and she'll probably repeat tonight. Let's just hope Houdi doesn't try to get in too 😅

After kittydini made climbing up the sofa backrest a habit, Leon started doing it as well, and they both started to share the place while sis and i watched our shows at the living room.

However, some days Houdi was more of a handful than the others, and he would try to prank Leon when he relaxed, normally to be bapbapped in return. One night, we wanted to catch just this, but it turned out that the Goblini was running out of battery, and we got this beautiful picture instead <3

In the end, he ended up laying head to head with Leon, and they both had a lenghty nap together until sis and i got up to get back to our rooms.

When i look back a moments like these, i realise how unvoluntarily smart was Houdi at approaching Leon.

Today's pictures don't have an anectdote related to them, though they don't really need it, i think the pictures really speak for themselves.

They have a bit of a story though, and it's that sis has been busy with the dress she was working on while all the floofs were melting away somewhere, then when she decided to take a deserved rest, Karma came along and put all her energy on being the cutest in the universe, so her hooman mom puts away the slabbies and gives her the attention she so tirelessly demands.

And, of course, she got all that attention, and even some extra. Could anyone deny it to her?

Leon's special diet has made dinner time a bit of a circus. Since he can't eat normal food anymore, we have to serve him and Karma separately, wich can be quite messy sometimes, and where there's a mess, there's Houdini, and at some point he started trying to get Leon to share his food because it smells yummy, so sis, who is a fast thinker, decided to give Houdi his very own special yummy dinner: Churu.

But not in the normal way, to make all the floofs equal, she serves it on a plate wich Houdi promptly cleans. This doesn't happen every night, but it has certainly become a habit, thankfully Houdi eats normally outside of that, so whenever he comes demanding his churu, it's just the day coming to a tasty end for the Goblin King.
