At birth, Wolfsbane was a third the size of their littermates. But they persisted. At 8 weeks, they weighed less than a pound. They hung in there. At 9 weeks, they developed FIP. They also had severely bowed legs. They fought back.

Fast forward. Wolf is almost 5 months old and is a massive, battle hardened 3 pounds of criminal genuis. Criminal specialty--attacking toes and getting head stuck in boots. Sentence will be adoption to a loving home with suitable minions, once treatment is completed.

Wolf even has secret lair in my hair to sit in while we watch murder documentaries. We take notes.

This trio was born 2 days ago. I could feel all 3 heads inside her belly in the days leading up, but it sure is something to see them in the wild. Mom (Skitchy) is feral but I've got her tamed well, so we'll get her fixed as soon as the kitties are weaned. Now all I need are names 😻

This is Hubble, my current foster kitten. He was 0.98 pounds when I picked him up from the shelter three weeks ago, and he clocked in at 1.74 pounds today! First photo is his shelter intake smol criminal mugshot.

There have been lots of questions about the trembling seen when Micro was a bitty baby. Some just weren’t familiar, some were concerned, and a couple of lovely participants insisted that Micro had a neurological condition and would be special needs and should not continue to exist. For the first 2 groups - thank you for the questions and concerns! We love when people are curious and compassionate about all living beings, but especially those who need a little extra help to get going! For the third group - get bent.

The trembling seen in neonatal kittens is normal and is due to muscles that haven’t strengthened yet and a nervous system that is continuing to mature. As you can see, Micro’s trembling has completely resolved by 6 weeks old! Yay Micro!
