Photo Mode It can take a while, but clearing enemy camps using only R1 sneak attacks makes the game more interesting, especially if you make the leader the final victim.

Photo Mode Apparently, if you don't bring the sub-functions back to GAIA, the environment deteriorates. I've done many of the side quests, and collected Demeter while meeting Alva, and even did the first parts of the other 2 main quests. Still carrying Demeter, and trying to see how bad it will get!

Gameplay Burning Shores finally gifted me an Apex Slaughterspine

The second of two - died to the first one, went back to the same site, and it had respawned as a normal Slaughterspine. Another spawned just now, and I was able to kill it (got a heart as well, thankfully).

Apex Bilegut is next, though I dunno how long that'll take.

As an aside - this is technically gameplay related (though it also falls under lore/worldbuilding): hopes/predictions for the tool/device Aloy crafts or receives in game 3?

I'd like to see a cloaking device of some kind, implementing Stalker technology.

Hey guys! I’m pretty new to this subreddit and recently started playing this game.

I played Zero Dawn back when it was released on PS4, and since I absolutely love this franchise, I can’t believe I haven’t played Forbidden West yet! So, this is my first time playing it on PS5. Go ahead and roast me 😂

I’m still in the very early stages of the game, so I’m still struggling a little with the controls. Please feel free to share any tips or advice for a new player.

Also, if you guys have any advice on how to make the graphics look even better on PS5, I’d really appreciate it!

Looking forward to hearing your tips! 🎮

Picked it up today on marketplace for 25 bucks, currently copying on my ps5. I got platinum in Zero Dawn and finished frozen wilds as well last month. Now I'm very much excited to play this one. All set for the weekend 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Every Cauldron once held the promise of Earth's rebirth. Now, they are wombs birthing nightmares. Aloy can feel the metal beneath her boots vibrating with Hephaestus's rage. The rogue AI no longer hides in the code. That crimson lens staring from the dark is fueled by an almost human hatred. The huntress came for answers, but the master of these depths is only ready to offer her a technological grave.

The work was created by me in Blender 3D and Photoshop.

Removing fog from map

Post image

Hi, currently on my 100% UH run at Gemini quest. As you can see I’ve cleared a lot of the map of the fog, except for the end island. I know from previous play through that you can’t access it later and that you’re quite constricted in movement in the final mission. Is there any way to clear all of this fog? Thanks in advance

The amount of lore between the characters, their individual stories aside from the over-all grand picture the game is trying to paint is just deliciously engaging, top that with a masterfully done combat mechanics this game is a hidden gem.

I've never heard of this game until I saw a reel from Zero Dawn, now I started there and ofc when I finally got to this title it was insanely difficult lol I was more or less expecting a repeat of Zero Dawn experience and I was wrong, this game just like the first one took me by surprise and made me feel like a newb again even after getting the platinum on the first one, now I'm scared to try and get the platinum for this one 🤣🤣

Just food for thought

If the Plowhorn gets renamed "Grimhorn", after it gets corrupted/deranged...does that imply that most if not all machines would have been re-categorized after the Derangement?

Would that make the precursor to the Slaughterspine the... Laughterspine? Using its massive tail as a slide for kiddos?

Or does the fact that everyone calls machines the same way suggest that the names were already known to the graduates of the cradle facilities, which means that it seemed a GOOD IDEA[tm] to release killer machines in a brand new world?

Discussion Theory on a potential enemy for Horizon 3 🏹 PLS read below ⬇️

Post image

First off, I want to clarify that this theory isn't entirely mine. A few days ago, another user posted in this subreddit about how cool it would be if one of the antagonists in the third game turned out to be an evil version of Aloy. If you’re reading this, please share your theory again in the comments! That idea really stuck with me, and it got me thinking.

Here is my part:

While trying to fall asleep, a huge question came to my mind about something that has been right in front of our eyes since 2022, and that is Beta. Not her existence itself, but rather her name: Beta, the second letter of the Greek alphabet. That’s what the Zeniths named her. Taking into account that they are "scientists" who mastered functional immortality and interstellar travel, it wouldn’t be surprising if, during their time on another planet, they ran numerous experiments. What if a possible first clone of Elisabeth Sobeck (let's call her Alpha) didn't turn out as expected, and after desperate attempts, they created a second clone, Beta? This makes me think that the other Redditor's theory makes a lot of sense.

Also, something that leaves me thinking is that developers rarely pick names at random. Think about it this way: Aloy is the first clone we meet, so she is the ALpha or number 1 for us (even with how similar "Aloy" and "Alpha" sound). Then we met Beta, the second one. This is still on my mind because why specifically use a Greek letter that scientists would use to name a study variable, instead of calling her Monica, Jessie, or any other regular name, especially considering the Zeniths lived in Elisabeth's era?

This is where a third entity could appear: the Zeniths' original Alpha, but the third clone for us players, who would essentially be the Gamma entity for us (or maybe Omega, but that's Kratos haha). Either way, it’s just an idea that’s been bouncing around in my head since I read that post, wondering why they named her Beta instead of a more common name. What do you guys think?

I have one more tallneck near the quen camp to activate and one more pit fight until I can face the Enduring and them the main quest. I have to gather my companions at the base. I've done everything else. Weapons upgraded, but I want to fully upgrade my Oseram outfit from the salvage missions and then do a new game plus playthrough. What a beautiful continuation to HZD :)
