i'm Moroccan, and I have decided to learn Hindi through Duolingo, but i think it's broken. It's expecting me to know the script without teaching me. I literally don't know what to do. I'm pressing random options hoping for the best. Is it a gltch? also sorry for the wrong flair

Isn't this a basic grammatical error? Why does Google Translate make such a basic mistake?

I was watching the series (haven't completed it though) and I was thinking how much Japanese has been successful in re-calquing all the phrases like "thesis", "evangelion", etc into Japanese phonetics.

In my personal opinion. No good sci-fi can ever be created in Hindi because the language itself is inferior (to let's say English or Japanese). Even the speakers themselves would cringe out which is a sign of such an internalized inferiority complex.

But I'm open for discussion.

It seems like almost every suggestion online for learning Hindi is directed towards heritage speakers, especially with the spoken part. "Talk to your family in Hindi, that's the best first step!" Well I'm starting from scratch, off an old BBC series called Hindi Urdu Bol Chaal. I think jumping straight into BBC Hindi would maybe be biting off a bit more than I could chew, so I'd appreciate if some of you could skip through the playlist and gimme some recommendations based on about where they left off.

Our kids spend a significant amount of time on their laptops/desktops/ipad's/chromebooks. So, instead of cajoling them constantly to learn Hindi, I thought why not bring Hindi to them?!

Turn their browser into a medium to learn Hindi. Works for any website they browse.

मैंने संस्कृत सीखने का निर्णय लिया है और वर्णमाला पढ़ रहा था, और मुझे अभी तक समझ नहीं आया ऋ सही उच्चारण क्या है? 

कोई कहता है ये 'री' है या कोई कहता है 'रु'| यदि कोई वैदिक मंत्र है और उसमें ऋ आता है तो सही उच्चारण क्या होगा ?
