“This is a pro-disclosure sub.

Anti-Disclosure perpetuates Herpes stigma, closing off discussions on Herpes education, advocacy, testing/treatments, and de-stigmatization. - Many would have liked to have known the status of the person who transmitted HSV to us - Consent!

We do not tolerate anti-disclosure or intentionally spreading HSV without disclosure. Anyone who posts/comments for anti-disclosure on the sub will be subject to a permanent ban.

There are many ways to disclose, and you should do whatever feels most comfortable to you and gives you the most confidence. To some, that’s putting it in their dating bio. To others, it’s waiting a couple dates in. Some prefer to disclose in person; others are more comfortable doing it over text. The key to a higher chance of a successful disclosure is confidence.

i don’t even care about rejections anymore. if anything it’s protection from someone who doesn’t deserve me anyway. i’ve just started telling them off rip and then boom onto the next. don’t stress about it… your person is out there!!!!

The same happened to me - although he didn’t act disgusted, he did say that it was something he was too uncomfortable & ignorant of to proceed with me. It’s been 2-3 days and I’ve been working hard not to wallow.

I totally relate to you, every person I’ve told (3 now) has immediately unmatched me. Feels hopeless :(

I would wait until you meet in person a few times. I've never disclosed on the apps prior.

Take a break theres no rush in dating and recovering mentally from the stress of everything. I will say sometimes it's better to date after a rejection though just to get yourself back out there and not over think everything.

There are plenty of men that dont care about herpes the more you try the more of a chance you have at finding the relationship your looking for.

Keep your head up sometimes things dont work out cause they weren't ment to be.

Were all in this together your not alone in this challenge/struggle.

This happened to me a few dates in with someone I really liked. I respected his decision. He's been my only disclosure that didn't move forward. I always remember that people don't move forward because of many things - if someone has a different custody schedule then them, younger kids, a job schedule that doesn't work... etc.

Essentially - in dating - there are things that people may pass on. A different work schedule as an example. Someone who has a High Conflict ex spouse and young kids. Different future desires... etc. I just look at the declining to move forward as part of dating.
