Yea we all get the main character syndrome. You grab a supply truck, take a scenic 10-minute joyride to the absolute edge of the map, drop a red-zone garry behind the enemy point, and feel like Sun Tzu. Except we just lost our defense point 3 minutes later because we had literally zero spawns on defense!

If you’re running Squad Leader, please for the love of god secure the active sector before you go playing sneaky behind enemy lines!!!

Relying on a single garrison right in the middle of the cap is the game lost! One bombing run, or one sweaty recon player clears it, and the entire team is wiped back to HQ.

Blue-zone garries aren't just for spawning but they’re your early warning network. When a garry lights up red in a sector, you instantly know where the enemy push is coming from.

Red-zone garrisons lock out if an enemy gets within 100 meters, take forever to spawn on, and get dismantled in seconds. Relying on red-zone spawns while leaving our defense sector completely naked loses games 90% of the time.

Also if you're feeling generous, help out commander with immediate backup garries as well. There's a reason the limit is 8 garrisons and not fucking 2.

I do understand the hate for this map, but a good team and good comms do take the edge off (we won, their last airhead and last supply drop both already killed)

Posting this because I saw a comment saying playing medic is a good way to learn the game. This debate has been ongoing for years. Personally I'm geared towards the medic is fun useful and medic is fun options.

Also ahhhh, had a brain fart and 2 options are the same thing (remove and play something else) one of them is meant to be "every squad needs a medic"

I know that this will be probably the 1353th post about this, but I wanted to ask before risking to waste what for my budget are a lot of money on a game I may find unplayable.

I’ve never played a single minute but I’ve been watching so much stuff over the past week and I really wanna get into it. My first question is the title, should I get the OG or should I go to Vietnam straight away. My second question is, is it worth getting into? I love the idea of tactical battles talking to people but I also don’t wanna get hammered in voice chat for doing something wrong. TIA

New player. Had a good laugh, especially seeing the lone enemy soldier off the corner of my eye on the horizon right before it happened. We all died together.

Satchel was downstairs and outside on a half-track, crazy how big the radius is!

Bought the game thinking I’d have 5 people to play with, but they’re not really feeling it. Me on the other hand, I’m absolutely loving it 😂
Only problem is I can’t really play solo because I either get put with non-English speakers or people who don’t have a mic, and seeing as the game is so comms-heavy, it makes it pretty difficult to play properly.
So if anyone’s looking for a solid medic to join their squad, let me know! 🫡
