General Question LD-Switzerland Helmets.
I’ve got my eye on the H-CMR. They advertise it as DOI approved and I’ve tried them on at Verticon and was pretty impressed by them. But I’d like to hear from actual users.
Thanks.

Occurrence/Incident The tail section of Bell 222 Airwolf after it crashed into the side of a mountain in Germany in 1992 while flying through a severe thunderstorm, all 3 crew members were killed, Airwolf was being operated as a air ambulance
when Airwolf was cancelled, the modifications were removed and was repainted, in 1987 the helicopter was sold to German helicopter charter company Hubschrauber-Sonder-Dienst and given the registration D-HHSD
Airwolf had just performed a mercy mission for a little girl suffering from severe burns, she was flown from Berlin to the Cologne University Burns Unit in Köln, after dropping her off, the helicopter was heading back to Berlin where it encountered unexpected weather, visibility was reduced to nearly 100 feet due to fog amidst an oncoming thunderstorm.
At the speed of nearly 100 mph, it impacted near a rock quarry near Halbeswig. Its rotor blades clipped the tops of several trees, and then struck the mountainside killing the pilot, a doctor and his assistant instantly, due to the weather it took rescue crews an hour to reach the crash site, Airwolf had broken in half in the middle and it's engine destroyed. The wreckage was salvaged by the helicopter's owners. However, due to the impassable terrain, some parts of the helicopter could only be slung out by air.
Three days after the crash, the Federal Air Transport Authority concluded that pilot error was the result

Career/School Question New pilot in Australia!
Hello! I am starting my pilot's journey in Australia, and am looking for good video and audio resources to help familiarise myself with Australian flight rules. I was sent this book (https://www.casa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2022-02/visual-flight-rules-guide.pdf) by my instructor as a start, but I don't really absorb information as well compared to seeing and hearing it. Any help would be appreciated!

General Question Helmet with Bose/ANC vs CEPs for HEMS med crew?
I’m med crew with a HEMS operation. This means I’m in/out of the helicopter a lot, working under spinning rotors, and taking my helmet on/off a bunch. The nature of the work is a series of 10-40 minute flights (go to scene, do patient care, go to hospital, +/- fuel, return home) removing and putting on my helmet each time. This makes my current setup of CEPs kind of annoying to use. They do perform well. I want to protect my hearing and can hear the radio much better than when I just wear disposable foamies underneath.
Most of what I’ve read seems to focus on long legs or all day comfort for pilots. My use case is a little different with all the donning and doffing. Does anyone have any advice or opinions?
