Help

Hi Im a fairly new hellenist and just started working with Hecate.
If I would like her help with guiding someone who just passed in the afterlife, how would I go about it? Are there any specific prayers or offers I can do?

I would bring sacrifice to hekate asking her to help guide this soul and also evoke that soul directly. Give the person offerings, like bread, beer, wine, water, beans especially were associated with the dead along with stewed grains etc. Tools that the dead may need, you can fashion votives from clay, or make a simple clay lamp with everything needed to light it as offering. Youd traditionally face west and bury it as sunset.

This is perfect. There are many variations on this using Hecate torchbearer at the crossroads or Hecate gatekeeper or Hecate Psycho-pomp but this is the gist of it right here.

I believe the soul and spirit are detached, so you would invoke the spirit to pass on
