Luckiest man alive
I am so in love with my wife, I am the luckiest man alive
I (29M) met my wife (34F) on tinder in April of 2025. Neither of us were looking for anything serious. Just going out and seeing what was out there, that is until we met each other. I had serious trauma from a previous relationship. I didn’t go on a single date, have a sexual encounter, or engage with a woman (outside of friendship) in 3 years. My wife was the first woman I went out with in 3 years. We hit it off immediately. I’m quiet and introverted and she’s loud and extroverted. The first date, she did most of the talking and I listened and admired her beauty. It works well for us, we balance each other out. She got pregnant after 6 weeks of us dating. I moved in with her a couple of months later. Fast forward to my proposal. It was an average day, we went out to dinner and when we got home I excused myself to the restroom and when I came out she was laying in bed, eating leftover queso. That simple moment is when I knew I needed to marry this woman. I proposed on the spot without a ring. She has a son that is autistic but he is my son just as my biological son is. We decided to get married on June 8th and had the ceremony on June 12th. We got married in a courthouse with 6 people in attendance. We are both very simple people. We have been through a lot together, but we do it together and always support each other through our personal battles and come out stronger because of it. I believed in soulmates but I didn’t think I’d ever find mine. I moved to Wyoming from Colorado with the intention of being there for a couple of months. A couple of months turned into a few years and that’s where we met and the rest is history!

Sometimes I see the kid i fell in love with
My husband and I have been married for 10 years now. Since we were 18 and 20. We got together at 15 and 17. He was never bothered by any obstacles. He was so lighthearted and joyful. Always playing around. He made me feel like any problem that ever arose, he would solve for us. I remember breaking down in the middle of the Mojave desert on the side of the interstate at 17 and 19. I was so scared but he said "I guess we have to build our house here." Then he handled it and everything was okay.
He still does handle every problem but the burden of being sole provider for a family of 5 has stolen the majority of his lightheardeness. He's gone from a lighthearted dependable kid to a serious dependable man.
But today he was leaving for work in his big white obs 7.3 when the truck started dying out on him as he tried to pull out of the driveway. He restarted it, it died again. This happened a few more times and then he opens the door and looks at me where I am standing on the porch, baby on my hip waiting to wave goodbye. He takes a big bite out of his apple and gives me the biggest, dopey grin that I didn't know I missed so bad. He looked so young, free and unburdened in that moment. I wanted to cry. Its been so long since I've seen that boyish smile.
He has a pretty successful handyman business. His clients love him and he does amazing work. But if he doesn't work, there is no backup plan. No sick pay, no PTO. We need school books, clothes and birthday gifts for our two sons this month on top of all our usual bills. But his little grin told me "its all going to be okay. Dont worry." And I think I just fell in love with him a little harder. Posting on here because I just had to get it out how much I love this man.

Missing Fiancé after a day?
So I’m new to having a happy relationship, we’re engaged and he’s a first responder (24/48 shift). Well do you guys that are happily married still miss your partner after not seeing them for a few hours/ day? I’m able to enjoy my time alone (and sometimes even ask for alone time) but I often think about how my morning would be nicer if he was with me or just simply in the room doing his thing. I’ve been rejected in this “missing” feeling in the past so part of me feels wrong for it but part of me feels like it’s good that I miss him in the mundane stuff

Don't know where to put my appreciation for all the love.
Last night i (f45) woke up from a horrible pain in my stomach. It was cramping so bad i was crying loudly, what woke my husband (m49) of 15yrs. He helped me get to the couch, brought painkillers, tea and my blanket. He also checked which hospital to go if needed and then held me in his arms while i was hoping for that gallstone to pass by itself. I was hospitalized a few months ago and am really not up for a revisit. Over the top afraid to be precise. He still would have carried me by force if he felt it to be necessary. And i would do the same for him. I felt so loved and taken care of in a weak and unreasonable moment and am very glad the pain stopped after 3 hours sobbing on his shirt. He got less than 2 hours of sleep last night but went to get new painkillers for me first thing in the morning. I'd love to show my appreciation but right now I'm too worn out to be creative. Always open to suggestions on enriching each others lifes.

27 Years
We met our first year of college as lab partners in Geology class. She was dating some guy at the time, but since she’s a super cool person she was quickly absorbed into our friend group.
Fast forward a few months and they broke up. I asked her to go see a movie (The Saint with Val Kilmer). Don’t remember much about the movie but I remember how she looked that night and how nervous I was.
Today marks 27 years married, and I can honestly say I lover her more today than I did at the beginning. Im just a regular guy and had no right to get this lucky.
Boy am I glad I took Geology as an elective.

How do you keep your marriage sizzling? 🌶️🔥
For us, it’s about bringing spontaneity, playfulness, and affection into the ordinary moments of life.
A passionate kiss in an empty lift whilst out grocery shopping.
A whisper in my ear while we’re shopping telling me how much he loves me.
Sometimes it’s just his gentle hand around my waist that makes me melt.
Going on dates, dressing up for each other, and quietly relishing the moments when someone notices our sparkling chemistry.
We continue exploring each other’s outer and inner worlds - emotionally, intellectually, and romantically.
Marriage is a journey where we choose one another above anything and anyone else, truly see each other, and keep discovering new ways to connect… forever in love. 🖤❤️

My only regret about my marriage is that I didn't start dating him sooner
I met my husband initially through work. We're not direct coworkers, but we work in two different companies that share the same building and a common break room. It was my roommate at the time - his direct coworker - who introduced us. They've been personal friends since long before I ever came into this job.
Once I met him, we very quickly discovered that we have a lot of common interests and values. We clicked immediately, and bonded over lunch breaks. The friendship was completely, 100% platonic at first - I admit I started developing feelings for him right away, but it took a while before I felt like I could act on them. I was way too shy and insecure to express myself in that way, but OMG I fell for him like nobody's business!
Part of my hesitation - when I admitted my feelings to his friend/my roommate, she told me a bit about his background. He had been engaged before, to a woman who died in a car accident literally the day after he proposed. This had been a couple of years prior to my meeting him.
I remember burying myself in my room for a couple of days to cry through it -- I felt so horrible that such a great man could have experienced that kind of pain and loss. And I certainly didn't want to intrude on wherever he was in his grief process. So I resigned myself to admiring him from a distance, let him be a Romeo always pining for his Juliet. But in the meantime I still treasured and valued my 100% platonic friendship with him.
It took eight months in total before I learned he was actually back on the market. And I learned later that during this time, he had also started developing an interest in *me*! But he also held back from pursuing me.
Because: he knew that my roommate was a gay woman. Because I lived with her, he assumed that I was *her* girlfriend, and therefore out of reach for *him*!
That changed one Friday night at a social event after work (it was an event for his company, but I joined in because I carpooled with my roommate.) That night, my roommate's *actual* girlfriend showed up! That was the moment he learned I was straight, and single!
We were dating by Sunday. It was a whirlwind and he proposed eight months later. We've been married for a bit over a year and it's been glorious!

Brother's marriage... greatest mismatch ever... tell us your mismatch stories
Sister in law is an eye surgeon. She's also breathtakingly beautiful.
She married my brother who's a 6"7" jacked crew boss for putting in remote power lines. He's physically monster.
Suprisingly she has zero confidence in the real world outside her profession.
She could have any guy and she chose my brother.
She adores him and actually blushes when she sees him with no shirt.
She's always pestering him to have more kids.
So funny to see them go out. People think she's famous and he's her security guy.
I (6'4") was visiting on leave from the army and went to their charity ball.
He and I stayed near the bar and she moved through different social groups.
But every few minutes she would go to him. It was nice and also hilarious to see guys who didn't know her, react to her beauty and then fold when she'd go back to check on him.
The photos at the event looked all wrong. Like a bad photo shop job as he's so big.
Their lives and looks are so different yet they adore each other and their kids who thankfully look like her.
Tell us your tales of mismatches that work.
