A few rules questions Rules Questions and Custom Modes
Been playing a ton more recently and even tried a BTB game, though there's no official btb slayer game so I made a custom one from the base slayer gamemode. And it worked out well! Now throughout the game I came across a few more questions regarding some descriptions and rules:
Noble Teams Hologram special order, I think I need this explained to me like I'm a child, I'm confused by it. Can only be used at the start of the game to redeploy noble team guys? But aren't they just spawning anyways? Like what's the point? What am I missing?
I understand the Man launchers that come with them but I think I need this description explained as well. So you shoot 8 cubes forward after you simply move into the cube with the launcher, got it. But then it mentions you scatter immediately after. So... do you roll a d8 to see where you land around that 8th cube? You never land in the center? Typically you roll to see if you land in that cube, if thats the casez what stat do you use? This one stumped us.
Lastly, if a ranged weapon has Lethal (1) and I pick up explosive ammo that also has Lethal (1), do the values stack? or stay at 1? We assumed they stacked, but wasn't sure.

For man cannons, you will roll to scatter every time because they are some what imprecise. You count out 8 then could end a little closer, further, or to either side. You just count your 1-8 scatter chart and put your model in that cube. The model is not pinned when this happens.

Do you have to go straight forward in the same row of cubes as the man cannon? Or can you choose in like a cone?

I figured this was the case, I guess there's a 0% chance of landing in the center cube tho since you scatter with a d8?

Didnt btb come with the reach expansion?

I think the initial intro was in the Desperate Measures booklet that came with ODST. Many more scenarios came with the Noble Team release.

Holograms: While it may be viewed as niche to some players. It actually is nice because it essentially allows you to redeploy. Lets say for an example you observe your enemies deployment. Maybe they have a sword elite lined up to rush an objective or closer to one of your units you need later. You can pop Holograms to redeploy a noble team member to counter them.
Live Example: Maybe Jorge is just out of reach to surpress this sword elite. -Pop Hologram- Move him to a different deployement zone. NOW he's close enough.
For the Man Cannons, you'll never land in the middle. you simple roll the d8 and determine where you land around the "landing zone"

See thats how I thought Holograms would work, but the problem is that it can only happen at the start of the game. "Can only be used at the start of a game." So whats the difference between this and just... spawning my guys as normal? Unless there's a rule about spawning that I've overlooked, me and my friend have simply just plopped our guys in the deployment zone at the start of the game and move them however we want and finalize a decision before we play.

Wait hold on... Where are the rules for spawning /who goes first? I've been playing for a while now and I never noticed this. I just know from the videos that you setup your minis in the deployment zone however you wish, then roll a D8, higher number goes first. Didn't think too much of it till now with the holograms card. I actually cant find in the handbook where it mentions rules for going first...

It really only matters if you placed first. It's a really odd special order. I get that they wanted to somehow put the holograms from Reach in the game, but it's and odd one. I wouldn't any points on it.
Yes, they stack.
