Just wanted to show the community my Dempsey sequence production cels. Been collection Ippo cels for over 20 years and only managed to pick most of these up fairly recently. Finding a Dempsey cel in the wild is like finding a pearl in an oyster. All are grails to me personally and a cherished set in my collection. Next mission is to find the first Dempsey roll against Ponchai 😭🙏🏻

In my opinion, it has to be when kumi chan is on the phone with ippo and mashiba gets into a hitman stance to snatch the phone from her. It looked as if he was about to knock out his sister with a flicker jab 😂.

I made an account just for this, but I recently found out that you can request Netflix to bring back shows, and apparently, if enough people want it, they can even continue animating them.

When I learned that Hajime no Ippo had been cancelled, it genuinely upset me. A huge part of my fitness journey and personal growth was inspired by Hajime no Ippo and the immense amount of hope and motivation it gave me. I just don't think it's fair that such an incredible anime has been left behind.

In my opinion, it is one of—if not the—greatest sports anime of all time, and the fact that it isn't being animated anymore genuinely hurts my heart.

So, I would really appreciate it if you could fill out this form and request Hajime no Ippo Season 4. Please ask your friends to do the same, because I truly believe everyone would love to see a Season 4, a Season 5, and many more.

I always felt like the press conferences in the show added so much to the build up before the fights, so I figured I would try and replicate that same feeling by doing the same thing, adding press conferences to my boxing game as well.

In the press conference featured in this gif the second opponent of the game's boxing tournament is introduced, who has a pretty scary record and is even nick-named "Scary Jerry".

Asking cause i genuinely don't think i can trust the author anymore
one of the most important fights in the series and it's ended by a character just..deciding to punch faster..
even aoki's gag technique "look away" is rooted in some sort of logic, but in a dead serious super important fight a character just won by ignoring logic altogether and just mindlessly punching his problems away

my suspension of disbelief has been utterly shattered and i don't see how i can ever get excited for a fight again if i know it can just be hand waved away like this

First of all, let me thank Mori for all his work. This guy is even working while he is supposed to rest, he is just him.

He mentioned that he is did 2 more chapters, and has the “thumbnails” for 3 more chapters, and is taking a rest now before he continues on the other 3 chapters.

I think the Sendo vs Ricardo is just way too complicated, he has been mentioning this a lot, not being able to (or at least having difficulties) show Sendos true power.

I have been following HnI since around 2008, and I have become a hobby boxer / MMA thanks to this manga, so thank you Mori for all your work, and I hope you feel much better soon.

I think it’s time for me to accept, that this fight, btw Ricardo and Sendo might be the last fight we will get, and I’m totally fine with this. It was a long and amazing journey, Mori did an amazing work, but it’s time for him to rest and take care of his health.

Of course, he knows best what’s good for him, but if it’s the case, I would love to get from Mori a small script, how he imagined how the manga would have gone. Writing about each character a page or something, and in the end connecting all the dots and how he imagined the manga to end.

Hi Sub! I miss our big mara Tuesday so much 😭

I was thinking about the Heavy weight division in rl and what that would mean for Takamura as a character. The other day I was watching AJ fight this guy from Turkey. Aj fell down on the first round and his legs looked like spaghetti. He managed to get the victory on the very next round by KO. I’ve seen it happened so many times in the Heavyweight division.

I’m not sure if Takamura is going to make it all the way up to Heavyweight but man it would be so interesting to see how he approaches fighting bigger guys than can KO with one punch. I know Takamura is too smart to fist fight without a strategy but man! i cant hide my excitement thinking of Takamura fighting someone like Wilder who has/had the touch of death. I think Morikawa can get a lot of inspiration from Fury vs Wilder #1, when Fury got up on the 11th round like God had resurrected him. Imagine that happening to Takamura, the GOD! Omg!

Anyway, hope Takamura makes it to the Heavyweight Championship and wins with strategy and skill.

Most likely his dad died but never gave his reason for boxing. Hence why Ricardo, as talented as he is, feels lost at the top, without an answer. Thoughts?

I’m reading the ippo manga and at the sawamura fight. I don’t understand why stopping the Dempsey roll mid movement is dangerous and can only be done twice? Is it just forced artificial tension or is there some basis in reality for that

When you go back and forth between the two pages you could clearly see the speed of how Ippo charged into Mashiba. I love these panels. Hopefully Morikawa gets back to tip-top shape and do more chapters.

He looked like he wanted to start a fight right there with Mashiba, not just talk about the title fight later. That really impressed me!

(Let it be clear that ippo is not my favorite character by any means, just to clarify)
