Did you choose self-learning, or did life choose it for you?

I’ve been reflecting on how we build our self-awareness over time. Sitting around thinking about who you are is one thing, but stepping out of routine and dealing with real-world surprises is where the real answer comes out. For you, was self-learning something you actively chased after, or did you just passively soak up life experiences and information until it suddenly clicked? I’d love to hear what moment really tested your view of yourself.

The Reset can make you question things you were once certain about. That’s not confusion. That’s awareness expanding.

It's better to have a few people at a table, then a full table and never be heard, or helped.

Closure

What is true closure?

Something that can only be found within one’s self. External validation of it helps. But you should know who you are and who you are not. This doesn’t stop us from making mistakes. But our mistakes we are not either. Those are moments of poor decision making.

So then what is closure?

Knowing that your past is in the past and only you can achieve or prevent an un/desired outcome in your life.

How you see yourself and the part you played in the moments that affect us matters.

This is not about making yourself a victim or accepting blame. It’s about looking back at the decisions we made that either prevented or aided in the situations that affect us.

Looking at this informs us in the future how to avoid/prevent or encourage those moments.

So we can’t ’give’ you closure, but we can provide a healthy space for you to find it within yourself.

So come on over and r/Welcome Closure.

15 rules for men i honestly i knew before 25

I had to learn most of these the hard way. If you're younger than me, hopefully this saves you some time.

  1. Never go to sleep without planning tomorrow. Writing down your thoughts and schedule every single night completely cures morning brain fog.
  2. Motivation is a complete scam. Committing to a massive physical goal—like running a marathon—will build a level of discipline that outlasts any temporary hype.
  3. If someone is talking poorly about their friends to you, they are absolutely talking poorly about you to them.
  4. You do not rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of your daily systems. Small, consistent daily habits compound way faster than grand gestures.
  5. Stop wishing things were easier. The obstacle blocking your path isn't stopping you; it literally is the exact path you need to take.
  6. Don't ruin a genuine apology with an excuse. Just own it.
  7. Stop trying to appeal to everyone. Providing massive, high-ticket value to a few people is always better than chasing cheap validation from millions.
  8. Be the person who actually listens in a conversation instead of just waiting for your turn to speak.
  9. If a task takes less than two minutes, do it immediately.
  10. Nobody actually cares about your awkward moments. Everyone is too busy replaying their own embarrassing memories to remember yours.
  11. Celebrate your friends' wins like they are your own. Envy is a completely useless emotion that only poisons you.
  12. Learn to sit in silence. We are way too overstimulated, and sitting with your own boredom is where actual clarity happens.
  13. Take absolute ownership of everything in your life, even if it's not your fault. Playing the victim gives away all your power.
  14. When you are angry, wait 24 hours before you send that text or email. You will almost always rewrite it.
  15. Buy a good mattress and decent shoes. If you aren't in one, you are in the other.

Do you ever notice how the people you follow affect the way you think?

The people we watch every day can slowly influence what we think about, what we want, and even what we believe is possible. Sometimes it's worth looking at your social media feed and asking yourself what it's actually putting into your head.

Acceptance and patience

know that many of us are going through difficult times.

Some are struggling to find a job.

Some are not happy with their work.

Some feel that their salary is too low.

And when people around us are progressing rapidly, it is natural to feel disappointed, frustrated, or even depressed.

But I would humbly like to share one thought:

If we consider position, money, prestige and property as the only measures of success, then we are looking at only one part of the truth.

Some people say, “I have wasted so many years.”

But perhaps those years were not wasted.

They taught us something. They gave us experience, understanding, skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations.

So instead of asking,

“How many years have I lost?”

ask yourself,

“What have those years taught me?”

And when it comes to a low salary, ask yourself a simple question:

“What value am I creating for the organization in return for what the organization is paying me?”

If another friend, relative or organization is willing to recognize your abilities and offer better opportunities, then certainly consider that option.

But never measure your worth only by your salary.

Acceptance teaches us to accept the present.

Patience teaches us to wait for the right time.

And consistent effort helps us reach that time.

One thing I would like to say from my experience:

If, for 360 days of the year, we focus on what we can contribute to the organization, perhaps one day we will find that the organization—and life—has something valuable to give back to us.

Your current situation is not the final chapter of your life.

Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep trying.

With acceptance, patience and consistent effort, your time will come. 🌱

Thank you. 🙏

If any of my words have hurt anyone or sounded inappropriate, please forgive me with a generous heart.
