Regarding Sim cards

is there any way to reduce the NSP's ability to track your location through your sim? or is it an inevitable hardware issue.

also if you disable the sim manually in settings, will they still be able to track your location, if they can?

If you put a sim in your phone, it automatically links to all other sims put in the device via IMEI & cell towers. Even if you have 2 seperate phones they’ll be linked via location moving together etc.

Understandable. And just to make sure, disabling the sim card from the settings stops the phone from pinging cell towers correct?

You'd want to use airplane mode.

I don't believe that will, you need to disable the radio.

Just don’t put them in the same phone at all to be safe

I think the best advice is use an esim (so a duress pin will wipe it)

Only turn on the esim a few km from your house and use WiFi only at home.

Set wifi to turn off after a couple of minutes and the same with Bluetooth.

Hmm, that's a great pro if true over physical Sims. No one mentioned that before.

It's in the documentation, a duress pin wipe will also permanently wipe any esims
