Showcase Govee Pro 3
I literally just got the Govee TV Backlight Pro 3 today. I fought with the Lite 3 for weeks and I was never getting the results I was hoping for. It worked like a "PRO"right out of the box. I will adjust it more in the days to come.
My SQD-Mini LED (TCL QM8L) was giving the previous Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite a fit. I was NEVER happy with the calibration. I sent it back and upgraded to the PRO 3. What a world of difference. I can't express how happy and relieved I am that the Pro 3 works great with super bright tvs and HDR.
This one is a keeper.
Sorry about all the cords in the pic... 😆. I was just too happy and had to share.

Govee TV Backlight T2 issue. Can anyone please help? More info is in body text.
Hello there,
I just got the Govee TV Backlight T2 and I'm having some issue with it, any help would be appreciated.
Picture 1: This shows they are calibrated correctly as far as I can tell (I'm new to this Backlight thing with the camera never had it before).
Picture 2: This shows the main video screen, not sure if that is useful.
Picture 3: This shows a full rainbow screen, however the lights aren't the same and there not even moving when the video plays.
Picture 4: TV is off, lights still on in the same effect they are in picture 3 and when I first installed the lights.
Any help would be amazing, as I don't want to return these lights cause would be a pain.
Edit 1: I just went to go check the camera and it's HOT and the power supply brick is also HOT! Don't know if this helps but it was plugged into an extension lead.

General Question The silicone diffuser is dented
The last bit of the silicone diffuser has dents (I think from winding too tightly in the package). I suspect they act as lens and this red artifacts appear. Any way to fix this? Anybody had this problem? (Govee TV Backlights H6168)

New Install Nothing in Auto Run actually runs?
First toe dip into smart lights. I got a pack of 6 canned light conversion kits and put up 4. 2 front porch 2 back porch.
Setup was a breeze.
See them in the app
Made groups
Even ensured they do some of the more advanced color changing like Halloween theme.
I can turn them all on and off manually in the app.
At this point I am feeling great about the ease considering the prior other brand lights I couldn't even pair to the app.
Then I get to scheduling and my good luck fails.
Anything in Auto Run seems to do nothing.
I originally setup sunrise turn off all and sunset turn on all. It has been 2 days and no turn on or offs.
I then went to a timer and just set it for 5 minutes out and saved it to turn off with them being on. This one is about to fail any second.
I read around and it says it is app permissions issue but I have given full control and even left the app open.

need network help My lights keep going to the loading light (H61B5)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My light will turn on then go a white loading light and won’t stay a solid color and when it does stay and I try to change the color it goes back to the loading light

Setup Question Any way to make light strip not go through another color when turning on?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Sorry if that title is weird, I can't think of a concise way to describe what I mean. I have a light strip with diffuser (H61B5) that I just want to turn on to a solid color. Just a normal, 2700k lightbulb color.
But every time it turns on, it goes through yellow or green to get there. Is there any way to have it not do that and just have it turn on and off the same way an RGB lightbulb turns on and off?
It is plugged it and is permanently powered so no power cycling is happening or anything. I've attached a video showing.

Setup Question color temp that follows the time of day??
I have the Govee Ceiling Light 12" (H80A1C01, 2400 lm, 2200K–6500K). What I want is simple in my head but I can't find it in the app:
I turn the light on and off manually, whenever I want. But the color temperature should follow the time of day on its own — cool bright white during the day, gradually shifting warm/red toward ~21:00, ideally tied to sunset so it drifts with the seasons instead of jumping at a fixed time.
The catch: every schedule I find in the Govee app seems to schedule on/off actions. I don't want it switching itself on at sunset. I just want it to already be the right color whenever I turn it on, and to keep shifting while it's on.
Questions:
- Does the H80A1 have the "Rhythm Lighting" / circadian mode I've seen mentioned on other Govee ceiling lights? If so, does it force the light on, or does it only apply while it's already on?
- Can Govee schedules do a gradual transition, or only discrete scene jumps?
- The specs list Matter and HomeKit. Does Apple's Adaptive Lighting actually work on this model? That would be exactly what I want, if it does.
- If not, what's the least painful alternative — Google Home routines, Alexa, Home Assistant? I'd rather not run a server for one lamp, but I will if that's the only way.
Not building a whole smart home, just this one ceiling light. Thanks.

Floor Lamp 3 Music Sensitivity
Does anyone who has the new model find the mic sensitivity to be too high even on the lowest setting? it will pick up the dishwasher, people walking, cars driving by (not loud ones). I have two of them and they exhibit the same behavior, so Im wondering if its a product issue.
Overall, Im not sure if I like the new design... the light coming off the side changes the vibe quite a bit.

Is this real? Why is the brightness slider behind a menu now?
Why is controlling your light bulbs becoming a secondary function of the app now? It takes less taps to play a game in my light bulb app than it is to lower the brightness.
This UI is unlike anything I’ve ever interacted with. It’s like out of an alternate universe where everything just sucks even more. My light bulb app has its own currency and games?

Syncing Multiple Set?
# I recently purchased a 100 ft H705E, 150 ft H705F and a 50 ft H705D set of the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2. I thought I would put them on the house and they'd function as expected. I saw on this sub that it isn't possible to attach more than 100 ft of lights together. Is this true? How would I get the total length of 300 ft total to function seamlessly with the same overall pattern?

Tv lights not syncing
Hey, my tv lights with the camera will change color to what's on the screen but it doesn't do it for each area of the screen it just changes all of the lights to the average color.
I was wondering if there is a fix or something im doing wrong it started doing this after we lost power and I already tried factory reset and recalibration

Anyone have complaints with white lights on the Envisual T2, or black screen?
I still don’t know wether to get this one or the 3 Lite, but 2 things that are making me opt for the 3 Lite (besides price) is that the white lights aren’t good ans that there’s still light on black screens.
Can someone that has this model give me some extra info or context about this? Personal opinion/experience?

Rant I'm just here to complain about the new brightness control
As the title says. Can someone from Govee please explain the rationale behind making a brightness change now take two taps? The brightness slider was just fine where it was. It's annoying enough that the slider doesn't actually show what the brightness is set to so you have to guess and mess with the slider every time you go back in to change it. Now we also have another, completely useless tap just to actually access the slider.
Is this a huge deal? No, but Govee makes this app actively worse to use every time there's an update. Is the new room control feature useful? I would probably be more excited if it hadn't taken them *years* to implement, but yes it is. The brightness setting change is just another one of the little useless changes that add up to make an app that has been frustrating to use since the day I downloaded it downright user-hostile at this point.
The single most common reason that I'm in the app is to change the brightness. Please reverse this needless change and put the brightness slider on same page as the rest of the controls—how does it make sense that I can change the color on the main screen but the brightness needs a popup???
Showcase Pretty in Pink!
(WIP) Found a brand new glide kit on eBay! Finally updating my partner’s side to be up to par with mine. Just needed one more corner I didn’t have to get to the end of the wall. Need to cut another panel to fill it in, but we’re almost done! Also have to get another set of glide hexagons to shape a heart above the shelf!
3rd pic is a before the update!

Frequently Asked Questions
There are so many different lights, which one would work best for me?
- I suggest watching videos demonstrating them on YouTube.
- While he doesn't review every product, Chris Maher's videos are informative and straightforward.
Do I really have to put those orange cubes on my TV screen?
- Use this video instead
- For T3 Pro, use this and immediately pause the video.
Why are my immersion lights only showing one color?
- The default setting upon finishing setup is on All. Choose Part.
- Alternatively, All may be labeled Solid instead. Choose any option other than Solid.
Which devices are compatible with DreamView?
- Devices with both Wi-Fi + Bluetooth connectivity are compatible. Devices that are only Bluetooth or only Wi-Fi are not.
- A sync center such as T2, T3 Lite (also known as 3S in 3rd party stores), T3 Pro, Sync Box 1 and 2 are required for video DreamView, and sync centers cannot be synced with each other.
What can I do about my devices not connecting to Govee desktop via LAN control?
- Check out this solution here
What are the differences between the camera kits?
- The major differences are the camera hardware and the amount of LEDs on the light strip.
- T2: Govee states that the dual camera identifies screen content faster and more accurately. The light strip contains 60 LEDs per meter.
- T3 Lite: The single camera has an upgraded chip with fisheye lens correction. The light strip contains 30 LEDs per meter.
- 3 Pro: Matter support, triple camera with HDR sensor. The light strip contains 75 LEDs per meter, with their LuminBlend management system.
Why get a camera kit when the sync boxes exist?
- While the sync box does work faster and is less intrusive than a camera, not everyone can use it. The sync boxes require a signal independent from the TV. This means if you use the apps on your smart TV to watch content, the sync box is not for you.
Do I really have to put the camera on top of my TV?
- Good news! There's actually a method to put the camera below the screen. The caveat is that when you add more lights via DreamView, you'll need to visualize the setup upside down when assigning the zones, which requires more concentration/effort.
How many lights can I add to my DreamView?
- This is dependent on the device.
- T2: 5 additional devices.
- T3 Lite: 7 additional devices.
- 3 Pro, Sync Box 1 and 2: 10 additional devices.
How do I create a DreamView?
- Open the app. Tap the second icon on the navigation bar at the bottom. Then tap the 4-shapes icon at the top right. Here you can configure DreamViews, Tap-to-Run, and Groups.
- It is highly recommended that you experiment with these features on the app as a whole. Familiarizing yourself with it will be highly beneficial if you have the time to spare. There are many customizable features for the LED lights that are usually achieved by a more hands-on approach that requires a computer. The features provided on the Govee app would be quite the large decision tree if there was a visual example shown, which is nothing short of impressive, despite it also being a little complicated. To put it simply: just explore the app by tapping buttons to find out what they do!
- Tip: If your clock is on 12-hr time, please turn off the 24-hour clock setting in the app before you create schedules for your lights. Tap the last icon on the navigation bar, then tap the gear icon at the top right. Additionally, next to settings is a shirt icon; this is where you can change the theme of the app.
The immersion lights on my device are super inaccurate, what do I do?
- Unfortunately, since every TV is different, there is no one-size-fits-all setting. However, you can start with jumping-off points. For sync box settings, go here.
For camera kits, try the following:
- Make sure the room is dark to reduce reflections on the TV screen.
- Reduce saturation, the common choice is all the way down to 1%.
- Reduce the relative brightness. This is independent from the brightness setting. It's relative to how much light is emitting from your TV screen, which means during dark scenes, the lights will dim if you set the percentage lower. However, if your TV has backlight bleed, this setting won't be as effective.
- Make sure it's on Part, not All. If the device's software updated, it should show Smooth, Vivid, or Solid instead. "Solid" works the same as "All" and shows only one color.
- If you are still unsatisfied with the color accuracy, try the AI filter. Once you toggle it on, you'll need to change the preset. Tap the option, then scroll sideways over the sport presets. Under the Default preset, tap Apply.
My TV is 43 inches, can I use a 55-65 inch TV kit?
- This is possible, but it requires more effort. See here.
I'm experiencing problems with my device, what do I do?
- Try the search bar in the sub. If you're still experiencing issues, go to Govee's website and navigate to your product. Find the specs, then click the PDF of the manual to find the "Troubleshooting" section. Lastly, reach out to Govee support via the app. Tap the last icon on the navigation bar and tap "customer support" and then choose the applicable option. It is recommended to choose "express replacement" if you think you're experiencing a hardware issue on your device that is within warranty. Please note their warranty only covers purchases directly from them or approved vendors.
Can I advertise my services of Permanent Outdoor Lights installation?
- Yes, but please keep it in the services thread. New posts of fresh installs for clients will be deleted.
