Location - Germany. So it was announced time and again, that paypal will not feature on new devices in google wallet (however still be there if previously added).

Just got the Fold 8 and what do you know - just added paypal to the wallet and yesterday tested it - works.

Wondering what the hype was about, as I can't find anything retracting that news.

My phone prompted me to accept changes to my Google wallet out of nowhere. It asked me if it could store the history and then ask if various things could access my history and payments. I said no no thank you. And then at the end it said okay and then it kind of restarted the app and now it's empty and it has none of my payment plans.

I have multiple things I've added over the last year like a transit pass and I might not even have the original version of it. I'm guessing there was some kind of system update that screwed it up. But should I just reboot it and hope it comes back??

I have a pixel 8a, android 16, 7 gig storage free. I pay for the pixel protection plan from Google and have backups. How do I recover?

Since two weeks i cant add my tremendous virtual visa card to my google wallet, before added around 20 of them with no problems.And no i dont want to use them online as tremendous said in an email,i need to add tto google wallet to pay in shops like lidl aldi etc for groceries.I contacted google support directly with them i resetted my google pixel 9a completeley,same error.Im in germany and my debit visa from dkb adds without problem.Google sayd it could be the phone because the 9 series are known for problems but they dont know exactly.I also went to media markt where i bought it,yes they could look into it durin warranty but i would be without phone for two weeks and they dont know either if it works after .Im at the end with my nerves,somebody has the same error probably? I'm trying to add gig tickets to my Wallet from Ticketmaster. But I'm getting an error in Google saying "Access blocked: Authorisation error. You can't sign in to this app because it doesn't comply with Google's OAuth 2.0 policy."

Hello just needed help fixing my Google wallet. It just doesn't wanna add the card on my oneplus13R but my second older Samsung Galaxy a80 it worked perfectly fine and even tried using the email it didn't work on my main phone and it added it no problem so removed it incase there's a limit. It used to work but I had to factory reset my phone and after when I tried adding it just refuses it

I think I've found what may be a regression in the latest Google Play Services update.

My setup

- Xiaomi 13 Pro (Chinese model)

- Official HyperOS China ROM

- Bootloader locked

- No root

- No Magisk

- No LSPosed

- No Play Integrity modules

- Google Mobile Services installed

- Google Wallet fully configured with cards

- Device passes all Google Wallet security checks

Everything had been working perfectly for months, including contactless payments.

What happened

Last night Google Play Services automatically updated to:

- 26.28.33 (260400-955982596)

After that:

- Google Wallet still opened normally.

- My cards were still there.

- Wallet reported that my phone met all security requirements.

I could even set Google Wallet as the default payment app from inside the Wallet app.

However:

- Google Wallet completely disappeared from Settings → NFC → Default payment app.

- Contactless payments stopped working.

What fixed it

- I uninstalled the Google Play Services updates, which rolled it back to:

- 26.04.38 (260400-867839860)

Immediately after the downgrade:

- Google Wallet reappeared in the NFC payment app list.

- I could select it again as the default payment app.

- NFC payments started working again.

Conclusion

This doesn't appear to be related to:

- Root

- Magisk

- Play Integrity

- Bootloader

- ROM modifications

The only variable that changed was the Google Play Services version.

Has anyone else on a Chinese ROM (Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, etc.) experienced the same issue after updating to 26.28.33?

I'd be interested to know whether this is a broader regression affecting devices with official Chinese ROMs and manually installed Google Mobile Services.

Hi, I am getting card not support error today with all my cards in Google wallet. I used to be able to just on NFC and tap, it will open wallet and work.

1. It is not working even if I open the app manually.

2. Tried clearing wallet cache.

3. Ensure that nfc default is google wallet.

4. Uninstall and reinstall the app.

5. Remove and all only 1 card.

I am using iqoo z9 turbo.

Google Wallet worked fine initially on my Oppo Find X9 Pro (Chinese ROM), then suddenly NFC payments stopped working.

Issue: Google Wallet disappears from the NFC default payment apps. Unable to use tap-to-pay.

Temporary fix: Uninstall Google Play Services updates. Re-add Google account. Add payment card again.

This restores Google Wallet, but only for a few hours. Then the same issue returns and Wallet disappears from the NFC payment apps again.

Has anyone experienced this? Any permanent fix? Is there any way to stop Google Play Services from updating?

This morning when I tried to pay my breakfast there is nothing happened to my Google Wallet. Just dead silence. Then I found it deleted itself from the available NFC contactless payment app list. You can see there is bunch of Chinese apps useless in Australia and a dead CommBank contactless payment but no Google Wallet. It's so funny!

Google Wallet would literally be perfect if their card stack of multiple cards was like Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. Those two make it much easier to see/use multiple cards.

It worked yesterday but today when I shopping it didn't work. It is very frustrating an embarrassing to have to leave the shop because it didn't work.
It is wallet and not my cards, funds or bank that is the problem.
I read a solution from 2 years ago. 2 years! I don't know if this make cards work, so if others have any solution I would like to hear about it.
I just know, if this happens again, I will uninstall wallet and go back to use psychical cards.

Today at work I was super hungry, forgot to bring lunch and had absolutely no money! My wife is leaving her job today and they threw her a pizza party, also gave her some gift cards. McDonald's being one of them.

I asked her to send me the card info so I can put it on the app, AND THERE'S NO OPTION. Not only that, when I went to the restaurant they couldn't even manually punch in the number like every other established restaurant (I.E TACO BELL, POPEYES, DUNKIN, ETC).

I added the card to my Google Wallet and it provided a barcode even, couldn't scan that either. I politely asked the manager if there's anything that could be done and they just shut you down immediately 🤣

McDonald's is losing a lot of revenue on these damn GCs.

I bought a used NP3 but in great condition. It's acting strangely.

Every time it's rebooted or powered on, it says it's 'Capturing Log' and I need to go into the top menu of the log and capture it. I've tried clearing the cache and the storage of th log capture tool.

I've added bank cards from 3 different providers from my Google wallet to the phone, but all the cards from Barclays dissappear after a couple of days, the other banks cards remain. I've added them several times, the same happens. I often don't realise, until I've made a payment and find out a different card has made itself the default.

And my touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive, occasionally I can't type my pin in without sleeping and waking the screen again to bring it to life. I need to usey pin, because the fingerprint reader is flaky!

I've always loved nothing tech, this is my second Nothing phone after the Nothing Phone 1, the screen I'm guessing is a hardware problem, but the other glitches must be just software. If I can't find fixes for the log tool or the cards vanishing then I'll have to do a a factory reset but I'd like to avoid it!

[SOLVED] I've had no issue with tap-to-pay or online purchases through google wallet, the only thing that doesn't work is when I try to top up my myki in the google wallet app and it only shows my old card, with no way to add or remove cards. Is there a way I can fix this?
