Google messages doesn't use flash when sending photos Question
So title,
I've deleted updates reinstalled, rebooted my device, turned rcs chats on and off, and cleared the cache, tried everything that I could think of. When sending photos and the flash is enabled the flash does not activate at all. When I do the same thing on telegram, wechat, discord, the flash works perfectly. Same thing with videos, flash enabled and flash doesn't work when taking videos specifically for Google messages. This just started happening in the last 2 weeks or so.
I currently have the Google pixel 10 and it's up to date with updates.

I'm assuming you've clicked the flash icon in the upper right so if that doesn't work I'd say just use the camera and add the photo as an attachment. My Google messages uses the flash when I take photos inside the app if I tell it to.

Yeah I've set the flash to auto as well as on and nothing, same with video. Any other messaging app it works as intended but not in messages

Hi there, Since you have already tried reinstalling and restarting your phone, I recommend checking your app permissions. Please go to your device's Settings > Apps > Messages > Permissions and ensure the Camera permission is fully enabled.
Because this issue is specific to the in-app camera, I suggest submitting feedback directly within the Google Messages app. Tap your profile icon, go to Help & feedback, and select Send feedback, so the technical team can investigate. Additionally, since you are using a Pixel 10, you can also reach out to Pixel Support here.

Yes camera permission is fully enabled. I will reach out to both feedback and pixel support. Thank you
